In the end, LA Solar was pretty excellent, and after looking at a number of different options, and getting quotes from several different competitors, I'm really happy I went with LA Solar. That said, I had the misfortune to work with a sales rep who left the company mid-way through the process, and he left me in a lurch. There were miscommunications and confusion when it came time to install (a smaller, 8-panel system), and a lack of communication afterwards. I would say it was more that individual though, as when I went around him, everyone else at LA Solar was very helpful, much more communicative, and made sure the process sailed smoothly. The installation team was especially pro, and now that everything's running, I'm quite happy. Not the ideal experience, but I would still recommend LA Solar.

Great Quote, fairly competitive with Tesla. Very Good Experience with the Sales process, sales staff was very responsive. So, far poor communications during the install process. Very slow email response times, in order of days for simple questions and most of the time half of my questions go unanswered.I had some issues with the install and after some communications, I got a response from Stan and they agreed to send someone out to fix my issues! Thanks Stan

There is room for improvement but I’ve gotten good feedback and quick responses. There was some difficulty with some members not getting back to me but other people were quick to respond. I haven’t had any problems with the equipment. It is performing as expected. It is super convenient. It was good and quick and easy to get it put up.

Everything was done but they kind of dropped the ball on the initial install. It took a little bit to get over the humps. They did not show up when they said they would. The equipment is good but there was a failure on one of the inverters that was replaced.

It's good equipment. It is the leading equipment offered in the industry. It took a long time for it to get installed and there was some issues because of poor communication. Once the system was installed, customer service was very good, but during it, it was problematic.

La solar has a higher wattage panel. It is good and seems to be working well. There were a few things that they had to come back to fix. There was a bit of delay but it was resolved and it got done.

Installation went pretty good. They have qualified technicians. I am not suer about the equipment. I have already replacing the inverter within eight months. Customer service responds quickly and come when they let me know.

I originally purchased solar from LA Solar, they were not great at communicating, were a bit delayed in installing, but eventually came through. More recently I decided to add some Tesla Powerwalls to my system and I decided to try LA Solar again. They installed the Powerwalls which was very complicated ordeal with lots of new panels and conduit. It took most of the day and they didn't finish until the sun was going down, so they said they couldn't commission the battery, they'd come back to do that, but no worries since we didn't have permission to operate (PTO). Later they had to come back to do the inspection. Only had a few minor issues noted, which were fixed promptly and the inspector passed the system. Finally got PTO, had a bit of a rough time getting anyone out to commission my system, but they finally did. Deducted one star for the delays in commissioning, but the install looks solid and the batteries are performing as expected with my previous solar install. Now I am fully solar, with enough batteries to back up my whole house. All said and done, I'd use LA Solar again.

After the project for my home went on with periods of work being postponed, I escalated the issue. LA Solar made up for the lost time and was very responsive to my requests then completed the job with no further issues. Four stars because I wish I didn’t have to go through escalation to get the project to completion. The service I received at the end though was excellent!

It's been 3 years since LA Solar installed a 7.8 kW system on my roof that provides about 80% of our energy needs. It's performed better than expected and I expect to recoup my initial net investment in about 2 more years. We paid for the system upfront and got a nice break from their initial estimate. The system itself is one of the cleanest installations that I have seen, all of the panels laid out contiguously. Would not hesitate to recommend Gary L and the company.
