Earthlight Tech is a great, CT-based company that I really enjoyed working with for my solar installation and maintenance. I had my solar system (27 panels) installed in April 2021, and have had a wonderful experience since! Earthlight walked me through each step, answered all my questions, provided me with quality service, and maintained great follow-up. I have saved several thousand dollars per year since having the panels, and with state and federal credits, my system will have paid off in a few more years. One essential factor for me in selecting Earthlight is their local, strong reputation. I didn't want a big national company to come in and never follow up with me on any concerns or overcharge me (what happened to Tesla's roof solar shingle system, see their recent lawsuit!). All around, I am very satisfied with Earthlight and if ever expanding my system or getting another new system - I would choose Earthlight!!

We worked with Earthlight Technologies from start to finish to install solar panels on our home in Groton. They were perfect every step of the way. A representative came to our home and explained the system and answered all our questions about installation cost, government and utility company subsidies and how we could expect to see our electric costs reduced. The installation was quick, neat and professional. It took a while for EVERSOURCE to turn the system on, but once they did it has worked perfectly. We have an EV which we charge at our home and we’ve installed heat pumps as well, so our use of oil and gas is now limited to gas for the stove and making hot water. From the time the system was activated, we haven’t paid a penny for electric. We wanted to own our system, so we quickly eliminated companies that were only willing to lease. We financed the full purchase price of the system with a low interest loan that Earthlight can explain. The cost of that is about one-third what our electric bill used to be. All in all, an amazing experiences and a rare chance to make a meaningful reduction in home ownership costs!

Earthlight installed our PV system in May 2023. Excellent service. Everything worked and works as indicated and according to the signed contract. No pressure sales, no distractions, clear information. The costs were competitive with other comparable offers and included reinforcing the roof to carry the load. We did not have to deal with any of the required reviews and permits by town, Eversource, engineers, etc. Highly satisfied with the Earthlight experience.

Communication was a key factor. No hard sales pressure. Told us the information and shared it via email which was so different than our three other solar companies, who quoted us. The installation of panels and charging station all occurred on one day and went smoothly. The crew was respectful to us, and our house and more refreshingly, they were polite and respectful to each other. A local company with all the work done by their own employees. Highly recommend.

I switched to Solar! I went with Earthlight because of people I know that had great experiences with them. I especially love that they are family owned as opposed to the many larger companies that wouldn’t give you such personal attention. From the first meeting to go over things to the install and follow ups to make sure everything was perfect…was a great experience. I highly recommend. Remember - it doesn’t cost anything to just check it out 😉

Even though it took some months after our initial contracting to have the solar panels installed, Earthlight was excellent at maintaining communication. Once we were set for installation, Earthlight moved fast with the town and the electric company to finalize and get us connected. We're now happily enjoying watching the sun power our electricity! Note: at this writing, we haven't yet received a bill from the electric company so can't note the savings.

We put in a large (14kw) system for our house. The proposal process was efficient and easy. Installation on 3 roofs was quick and neat. Their electrician did a first class job (I know, I'm an engineer). The installers, engineer and technical people were all patient to answer questions before, during and after. The system, after 3 months is producing exactly as guaranteed and our utilities bills have come down to almost nothing. A great job.

Sales experience with Dave P was excellent! Knowledgeable, friendly, and listened to our concerns and questions. No pressure sales experience. The day of installation, the team came in like ninjas! On the roof, in the attic, basement, and outside installing panels! Left the place immaculate and we’re done by the end of the day.
