In January of 2024 I was considering purchasing a home in the Arvada, Colorado area. The home had a solar system that was mostly completed, but not approved for a meter. The company that had installed the system went out of business. I contacted a number of solar companies for assistance, but most of them said that they were not interested in assisting me or would have an exorbitant charge. Only Nathan B of Sopris Solar was willing to help, had the necessary expertise, a working relationship with Xcel and would have a reasonable charge for services. With Sopris’s help the system was modified and commissioned. I strongly suggest contacting Sopris Solar for your solar system maintenance needs. Sincerely, James Lieberman

I have been a GC for nearly 30 years now. This is by far the worst contractor I have ever dealt with. They caused significant damage to the roof and gutters, they caused significant damage to the interior of the home, they did not install the system per the engineering drawings, they did not use the correct mounting system per the engineering drawings and because they exceeded the allowable cantilever of the mounts several of the panels broke. They have refused to correct the situation and do not communicate with me and the owner of the house. I warn you, I have dealt with a lot of bad contractors over the years. Sopris Solar is truly the worst I have ever encountered. DO NOT HIRE THEM TO INSTALL A PV ARRAY!! You will regret it.

Sopris was not the company I purchased from. I used Ideal Home Energy and they were absolutly horribly. When Ideal folded, they left me hanging just short of permission to operate. I called Sopris to help me get finished up. Nathan was awsome about getting everything finished up and generating power. They came out and fixed some faulty wiring and got me set up where I can utilize the my solar edge app. I would highly recommend them for new Installation or trouble shooting problems and getting you up and running!

I had 4 companies talk to me and I considered them all. The Radical Solar personnel which we dealt with had such integrity. They know their stuff. The value we got was unmatchable. Their workmanship was immaculate with attention to all the details, communication and to do it right. They take pride in their company. Give them a call before you sign with anyone. You don't find this personal care and integrity very often anymore.

All I can say is fantastic! They did a fantastic job installing my panels. When they came to give me a quote it was very reasonable. They also gave me great financing options. I would highly recommend these guys.

Removal and Reinstall We have a SolarCity system and they were the only company that was able to come out and remove the system and reinstall after a hailstorm. They also worked directly without an insurance company.

Don't do it! They are incompetent!! Don't do it!!! I signed contract April 2022, still Sopris has not all the required permits in hand, and want to change, increase, the contract amount to charge more. They already have over $37,00.00 of my money since before May 2022 and no construction has begun by them. Many promises have been stated, yet most have not been fulfilled. They are really good at delaying and delaying and delaying with excuse after excuse. Despite setting up a weekly update meeting in July 2022, is has only been followed through maybe 4 of the 12 times. They even delivered the wrong material, the main wire to be used from the panels to the house (Sopris brought aluminum wire and not copper as it is suppose to be), which was not the wire THEY specified for my job! The management is incompetent in many ways. They simply do not know what they are doing, or so it is clearly evident in my case. If I could give them less than one star I would give them zero. Finally, I suggest you do a thorough background check on the owner, Nathan B. before you sign anything. Beware of managing partner Scot B. too! dean quint

I am sorry you feel this way. We have tried numerous times in the last five months to complete your project and have been met with nothing but abusive and negative responses. If you are going to leave reviews, please be accurate because otherwise these review sites do not help homeowners in evaluating solar installers and is a disservice to the industry. I think that our reputation speaks for itself and I will not let you CONTINUE to bully our project managers, installers and staff. Either let us install your system or we can deliver all of your material that is in our warehouse to your home and you can install the system. yourself. Both of these options have been provided to you on numerous occasions.

So far real happy with the solar home experience. The first bill (electric) went down about 60%, waiting for June's bill to get here after the smart meter was put in.

This company is a total scam, I am have a solar installation company About Time Solar, we were hired by these scumbags to try, and clean up what they had started, never were paid, the even owe there employees. We turned it over to collections, since then, I learned this is common practice for them. They have almost bankrupted several companies. STAY AWAY

We started the installation over a year ago and it is still not up and running. They are non responsive and will not finish the work they started. They are not helpful and as I said very unresponsive to our request to help get the city inspection done so we can use our installed but not connected system. We lost the whole year of solar savings!
