The Good

  • Price Transparency
  • Mice Treatment Included in Basic Plans
  • Full Exclusion 12-Month Warranty
  • Extensive Termite Education

Price Transparency

Not all pest control companies are transparent about their prices, but Active Pest Control offers full exposure to its starting prices for all different kinds of pest control. The company offers three main packages, with an additional mosquito treatment package:

Monthly Packages

  • $50 per Month Plan — Covers centipedes, crickets, earwigs, mice, millipedes, roaches, silverfish, spiders, ants, sowbugs, pillbugs, scorpions, and mosquitoes. There is a $50 service fee associated with this plan. Over a 12-month timeframe, the minimum cost for this plan would be $650.
  • $70 per Month — This plan covers all pests in the $50 plan and additionally treats termites, mosquitoes, carpenter Ants, carpenter Bees, german roaches, hornets, bees, wasps, bed bugs, fleas and ticks. This plan does not treat honey bees, wood destroying fungus, or any type of beetles. It also requires a $199 initial fee. Over a 12-month timeframe, the minimum cost for this plan would be $1,039.

Quarterly Plans

  • $95 per Quarter — This plan is the same as the $50 a month plan but does not include mosquito treatment. There is a $95 initial service fee. Over a 12-month timeframe, the minimum cost for this plan would be $475.

Mosquito Package

  • $45 per Month — This plan is for an 8-month mosquito service treatment. Both monthly plans include mosquito coverage, meaning that this plan is ideal for those on the quarterly plan. Over an 8-month timeframe for just the mosquito treatment, the minimum cost for this plan would be $360. Using the quarterly plan with the mosquito package over an 8-month timeframe would likely be a minimum of $740.

If you’re looking for the most basic pest control with mosquito treatment, the $50 a month plan is the best option, offering the lowest price for services over a 12-month time frame.

If you are looking for more advanced pest control for certain pests like termites, bees (excluding honey bees), wasps, bed bugs, fleas, or ticks, the $70 a month plan is the best (and only) option for treating these pests.

Choosing Active Pest Contorl’s quarterly plan with or without a mosquito package may seem cheaper, but in the long run, one of the company’s monthly plans is a better, more cost-friendly option.

Mice Treatment Included in Basic Plans

Many times rodent treatments fall under separate wildlife plans that must be purchased by the homeowner in addition to general pest control; however, Active Pest Control offers mice control as part of all three of its monthly or quarterly plans. This is a great advantage for customers looking for basic pest control and mice elimination from their home.

Full Exclusion 12-Month Warranty

Active Pest Control offers full exclusion wildlife treatment, meaning that the company will seal off all points of entry for wildlife in your home. Doing so prevents the further and future entry of wildlife into the home and helps give peace of mind to customers. Active Pest Control offers a unique 12-month warranty guarantee when choosing the full exclusion option for wildlife pest control.

Extensive Termite Education

Provided on Active Pest Control’s website is a plethora of educational information on termites. This can be helpful for customers to self-identify if or what kind of termite problem they have and the best options for elimination. A focus on termites shows Active Pest Control as an expert and thought-leader and in the termite field.

I have been using this company for over 5 years now and I can honestly say that they are a great company. The individual who comes to my house monthly is very nice, professional and I like the quality of service that I receive monthly . The bugs 🐜 are gone and the product doesn’t harm my kids

Active was absorbed by Rentokil. After multiple unsatisfactory customer service experiences I made the decision to 'bite the bullet' and switch everything (quarterly pest control treatments, and ultimately transferring my termite bond) to a different company. These unsatisfatory customer service experiences included problems with scheduling services and difficulty in making contact (via the call center and website) to resolve issues. I found a nice, locally run company with people who understand the importance of providing high quality customer service. I am very happy I switched to a new supplier of pest control services, terminating my business relationship with Active.

They are bad! Don't come close! I ordered their service, it was difficult to communicate, they did not arrive when they were supposed to And to top it all off, they charged me $1500 just for one visit to set the traps for the rats! Then I simply canceled the service, I had no choice despite the price

This company has been purchased by another company, products they are using is not as effective, I have requested in my profile to have morning services. I keep having to reschedule. They come out to do a whole house spray, but the technician is not prepared they have to get permission from a supervisor, although I requested that in my scheduling.

Active Pest control came once a year to take care of termites. We have never had an issue with termite damage. They only treated the outside.
