Founded in 2017, Anthem Pest provides eco-friendly pest control solutions to homeowners in Georgia and Texas. The pest control company advertises fast service, usually within 24 hours of the initial request, and will customize its seasonal solutions depending on the specific needs of the customer as well as the types of unwanted pests that may attempt to enter their home. Anthem Pest guarantees all its work will be 100 percent satisfactory, or the service is free.

The Good

  • NPMA Membership
  • Free Initial Quote
  • Member Benefits
  • Free Reservice

NPMA Membership

Anthem Pest is a member of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), an industry-recognized nonprofit that promotes best practices within pest control by providing professional development, asset management, and certification programs. Although Anthem Pest has not disclosed whether its technicians have been certified in the NPMA’s QualityPro or GreenPro programs, membership alone goes a long way toward improving the way Anthem conducts business and client relations, as well as in the use of pet-safe and children-safe insecticides and products.

Free Initial Quote

Anthem Pest provides a free initial quote on all services. If the customer agrees to services, a licensed Anthem Pest exterminator will treat both the inside and the outside of the home. Following this initial visit, Anthem will return for quarterly inspections and re-treatments, customizing each treatment for the following common household pests:

  • Spring — Cockroaches, spiders, and ants
  • Summer — Wasps, ants, stinging insects, ticks, and house crickets
  • Fall — Spiders, rats, and mice
  • Winter — Spiders, earwigs, mice, and rats

The company also provides specialized pest control services for silverfish, bed bugs, rodents, beetles, fleas, and other critters.

Member Benefits

Anthem wants to make the pest control process as easy and straightforward as possible for its customers, and this mentality affects every step. For example, current customers who prepay their annual subscription (advertised at around $1 per day) through Anthem Pest’s online portal will receive a 5 percent discount on the retail price.

After the first year of service, Anthem customers will continue to receive as-needed spot treatment in and around their homes, as well as gain exclusive access to monthly promotions.

Free Reservice

As part of the company’s 100 percent satisfaction guarantee, Anthem Pest offers free unlimited re-treatments in the event that customers are not completely satisfied, or if an unexpected infestation occurs between seasonal applications.

The Bad

  • No Additional Services
  • No Termite Control
  • Limited Availability

No Additional Services

Unfortunately, Anthem’s services are limited to pest control for insects and rodents. The company does not appear to provide customers with wildlife management, control, or removal services, lawn care services, or attic and crawl space inspection or repair. Leading players in the pest control industry like Terminix, provide comprehensive services inside and out.

No Termite Control

The company does not appear to control for termite infestation problems, which can sometimes result in hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in home and property damage.

Limited Availability

Anthem Pest is only available in select cities in Georgia and Texas, namely the greater Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston metros and surrounding areas. Although these areas comprise more than 340 cities, this limited services area can still put Anthem Pest at a disadvantage when compared with nationally recognized brands. One way to level the playing field is through leveraging verified Anthem Pest reviews from actual customers.

The Bottom Line

With more than 30 combined years of experience in the pest control industry, Anthem Pest could be a great solution for homeowners living in the greater Atlanta, Dallas, or Houston metropolitan areas. The company provides competitive prices by industry standards, and its association with the NPMA implies its drive to provide excellent, safe, services. If customers are looking for help with anything beyond general pest control (e.g. wildlife management, insect damage, lawn maintenance, etc.), they should look elsewhere.

This company is a scam and does not complete the services listed in the contract. First service they did not come in the house or garage, did not fog for mosquitoes in the yard front or back and did not spray around the pool (all these items listed in contract and charged extra for). I cancelled 2 days after signing contract but then they showed up the next month and charged again. Still did not do half the items they are supposed to. This month I was charge and they never showed up. After two weeks I was notified someone would be coming and I asked why it wasn’t cancelled. Because the manager didn’t file with the office they charged me another $199. I have all the messages between myself and manager but they still charged me. Do not buy their claims about effectiveness either. Rep told me fogging method was better and second tech who showed up sprayed with liquid. When I questioned this he reversed himself and said liquid was better which is what my previous pest company used. All around terrible service and company

Don't fall for this company, it's not worthy for the money. They visited my home and requested me use the services. After that they charged lot of money on monthly basis and If I want to cancel the service, the customer care lady saying that we cannot close the account as you signed for the 2 year agreement which I'm not aware of. Don't fall for this company and beware of these kind of people.

I was sold one thing & was provided another. The salesman told me my entire yard would be treated. When the tech gets here he says he's only doing 6 ft, 3 up the side of my house, 3 ft out from the house. I switched from Moxie because they only did 30 ft & I really like the idea of my entire yard being done. I called & called & finally got them to concede to do the 30 ft. They absolutely refused to do what I had been sold. Don't get suckered into using this company. You can't get any higher up than a very rude woman who refuses to follow through. The owner refuses to respond to any messages he's sent either. So, Please, use another company.

Customer Service is amazing... Wish I didn't have to deal with them. This company "completed" services multiple times... but never actually came. I was suspicious so I worked from home during the day of my "service". I received a "service completed" notification and confirmed that I was being charged for literally ZERO work. Once I documented this, the company let me out of my agreement with no issue.. but I would not recommend this service to my neighbor. It might have been an honest mistake, but still.. It's not acceptable in my book. :)
