LendNation is a small-dollar, short-term lender founded in 1984 and based in Lenexa, Kansas. It is owned by QC Holdings, Inc. QCHI's many retail store locations have been known under many different names including Check$mart, Quick Cash, and Q C Finance. In recent years, the company has transitioned the branding of its operations in most states to LendNation, but some still retain their original names and simply work as a part of the LendNation network. It offers both online and in-store products and services.

As with all payday lenders, or short-term lenders focusing on consumers with poor credit, loan types, loan terms, maximum amounts, and the available annual percentage rate (APR) is dependent upon local and state deferred deposit loan or short-term cash loan statutes. Some states only allow installment-based loans, while others allow typical payday or cash advance loans that have to be paid back within two to four weeks.

LendNation's main lending products are determined by local governments and interest rate laws for each state. Depending on your state, you could be able to get a traditional payday loan, also known as a cash advance, a personal installment loan, or an auto title loan.

The average APR for a 14-day payday loan from this company is 533 percent, but payday loan APRs range from 300 percent to 800 percent. Loan origination fees (for installment loans) are included in total APRs. LendNation offers loans in the following states:

In most of LendNation's states, consumers can apply online or in a local store. The loan application process doesn't rely on your credit score, as this lender doesn't do a traditional credit check. There is no hard pull to show up on your credit report. Loan decisions are based on the personal information you provide about your income and employment.

LendNation has several basic application requirements for people that want to borrow money:

An active checking account
Valid telephone number
Valid email address
Verifiable source of income

Once you fill an online application with this lending company, your pre-approval offer is immediately accepted or declined. You don't have to wait to receive any word. From there, you will have to talk to someone from LendNation's customer service department for actual loan approval. You will be contacted by phone from one of LendNation's employees to talk about loan options if you are pre-approved.

If you apply for your loan online, funds typically can be received via direct deposit within one business day or you can pick up cash at a local location, if available.
In-store applicants may need to provide photo ID, like a driver's license, and references are needed in some states.

Consumers can pay off their short-term loans with LendNation early. There is no early repayment fee in this company's loan agreement.

As with all payday loans and personal installment loans catered to people with little, no, or bad credit history, LendNationals products and services are an expensive form of credit. If you have access to a Payday Alternative Loan from your local credit union, or you are able to get a less expensive loan, that is always recommended.

Fees

Even if you took out a small loan with this type of lender, you need to be aware that there are likely going to be late payment fees and NSF insufficient funds fees if they try to debit money from your checking account, but the request is returned due to insufficient funds. These vary from state to state, but for example, the NSF fee is $30 and if your payment is ten or more days late, the fee is 5 percemt of the payment due, up to $7.50.

In some states, LendNation offers a pay-in-full option, or a 5 percent principal paydown plus interest to spread it into three payments.

At this time, we need a little more information about LendNation's critical policies and fees that are charged to customers. It is pretty hard to track down a maximum APR range, because some of the company's state-specific pages are lacking rate information.

This is the best company I have ever encountered. The people here in Manhattan as well as the people who call when you default a loan. I have been working on fixing my defaulted loan. Three weeks after my default. My 25 year old daughter was hospitalized for a liver condition. I had promised some kind of payment and couldn't make it due to her be hospitalized. They call 2 week later just to check on how we were. Never hounded me about my payment. Then promised again and in Dec I had a 7 bypass heart surgery. I get a call yet again in Jan after explaining my situation! She never asked me for my payment even though I was much better. I get a third call on 3/8/24. Was asked how I was. I said I know I missed my payment. The girl on the phone said, oh honey wasn't calling to ask about the missed payment I was seeing how you and your daughter are doing. Then I began to cry. This company to me is 100,% very customer oriented. I will always recommend anyone needing a loan. Best company ever. Go Lend nation.

I wouldn’t even put a star I feel like people that don’t know what their doing should not be working there especially 1st if they don’t know how to explain things 2nd no communication on the steps and 3rd money gets withdrawn from your account and whether on accident or supposedly cash was paid, they don’t know how it was withdrawn from your debit card this is crap. This is the third bad experience for a simple payday change. I hope others have a better experience for anyone else that chooses this company.

Lending nation is a great place to get a loan from. If you have a job and a bank account you can apply for a loan. The customer service is great and I would not go to any other location for a loan. Loretta is it great employee that works at the Gravois and Jefferson location. She always gives customers outstanding service and I would recommend asking for her if you would like to apply for a cash or title loan. She is a great asset for Lending Nation.

Kim at lendnation on glenstone in Springfield was Awesome I live out of town by an hr or more she walked me through the steps 🚶‍♂️ I've used lend nation in the past when in a pinch just paid my last loan off early saving me hundreds on interest she got me approved for more than what I needed even set up auto bill pay told me how I can save money in interest in this new loan she was awesome wish more stores and more people could be like Kim's ty Kim and ty lend nation being a disabled veteran I have to be careful of scams she kept me feeling safe and a great feeling to have a cornerstone like that

When we were having problem with repaying they talked us into refinancing the fees and interest making an even larger payment. The call not only use numerous times a day, but the references we listed. This was a six month loan turned into a 2 year loam at 250 every two weeks

What a joke the online application process has been. I have called them 4 times today with a total of 1.5 hrs on hold. Each time they were not clear on the documents, they said that they would call me back after reviewing my information and they never did. I had to call them back and be on hold again for another 30 minutes or so each time. I have used them a handful of times and I liked the experience except this one. Have not decided if I am going to finish my transaction with them yet or go to someone else due to this experience.

So frustrating. The worst customer service I've ever experienced and I'm not typically someone to critique. I couldn't tell u her name if I wanted, she refused to say. Also refused information for a manger.. I have pay stubs bank statement w-2s DL's a letter from this company with an invitation... I've been out of work due to back injury, hence the reason I was considering doing business here and she asked for proof.🤔 which isn't entirely absurd but in a emergency and meeting all requirements stated to follow on line THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY TO DEPEND ON. She was more worried about arguing her point but the most frustrating thing is I heard her lying about me on the phone and then refused me the ability to defend myself. Wish more people cared about lifting each up and helping during these hard times.

Do not use this company. I took out a payday loan paid it off a couple of times and then the lady at the office talked me into taking out a different type of loan said it is better for me. Well the loan goes for almost 2 years I paid 175 every 2 weeks for the first year and every payment went to interest no principal. I have paid for one year so far never missed or late on payment and I looked at my balance. I borrowed 2000 paid 24 payments of 175 and as of now my balance is still 2000. I complied at the store and the lady said the loan for the 1st year is all interest and the next year is mostly principal which means the 2000 dollars will cost me 6400. I can’t believe they would take advantage of their customers especially senior citizens like I am. I ask for leadership to call me or maybe the owner but of course no one there has. The local lady at the store is great. If you need a loan use cash 1, dollar loan center just don’t use this piece of crap store or you will be SORRY YOU DID BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE TOU 2 years to pay it off. These people are nothing but loan sharks and need to be shut down. I can’t believe the owners are able to sleep at night.

My experience with the nation has been rude employees who treat you like second rate citizens who don't deserve the respect that everybody else in the world deserves. The employees both on the phone and in person at the local store in Texas we're extremely rude to me often repeating themselves over and over again as if I have a hearing problem or if I have a learning problem and don't understand what they're saying. Their policies contradict each other between their store and on the phone, and ultimately I have decided not to get a loan through them. I get it that there are a lot of people in this world that try to scam people or companies or just outright don't have the ability to repay a loan, but that does not give these people the right to treat everyone they talk to as though they were not going to repay their loan or as though like I said before they're they are second rates citizens that don't deserve the very best and customer service treatment. I will be taking my business elsewhere,and I would suggest to anyone out there looking for a loan that there are other companies who will treat you better and with more respect, even if you have a low credit score then this company.

This company is a joke! Moscow idaho pulls money out whenever they feel like it. Even when you tell them when you get paid. I have asked them numerous times what does it say on my paperwork when I get paid. They tell me yes we know it's only once a month and when I get paid. So what part of that do they not understand! They will call abd tell me a have a promise to pay on such and such day. Once again I have to ask them and tell them when I get paid. If I could, I would give it no stars!

LendNation is actually a rip off. I took out a loan for $1500 and called to pay it off within 5 days. I was charged $13 plus each day with interest charges. I don’t know anyone who charges that much for freaking interest. A total rip off!!
