Premium Fibrex® Composite Material for Durability and Efficiency

Renewal by Andersen’s windows are made from Fibrex®, a proprietary composite material that combines wood fibers and thermoplastic polymers. This material provides the strength and durability of wood with the low-maintenance benefits of vinyl, making it resistant to issues like warping, cracking, and peeling. Fibrex® offers high insulation, which helps improve energy efficiency by reducing heat transfer. Renewal by Andersen’s windows also have narrower frames, allowing for larger glass areas and improved views without compromising structural integrity.

Wide Range of Customization Options

Renewal by Andersen offers a comprehensive selection of customization options, allowing homeowners to tailor their windows to fit their home’s architectural style and aesthetic preferences. Customers can choose from various frame colors, interior finishes, hardware styles, grille patterns, and glass options. The windows are available in multiple styles, including:

  • Double-Hung Windows: Classic design with two operable sashes that tilt in for easy cleaning.
  • Casement Windows: Hinged at the side and crank-operated for optimal ventilation.
  • Awning Windows: Hinged at the top and designed to open outward, ideal for rainy climates.
  • Sliding Windows: Offer ease of use in tight spaces with a sleek, modern look.

Picture and Specialty Windows: Fixed windows for unobstructed views, as well as specialty shapes like circles, arches, and triangles for unique design accents.
With this level of customization, Renewal by Andersen can match a wide range of design preferences, providing windows that align with the homeowner’s vision and enhance curb appeal.

High Energy Efficiency with SmartSun™ Glass Options

Renewal by Andersen offers several energy-efficient glass options, including their SmartSun™ glass, which is designed to block 95% of harmful UV rays and reduce heat transfer. SmartSun™ glass is ideal for warmer climates, while PassiveSun™ glass provides better insulation for colder climates. Many Renewal by Andersen windows meet or exceed ENERGY STAR® standards, helping homeowners reduce their heating and cooling costs year-round. The combination of Fibrex® frames and high-performance glass options makes Renewal by Andersen windows an excellent choice for those seeking to improve their home’s energy efficiency.

Professional Installation by Certified Installers

Renewal by Andersen provides full-service installation, handled by their team of certified installers. Unlike DIY options or third-party contractors, Renewal by Andersen’s professional installation ensures that each window is custom-fit and installed to exacting standards. Proper installation is essential for maximizing the window’s energy efficiency and longevity, making this service a key advantage for homeowners who want to avoid installation issues that can impact performance. Each installation is backed by a warranty, offering peace of mind for homeowners investing in premium windows.

Comprehensive Warranty Coverage

Renewal by Andersen offers a limited warranty that covers multiple aspects of their windows, providing homeowners with solid protection. The warranty includes:

  • 20 years on Fibrex® material and glass, covering defects in manufacturing and performance.
  • 10 years on hardware components like locks and hinges, ensuring smooth operation.
  • 2 years on installation, guaranteeing workmanship and addressing any installation-related issues.

The warranty is transferable to a new homeowner. While some companies offer a lifetime warranty, Renewal by Andersen’s warranty is highly comprehensive, reflecting the company’s confidence in the durability of their Fibrex® material and energy-efficient glass.

The Bad

  • Premium Pricing
  • Limited Material Options
  • Regional Availability

Premium Pricing Compared to Other Brands

Renewal by Andersen’s windows are known for their high quality, but they come with a premium price tag. The cost per window can range from $1,000 to $2,500, including installation, with larger or specialty windows priced even higher. For budget-conscious homeowners, these prices may be a barrier, especially when compared to brands that offer lower-cost vinyl or fiberglass options. While the premium cost is justified by the product’s durability and energy efficiency, it may not suit every budget. Here is a general cost breakdown:

  • Double-Hung and Sliding Windows: $1,000 - $1,700 per window, including installation.
  • Casement and Awning Windows: $1,200 - $2,000 per window, including installation.
  • Specialty and Picture Windows: $1,500 - $2,500 per window, depending on size and customization.

These prices vary based on factors like window size, glass options, and customization choices. Renewal by Andersen offers financing options, including monthly payment plans, making it easier for homeowners to spread out the cost over time.

Limited Material Options (Only Fibrex®)

Renewal by Andersen exclusively uses Fibrex® composite material for their frames, which, while durable and low-maintenance, limits material choices for customers who may prefer wood, vinyl, or fiberglass. Fibrex® combines the best properties of wood and vinyl, but homeowners specifically seeking traditional wood aesthetics or alternative materials may need to explore other brands. Although Fibrex® performs exceptionally well, some customers may prefer a broader range of material options.

Availability Through Select Regions Only

Renewal by Andersen operates through franchises, and availability is limited to specific regions across the United States. Homeowners outside of these service areas may not have access to Renewal by Andersen products or certified installers. In some locations, the limited number of dealers can also impact scheduling flexibility, particularly during peak seasons. Customers in regions without nearby Renewal by Andersen locations may need to consider other brands with a more extensive geographic reach.

Took 8months to get the windows and had numerous issues with locking and insulation. They sent out a service guy Martin who was rude and basically told me I don't install windows so my opinion is worthless. Ive never had a service person be so loud and unprofessional. I reached out to the office to follow up and they said my ticket was closed. I can't believe I got convinced into spending this kind of money for such a poor experience. Get some employees that care if you want to charge 2x the competition. I had Marvin windows put in my family room a year ago with no issues. They pre-finished the trim for those, Andersen sent out a painter to do it onsite. Just another 2 week wait with no blinds until he arrives. I would not recommend. Based on my experience with Marvin I believe this company does not deliver on their promises. My entire home remodel has been prolonged 6 MONTHS waiting for Andersen. The kitchen was to be finished and we are just resuming work now. Buyer be aware

I used Renewal by Andersen to replace 21 windows in my home. They left trash around my house after the installation. The wood trim was terrible. The trim is crooked, bowed, rough, and they left marks on it. When I complained, I was offered $300 as compensation... <1% of the total cost. I was shown casement windows that were easy to clean and mine don't work like the ones I was shown. Now after the rain recently, water flooded into my basement through the 9 month old windows. I will be paying these windows off for the next 10 years.

My experience with Renewal by Anderson was NOT good. I believe in their quality windows but it was more the scheduling that was poor and the prices of the windows are extravagantly high. I understand the quality but it’s too much! Financing helps but it’s like paying for a full blown kitchen on a set of windows. All in it’s not their quality of product but more their high prices and their practice of getting into your home to pitch you. Ty

Stay away from this company! We paid for every window and door in our home to be replaced. They messed up our order after waiting for months. We had screens rip in the first month and they only replaced one. They stopped taking our calls. We still have ripped screens. A crooked AF NOT LINING UP expensive glass back door. The doors were never sealed properly so guess who gets a ton of brown recluses from under the door. Me!I literally have 2 children that play on the floor. Our doors don't even fully shut. For the price we paid, the doors should SHUT and lock just fine. But they wouldn't know that since they don't take our calls and return them. They got their money and ran.

Unfortunately I have been trying to get Anderson to fix windows installed badly for 3 years. Their own representatives come out and cringe at the bad quality and yet the problems only get worse. I wanted to love my windows especially at 50k!

Renewal by Anderson is an absolute rip-off! Their prices are astronomically off the charts! We sat down with the sales person for hours and when we reached the final costs for our home it was over $80,000. Buy your windows elsewhere unless your fifty rich I suppose. Not to mention they are typical pushy salespeople. Buyer beware!!!

I have never done business with Anderson Windows, however, I receive spam email advertising from them several times a week. I have reported them to our internet provider as well as the federal spam reporting page and still receive spam. They are relentless.

I was trying to make an appointment for an estimate and the lady put me on hold 3 times, then went on to say I probably couldn't afford the windows. I told her good by.
