The Good

  • Simple Process
  • Window Shopping App
  • TruScene Insect Screens

Simple Process

Consumers will find that Renewal by Andersen keeps things simple with its process:

  • Design consultation — Customers can choose from an in-home or no-contact virtual meeting. During this meeting, homeowners can discuss their current needs and style preferences and bring up any concerns.
  • Measure and manufacture new windows — A project technician will verify that everything lines up and answer any last-minute questions.
  • Window installation — The company will send a team of professionals to begin installing the windows. The company ensures customer homes are treated with respect and promises that the team will clean up after they are done.

Renewal by Andersen offers a reasonably extensive limited warranty that protects consumers if the windows don’t function properly.

Window Shopping App

One of the biggest questions homeowners have when it comes to new windows is, “Will it look good in my home?”

To help answer this question, Renewal by Andersen makes it simple to test out all the different product lines, styles, and options.

Via a mobile phone or tablet, homeowners can easily design a window with Renewal by Andersen’s augmented reality tool. Consumers choose the exterior, interior, and hardware color they prefer and a grille pattern. Once you have designed your ideal window, you can easily use the AR tool and view it in your home. This should help give consumers a good idea of what their new windows will look like once installed.

TruScene Insect Screens

TruScene Insect Screens by Andersen is made from a micro-fine stainless steel mesh about a third of the diameter of standard screen wire. This screen efficiently keeps bugs out while leaving your view unobstructed.

Renewal by Andersen boasts that this screen offers 50 percent more clarity than its standard insect screens. Or, in simpler terms, it’s nearly invisible.

The Bad

  • Undisclosed Pricing

Undisclosed Pricing

Renewal by Andersen doesn’t disclose window pricing information on its website. To receive information on pricing for the products and services you want to purchase, you need to schedule an appointment for a free consultation. The consultant will give you an estimate of the charges you might face when using Renewal by Andersen.

Several consumers mentioned pricing in their reviews. The overall consensus seemed that Renewal by Andersen was average with pricing. Consumers felt that the windows were of excellent quality and even saved them money on their utility bills, but it wasn’t the cheapest option on the market.

The Bottom Line

Renewal by Andersen is an experienced window and door installation company that focuses on quality, innovation, and superior craftsmanship. The company works with homeowners to help them design their dream windows and even allows consumers to use technology to view the windows on their house virtually.

There are a variety of products to choose from, so consumers should be able to find something that suits their style and lifestyle. Pricing will vary for each customer, but from reviews, it seems that Renewal by Andersen is reasonably priced.

Unfortunately I have been trying to get Anderson to fix windows installed badly for 3 years. Their own representatives come out and cringe at the bad quality and yet the problems only get worse. I wanted to love my windows especially at 50k!

Renewal by Anderson is an absolute rip-off! Their prices are astronomically off the charts! We sat down with the sales person for hours and when we reached the final costs for our home it was over $80,000. Buy your windows elsewhere unless your fifty rich I suppose. Not to mention they are typical pushy salespeople. Buyer beware!!!

Stay away from this company! We paid for every window and door in our home to be replaced. They messed up our order after waiting for months. We had screens rip in the first month and they only replaced one. They stopped taking our calls. We still have ripped screens. A crooked AF NOT LINING UP expensive glass back door. The doors were never sealed properly so guess who gets a ton of brown recluses from under the door. Me!I literally have 2 children that play on the floor. Our doors don't even fully shut. For the price we paid, the doors should SHUT and lock just fine. But they wouldn't know that since they don't take our calls and return them. They got their money and ran.

Took 8months to get the windows and had numerous issues with locking and insulation. They sent out a service guy Martin who was rude and basically told me I don't install windows so my opinion is worthless. Ive never had a service person be so loud and unprofessional. I reached out to the office to follow up and they said my ticket was closed. I can't believe I got convinced into spending this kind of money for such a poor experience. Get some employees that care if you want to charge 2x the competition. I had Marvin windows put in my family room a year ago with no issues. They pre-finished the trim for those, Andersen sent out a painter to do it onsite. Just another 2 week wait with no blinds until he arrives. I would not recommend. Based on my experience with Marvin I believe this company does not deliver on their promises. My entire home remodel has been prolonged 6 MONTHS waiting for Andersen. The kitchen was to be finished and we are just resuming work now. Buyer be aware

I used Renewal by Andersen to replace 21 windows in my home. They left trash around my house after the installation. The wood trim was terrible. The trim is crooked, bowed, rough, and they left marks on it. When I complained, I was offered $300 as compensation... <1% of the total cost. I was shown casement windows that were easy to clean and mine don't work like the ones I was shown. Now after the rain recently, water flooded into my basement through the 9 month old windows. I will be paying these windows off for the next 10 years.

My experience with Renewal by Anderson was NOT good. I believe in their quality windows but it was more the scheduling that was poor and the prices of the windows are extravagantly high. I understand the quality but it’s too much! Financing helps but it’s like paying for a full blown kitchen on a set of windows. All in it’s not their quality of product but more their high prices and their practice of getting into your home to pitch you. Ty

I have never done business with Anderson Windows, however, I receive spam email advertising from them several times a week. I have reported them to our internet provider as well as the federal spam reporting page and still receive spam. They are relentless.

I was trying to make an appointment for an estimate and the lady put me on hold 3 times, then went on to say I probably couldn't afford the windows. I told her good by.
