This company is complete trash!!! I get a call from Budget not even a day and a half before we're supposed to move from Minnesota to Wisconsin to tell me that the truck I reserved 2 weeks prior isn't available!! What?!? I asked the guy who called me to help me find another truck and he told me to call customer service. Really?! I called customer service and they said all they could do is make a request to the Inventory Manager. Seriously?! The inventory manager named Sergio was beyond unprofessional and insulting and when I asked for his employee number he canceled my reservation without my authorization and pretty much told me to go figure it out. Called numerous times before being connected to a supervisor who justified the actions of the inventory manager!!! Not one person I spoke to even tried to help me with the issue. I was forced to stop working for the day just so I could find another truck rental that cost me a lot more because of last-minute reservations. Disgusting people that work for Budget. Disgusting customer service!!! Disgusting company!!!

My husband and I used Budget Truck Rental 6 years ago from a from a franchise out of Albuquerque, New Mexico to move up to Montana. Firstly, the truck that I reserved was not ready when I arrived because the size truck that I was to rent wasn’t available even though I made a reservation days in advance. Being it was the 16th of December, Budget rented out all the ones of that size out to UPS deliveries and all that was left was a smaller truck, even thought I rented a price for a larger one. I was pretty desperate and they knew it and so I had no choice. The truck was so small that the movers had to overpack it and it was more weight than was safe to use, being that it was a high profile vehicle with tiny tires which made it very unstable in high wind conditions. Plus it was so overpacked that the mudflaps dragged on the highway for the entire 1000 mile trip! Secondly, since it was winter I had to drive through slushy snowy areas and when I had to use the wipers and windshield washers it had no liquid only to find that out after driving through winding mountain passes and salt, slush and mud made the windshield almost unseeable. I’m surprised I got down that mountain in one piece without wrecking the truck. When I pulled into a truck stop and bought some washer fluid I went to use the windshield washer, only to find out that the pump to the washer was inoperative. This is a safety hazard!! They should check all things are in good operating order before renting out a vehicle!! When at my arrival to Montana the other Budget franchise where I returned it made absolutely no adjustments for giving a smaller truck than what I paid for. Stay away from Budget! $1000+ totally down the drain. Never again!

If I could give a company NEGATIVE stars, I would. We reserved two vehicles to move from one location to a house approximately an hour away. The vehicles each had a specific purpose. When the day came to move, they did not have one of the vehicles, a van, available, and instead tried to offer a 12 ft truck. That did not work for us, because we needed a van to safely carry specific cargo. Due to this issue, we suffered significant loss during our move. ALSO, the charges made to our credit card, were fraudulent, and supposed deposits were not returned as per their policy. It took multiple complaints and a complaint to the BBB to get the charges reversed. I will NEVER use this company again for ANY reason, and I recommend no one else use them either.

I had a horrible experience with Budget. They confirmed my reservation for a moving truck, and the day of the move they told me there was nothing available. They said that they do not guarantee any truck rentals. Ridiculous.
