Port City Movers Frequently Asked Questions
What types of moves do you handle?
Local, long distance, storage in transit, labor only, packing, and white glove delivery.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are fully licensed with the NCUC and insured.
What happens if my belongings are damaged?
In the event of damage, our claims department would work with you to come up with the best solution.
Is a deposit required?
No, we currently do not require a deposit to book your move
Do you charge a flat or hourly rate?
The type of estimate is based on the distance associated with your move
Can I arrange a move without me being there?
We require at least someone, 18 years or older, to be present throughout the entirety of the move to sign the paperwork and present payment.
What does Port City Movers not move?
Liquids, chemicals, flammables, animals, people, plants or other hazardous materials
What happens if I need to reschedule?
We will work with you to coordinate a new date as long as it is available. We do require at least a 48 hour notice for rescheduling.

David and his team were wonderful, from start to finish! Great communication throughout, on time for packing / loading and delivery. (They were actually at the new house before we got there). We have used several previous moving companies in the past. Post City movers were the best by far! We would highly recommend using Port City Movers to anyone.

The ENTIRE process was easy peasy and staff was extremely helpful and friendly . This was my first experience with a pod storage and moving service , and they made it easy. And affordable. “Josh” was our pod delivery driver…he was awesome . The pod itself was EXTREMELY clean ! All in all….a VERY pleasant experience. And….will use them again. And Again.

I have moved two more times since hiring Port City movers. They were recommended by my former realtor. I highly recommend Port City movers because they did an excellent job protecting and moving contents from one residence to the next. Friendly and conscientious about possessions, asking questions on placement of items, assembling items, and overall interested in performing a job that would result in further results in promoting their performance. I definitely would engage their business and service again.
