American Van Lines is a busy popular firm, and for very good reason! Their driver and crew was supremely professional and courteous in our moving activities. My wife is a paralyzed veteran who was helped in every imaginable way all morning long! Dennis, our driver, took great pride in his inventory accuracy and offering assistance in our last minute boxing of valuables. It took some extra calls to get our schedule to mesh with their workload, but it was totally worth it. We were originally planning to move with PODS because some of the other full-service movers we looked at were either too expensive or had poor reviews. That plan fell through when PODS would only deliver within 10 miles of our new home. I then did a more thorough search for some of America’s highest-rated movers, and American Van Lines was on the shortlist. From my first contact with them, the process was simple, straightforward, and professional. Even better, their quote came in lower than the cost of the three PODS containers we had planned to use. Francisco and his partner, who handled our move, were outstanding. They were professional, efficient, and made the entire move go smoothly. My wife and I now look at the PODS setback as a blessing in disguise, because with all the stress that comes with moving, we really did not need the added work of loading and unloading containers ourselves. American Van Lines gets my vote for anyone looking for a great moving company with an excellent team to support them through the process.

They day of delivery the office was very aggressive about getting paid before unloading the truck. This was a corporate move and the office was not available at 8:00am to process payment to American van lines. I was repeatedly harassed by the American van lines agent for payment. This could have been handled better by forwarding the invoice to the company the day before the delivery. The threats of charging to hold my cargo was ridiculous. I cannot recommend American Van Lines at this time.

Tyrell and Robert with Zip Movers were excellent at handling the physical move at both ends. There were some response and explanations lacking from the coordinator. Otherwise everyone was good to deal with. The cost was firm and comparatively reasonable.
