First United

This was my first experience buying a home and didn't know what to expect. I was originally told I qualified for the down payment assistance, but a couple weeks before closing that changed, leaving me to sell off belongings come up with the down payment. I was told the "automated underwriting system" no longer liked my file so I didn't meet the DPA requirements. Other than that frustrating aspect of the process, I did like First United overall. They were easy to get a hold of via phone and email. Frequent communication and status updates. Great interest rates. Easy online payments.
