Although TSYS has extensive information regarding the services the company offers, its website does not disclose pricing information because TSYS pricing plans vary based on your business. Customizable pricing can prove to be beneficial to merchants, however, this can make it difficult to compare TSYS pricing to other merchant account providers' pricing. If a merchant wants specific pricing information, TSYS does have a brief form to fill out online and a representative will then contact you shortly after with a free quote.

Termination Fee

TSYS charges a $250 early contract termination fee for merchants with less than twelve months left in their contract. If the merchant terminates their account with more than twelve months left in their contract, the fee is raised to $500. However, merchant account providers often waive termination fees depending on the circumstance, so this might be something you can negotiate with TSYS.

The Bottom Line

TSYS Merchant Solutions is one of the largest payment processors in the industry, and it has made a name for itself with over 50 awards. This says quite a bit about its integrity and its entire business model overall. These things are especially important when you are talking about the company you have chosen to handle your money for your business. However, TSYS does have a cancellation fee, which could lock merchants into its services until the contract ends. Horrible customer service, they are rude and not concerned with solving the problem that they were illegally charging our customers for a business that shut down 5 months ago. Being the business owner you'd think I would over ride the "partner company" mindbody for a request to cancel the account since the business has been closed for 5 months now and TSYS is still running customers auto pays. They tell you you have to go through mindbody which, I did 5 months ago, ahead of said closure and they didn't get it canceled, call 6,7,8 times over the next few months to be told it would be canceled. Was not canceled. FINNALY took matters into my own hand and called the merchant group myself to get it taken care of and the manager tells me she has a migraine and there's nothing she can do about it. I ask for her manager and she tells me they aren't there, I ask for that managers name and contact information and was told she can't give it to me because its illegal??? WTF! are you kidding me?? so I ask, then who is going to fix this problem if mindbody isn't doing it and TSYS isn't doing it and its been 5 months of illegal charging no one seems to be able to do anything? SAVE yourself the legal stress and go with anyone else besides this company. They don't mind putting you and your business in legal jeopardy and that's not the kind of company small businesses need on their team.

By far the worst payment processor BEWARE and STAY AWAY! Ive worked with a number of payment processors and take a very neutral approach when judging them. The morals and values of this company are beyond low. They are there for one reason and one reason only to take your money. They will hold money without you knowing it, add tons of hidden fees everywhere, hangup on you numerous times when you call and make it nearly impossible to get out of contracts. Save your self tens of hours and thousands of dollars and choose someone else... literally any other processor will be a better choice than this one

I have absolutely nothing positive to say about my business relationship with TSYS. There were many red flags about their merchant services based on my interactions with the account executive. He was not able to answer many questions and appeared to have a very vague idea of what he was marketing. After I examined my current service, I decided to give TSYS a try. Such a mistake...Their customer service is horrible (one of their customer service reps hung up on me during a phone call), I had to make multiple calls because something was always wrong with the device I was using and, worst of all, there are many hidden fees within the system of which I was never informed. I was given a monthly flat rate that would cover my services only to find extra charges in my bank account. I am in the process of severing my business relationship with TSYS and would never recommend this merchant service to anyone else.

This is the credit card processing company for Regions Bank. Your credit card processing department is horrible. First, you mailed my husband's credit card late. You mailed my husband's business credit card to the wrong address so he never received it. Fortunately, our bank was sympathetic and the card was canceled and another one was sent to us expedited, but the label had the wrong address AGAIN. It is a miracle that my husband received it at all and FedEx delivered it here. Then you printed his last name incorrectly and merged his middle initial with his incorrectly printed last name. Unbelievable!

They add services without authorization. It's up to you to check your statement every month, then call in each time to decline the services. They also fail to honor their contract which clearly states that they will waive the Early Termination Fee as long as you agree to contract them "prior to entering into an agreement with another processor." I did and they won't. Also rude SOBs. Avoid them like the plague.

Thought we were getting a bargain when we started with Transfirst, who now is TSYS. Low rates for start up or so we thought: 10.00 monthly fee, 20.00 minumun discount fee. We knew that our monthly would be a least 30.00 because we would have to have a lot of sales to reach the 20 minimum on discount as it was at .10 for each card presented. Then came the other fees which they added each month- and kept adding unless you caught them on each billing statement and disagreed or talked to them. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

They collected 9K and never deposited the money in my account. When I called and complained, they kept dragging the payment. It’s been 4 months so dar, and no payment. They are quick to collect, but don’t like to pay their dues. Sad. Look into your Bank, they now have the best rates. Stay away from TSYS.

Never followed through with the fees the promised, overcharged on everything, added extra unagreed on fees every single month. What should have been a $30 a month was over $75 a month. Paying the termination fee is worth not dealing with this company anymore
