I just started Medicare through UHC and I am already impressed with their services and especially their customer service dept. I have all my annual physical appts setup....medical, dental, eyecare & hearing appointments. Totally recommend them as of now and since I am on their Advantage plan, my costs are fairly limited with NO deductible and very low co-pays to specialists and for scripts.

Couldn't even talk to someone about a Medicare Supplement policy they sell through AARP. After navigating the automated phone system for 5 minutes, spent another 15 with a dim witted rep who forgot to save my information in her computer. She then proceeded to call me by the wrong name and and had me in the wrong state. At that point, I said "never mind" and hung up. Call USAA and had a great experience with friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful people - they will be getting my business.

I have my medicare supplement with Cigna and haven't had any problems. I switched from another company when my rates kept going up and they were much more reasonable. I've never had a problem with a claim.

You cant get a rep. on the phone who is in the USA; and no one can resolve any problems. They don't do what they say they will and their prescription coverage is pitiful. They are most definitely not worthy of being honest and helpful; and don't offer good coverage for the price we pay or is deducted from our SS monthly income. A real ripoff.
Cigna and UnitedHealthcare both offer fitness programs with their Medicare Advantage plans. With Cigna, you may also benefit from a team approach from pharmacists, case managers, primary care doctors, and specialists. Cigna offers a Special Needs Plan (SNP) for people with chronic medical conditions.
UnitedHealthcare's Medicare Advantage plans also include dental, hearing, and vision coverage and telehealth access. UnitedHealthcare offers a Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) for people who qualify for both Medicaid and Medicare.
Both companies offer limited general information about its Medicare supplement insurance and prescription drug plans. For more specifics on these plans, you'll want to work with each company directly.
While information is limited, Cigna offers several prescription drug plans with different cost-sharing structures. This selection makes it easier to find a plan that suits your needs. UnitedHealthcare's prescription drug plans include a mail order pharmacy, which means you can have your medications delivered to your door without having to leave your home.
To make the best choice between Cigna and UnitedHealthcare Medicare, you'll need to compare offerings from each company in your area to figure out which plans are the best fit.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
