In my opinion, your customer service is terrible. I placed an order for the medical guardian on Oct.8 in the evening and cancelled it on Oct.9 in the morning. It was impossible to get to talk to anyone at customer service, so I had to call the number to place an order to get someone to talk to. When I told the person I wanted to cancel, I was transferred to another department, waited on hold to speak to someone and got transferred again, waited again. After three transfers I finally got to talk to someone in Customer Relations who was very nice. He cancelled my order and said that I would receive a refund on my visa and that the order had not even been processed yes. Then later in the day I received an email saying that my order has been shipped via FedEx. I will not accept the shipment. I would not even consider recommending your product to anyone because of your very poor customer service.

Decent experience with this company, however after my initial call to them, I gave my phone number but I asked not to be called, as our need was not immediate. Nonetheless I received 2-3 unwanted calls from the salesman. If I lived where my elderly relative lived and could have searched out other companies more easily, I would have. Yes, when a prospect says "Don't call me." we mean it. You salesmen need to learn that.

i purchased this system for my 88 year old mother with the assurance it would work properly in her home. Once we tried to activate it, I was told it would not work in her area. Then someone called to follow up and tried to sell me a lesser unit that would work on the data system of AT&T and that if mom carried the base with her to the basement it would work for her. Are you kidding me?????? Then I was told I had to have it back within the ten day period to avoid being charged for 3 months. Well rest assured, it went back within the hour following that call. I was told the refund would be processed within 30 days of the return arriving to your facility. That's nice, so we get to either pay the credit card bill in full to avoid interest charges or just get screwed on that too. This was a pitiful experience, using your system after the original sell job I was given is akin to using a gun that "might" work when you need it. Feel free to call me if you would like more of my opinion, others Will hear it.....

Sales person was nice and very helpful. However, The unit arrived Friday, it was programmed with the wrong person and address. it took us 4 hours with customer service and call backs to get it set up correctly. Got up Saturday morning and tested unit, wouldn't make a call. More hours with customer service. Apparently the unit was not accepting charge. They were going to send us a new unit out. It is now Monday and we still don't have a working unit. I paid for a full year and still don't have a working unit and they are offering a $15 credit for my trouble?! Good thing my mother didn't need to actually use the unit or service. Not to mention that she will probably not use the unit because of her frustration on Friday night (we didn't even tell her about the problems Saturday).

The young man I initially contacted was polite. There were problems with his computer network so the process took time, and he had to re-enter the info so I had to repeat everything. After the unit arrived, there were technical issues and we ended up having to get the cellular unit. The first operator was somewhat condescending; however, when I called back the next two operators were very patient and courteous. The second unit is now activated, but I did email with assistance regarding the lock box. I cannot get it to open. Hopefully, someone will get back to me soon.

Well, it's hard to rate a service that doesn't show up. I purchased the Premium service on Tuesday 7/28, paid for a year in advance, and paid for the expediated delivery, expecting the device to arrive by Friday. I checked the FedEx tracking at 4:30pm only to learn that Guardian CANCELED the shipment at 3pm. I called to find out why. After talking to the phone operator and his supervisor, there was no answer why it was canceled. I was told it will arrive on Tuesday.. a full week later.. and after I leave on a business trip for which I wanted the service in the first place. And, while this message asking me to rate your service came on Wednesday, apparently well before the device failed to be shipped, I got NO courtesy notice from Guardian that there was any shipping issue. I found that out from Fed-Ex. Now, mind you, my credit card was charged just the same. $549.00 If this is how the service starts, I am not confident that the service will be satisfactory. NOT HAPPY and now also stressed as I bought the service for my 85 year old mother, to give us both peace of mind while I have to be out of town. Guardian can say it's sorry all it wants. Again.. not happy with Guardian and I will share this with Facebook and Twitter.

The biggest issue is that I never received the device and was never told there was an issue. There was an issue with payment and I did not get a notification telling me this. I went on vacation and did not have time to check or call and when I did 2 weeks had gone by. I paid for expidited shipping which in the end was pointless as I was never notified of the billing issue. I only found out when I called in to get status Bruce

When I first chatted with a rep online, he told me that it was required to come up with the quarterly premium upfront because they were giving me $400 of equipment. When I told him there was no way I had that upfront, he offered to set me up on monthly plan. When I called back to order, he told me there was a shipping fee. I told him no, I would just order online where shipping was free. (I also knew that online I could order with just the monthly plan). When I told him I would just order it online to get free shipping, that i had only called him back to give him a chance at commission if he got any, he agreed to not charge me for shipping. However, having had two lies told to me, I almost didn't deal with your company thinking it was disreputable. Only the good reviews I had seen prompted me to continue with my order. If I had not checked out the ordering process online, I feel this rep would have taken advantage of me.

July 15, 2015 I am rating this a 3 for the time being my experience in purchasing the unit was a experience here I had went on the web site looking for a medical alert for my father and I wanted the best. well Guardian caught my eye so I decided to look into it. Well come to find out I could not go any further without entering my information. Which meant phone number and name and with in seconds I have not been able to complete my research when I received a phone call. I did comment on it and than I wanted to hear more thinking ok I will listen I went to them, after his sales talk and telling me all these things I was going to get for free and he was going to send it out Fed-X and now he was ready for payment and to guarantee the order I had to pay 3 months in advance which I did and I need to sign the gurantee contract that I will receive with the package in telling me that I will have a gurantee price of 39.95 for life if I sign the life time contract. When I email George he will answer quickly. Ok now its the 15th have not gotten any thing and no money out of my account and not to mention they will be taking out money every month for payment and also is it a one time payment or is it every 3 months. So there for I am not very happy for the time being. May change after I receive the product. And also every web site on my desk top even my home page and email I have advertisement for guardian why?

Device was promised to arrive on Monday. When not delivered by 4:00pm on Tuesday, I called. The CSR I spoke to rather curtly informed me I had ordered standard ground shipping, when I explained this was not the case she got snippy and dismissive but promised to overnight another device. The second device arrived on time, was installed and activated easily.

I wanted to order something for my mom in case she fell, I live 2 states away from her and needed some peace of mind that she would taken care of if she fell. It took forever for her to get the unit and 2 days after she got it she went into the hospital and didn't make it back out. After taking care of all of her affairs I sent the unit back and called the company hoping they would have some compassion and refund my money since she never even got to open the unit. Not only did they refuse to refund any of my money they told me it takes 30 days to cancel the service so I very well could be charged for another 3 months and will have to wait to get a refund for the charge. They didn't give one rip that my mom is gone, the only thing they were concerned about was that they got their money. I will never contact this company again nor will I recommend it, as a matter of fact I will discourage anyone from purchasing the service.

We place a order on Wednesday evening of last week to be overnighted to grandma's house on Thursday. We wanted the system to be setup before we left the state. Thursday And Friday came and left and we did not receive the package. On Friday evening I called and spoke to customer service. I explained the situation and they aplogized and informed me that due to the storm the prior week the product was on back order, but they would ship it on Monday for Tuesday delivery at no cost to us. Tuesday and Wednesday came and left and we still have the received the system. Today, my husband spoke to another individual At medical guardian and explained the situation, and they said they would look into it and give us a call within 20 minutes. It is now 10:30 in the evening and the gentlemen never called back. Tomorrow morning my husband will be calling to cancel the order. It is ashame because medical guardian sounded like they had a really good product. Unfortunately due to poor customer service and lack of urgency on their part we will never know.

I have not received the unit I was charged $329.45 on my credit card 3 Mar 2015 for. I have attempted to cancel the order all day 3/12/15. Michael Holt has stated he has not been able to reach his manager concerning this and indicated he would get it straightened out before he left work today. It is now 7:51 PM Ga time and he is not available. I can believe he has not been able to contact his manager because I have tried 4 time s today to reach someone on 1 8003131191 and only one time I was successful to speak to some one and the Lady told me she would transfer me to some one else but instead she just hung upon me. TWO TIMES I just got tired of the voice mail after 10 to 15 minutes listening to the recording all was busy and would get to as soon as possible. ONE TIME I stayed on line till I guess the recording was programmed to just hang up. By noon tomorrow I will go to my card services and ask they take action to reverse the charges. I will also write the BBB concerning type of services given by the medical Guardian.

While it was easy to order there was a delay in shipment. Now I'm not sure who will be able to install the system for my mom, the person who this was intended for. There was almost a week of lag time before the unit was shipped. I was there during the weekend and now I have to see who is in the area as my mother is 350 miles away.

Off to a bad start by getting my confirmation and 15 minutes later calling to CHANGE the delivery ADDRESS!! I told the service rep. that my address, she said she would make the correction. I asked for another confirmation to see the correct change of address. (This did not happen!) The very next morning 8-9 hrs.later I called the service # back to see if the address was corrected and this service rep. also took the new Change of Address (before it was shipped). 2 days later I get an E-mail stating the equipment has been shipped to the address that wasn't corrected and probably still isn't . My confidence in your business is questionable that if I plan to use your service in an EMERGENCY the rescue team will NOT FIND ME!! Well, right now I am TRACKING DOWN my DELIVERY with UPS to get the right address on my equipment and to receive it! I NEED a confirmation showing you have the CORRECT ADDRESS for me. I know I can be somewhat dyslexic at times and I'm sure that I'm NOT the only one but Do I have to go to this much effort just because I hit the #9 key instead of the #0 next to it???? ------- Phyllis McAuliffe--------

I'm Teresa Ellingsworth and I'm writing this review for my mom, Mary Pistolese, because she doesn't have a computer and doesn't know how to use one. My mom is very upset because she believes she received the wrong device. She wanted the Mobile Alert device that goes anywhere with you. Instead she thinks she received the Cellular In-Home device. She is thinking of canceling your service and going with another company. I've been encouraging her to call you and straighten out the misunderstanding. Maybe someone can call her to help resolve the problem. I would have peace of mind if she would get a device activated and use it.

I was online comparing companies when a sales rep from this company called me. I felt the sales rep was pushy, condescending and did not clearly answer all my questions. Mostly, he definitely did not explain the minimum 3 month service agreement. I would have remembered this because I was not sure if I would need the service and wanted to just trial the service. I had a feeling to say thank you and hang up. I should have trusted my instincts but I wanted to cross it off my "to do" list. When the equipment arrived it did not come with the bracelet and the pendant was much larger than described. I did not use the equipment (I didn't even take most of it out of the box) and called to cancel the service. I was informed it was their policy to not refund any money for the first 3 months. I had paid for the first 3 months which was over $100.00. I could not believe they would not refund my money! The advertisement of $0 up front and no contract is misleading and a downright lie. At least for the first 3 months. I will be sending this equipment back and will be out the money. I would not recommend this company. I told them I would not recommend them to any of my hospice patients or to anyone else, but they really don't care as long as they get their money. To not provide refunds is a poor business policy and only makes for extremely unhappy costumers. Please save yourself some aggravation and use a different company. I regret dealing with this company and hope I can save you from making the mistake of utilizing the services of this company.

This is a company you do not want to do business with. I ordered the mobile unit...I was about 2 miles from my house when I pushed the button. It took them 5 minutes to answer. They told me I was at my house. Told them I was 2 miles from my house. Called them when I finally got home and told them the unit does not work and they needed to send me a prepaid label to send the unit back. They told me they don't do that. Told them I would put a stop payment on future orders and then trash the unit since they do not care about the unit or the customer. Left it at that....Again you do not want to do business with this company.

My daughter had to help set medical alert for me. I am all thumbs when it comes to anything mechanical. Once set up, it seems to work great. Haven't fallen and don't want to. The reckless can get wrapped around neck, so be careful at night.
