people please listen, this product is downright dangerous I had to replace this product 3 times,and has the lowest overall score for reliability . I was told today that if I live in a concrete blgd. that the signal may be blocked if I pushed the button. people buy this made in china product only to find it does not work. we elderly pay good money for security only to find out that we have been fooled by high priced advertising.. in short people are dying because of this product. Shame on you great call

I pay for a phone for my mother. I only use this service for the large buttons, no data and no contract. Social norms state that you do not give your information over the phone; we tell the elderly this constantly. Then tell me why in the HELL can Great Call not get into the 21st century for people to input payment into ONLINE????????????? I hate this service and the phones are absolute CRAP!!!!!!! I HATE, HATE, HATE this company.

Had a problem when I bought the first Unit they came out with, battery charger quit charging after approx. 1 yr. They said new charger cannot be inserted, that I would have to buy a whole new Unit. So I did. Same thing happened, what a rip off. Price also was raised from $13.99 to $19.99 a month with no notice plus with tax etc total was $22.99. I finally just canceled my service, CS people were not very accommodating to me at all.

I have had this service for four months. Three times I have had problems with the device or the charger not working. When the device breaks or does not work, it takes at least 7 working days to receive replacement. I have had issues at least once a month with the device not working. Even though you are without service for days and days, you are billed the entire amount. I am now looking for another service provider. This company is no way to feel secure if you need help when it is broken half the time.

Great Call Lively emergency button is awful. Failed after one month. Company promised to send a replacement right out. After five days the replacement button still hasn't shipped. Customer Service is even worse than the products. Twenty minute hold times is the norm for GreatCall. Just tried to call and got a recording telling me they have a high call volume and and can't take my call, call back later. Dont make the mistake I did, STAY AWAY from GreatCall!!

First TWO units received both failed within 2 days. EXTREMELY SLOW customer service on replacement of the failed unit. Their telephone support will leave you on hold for exteme lengths of time prior to speaking to a rep. The replacement shipping was extremely slow and longer than is acceptable for an emergency product such as this. Expedited shipping was not available. We had the service for 30 days and only had a working unit for about 4 days. HORRIBLE.. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE.

My husband is unable to use this phone with all its features. He can do the basics.....call and answer the phone. It is impossible to contact Great Call to increase minutes. The 1-800 number never has a live person that can answer questions. Wondering why they even have the number. Website is no better. Unable to order more minutes for him. It is worthless for an 88 year old man. All he needs is a basic phone which doesn't cost nearly as much.

Almost impossible to get through to Customer Service. Several of there listed phone numbers from their website have been disconnected. NOt all phone integrate with hands free calling features in your vehicle. These deficiencies render their services as virtually worthless.

BEWARE!! Terrible customer service when you finally can get through to someone. Sent faulty device, spent over 2.5 hrs on phone with several reps, was told I would receive new unit within 3 days...to date NO NEW UNIT. Am about to file fraud claim with my credit card co. And customer service reps couldn't care less.. my suggestion - .find a different company to deal with..

Product arrived in August and within a couple of weeks the charging base stopped working. Received a new charging base and then the actual device stopped working. Waited another 2 weeks for a replacement unit only to have it stop working again about a month later. Medical alert device was NOT working more than it was working. Sending back equipment and getting a full refund. I do not recommend this product.

Device broke after four days. We received a replacement, but didn't like the way the event was handled and we also found out service was not as initially explained. We wanted to return the unopened, unused device for a refund but they were rigid in not allowing that to happen since the faulty device was purchased more than 30 days ago. That may be true but it was only used for four because it broke. The lack of reasonable customer service was shocking. They would have lost NOTHING by taking back the brand new device and refunding the $40! Especially for seniors living on a fixed budget.

When I first signed up I had to get 3 different phones before I could get one that worked. In signing up I was told my charges would be $38.00 per month. It turns out the charges are over $50.00 per month. I should have known better than to sign up but i thought I needed to be covered as I have had a stroke. Even now the phone sometimes turns itself and I don't know I am without coverage.

I purchased a GreatCall device for my mother. Today I downloaded the GreatLink app and discovered that she hasn't moved in over a week, that the device is off, and it advised that I make sure to turn it on. When I called my mother, she claims she dropped the device in the toilet last year and so has not been using it. I am the subscriber, I have been paying GreatCall/5Star every month...why was I not called, as the first emergency contact, that her device was not working? What if she fell down? Would I not be called then, too??? Absolutely horrible.

I was thinking of getting a Jitterbug phone with the great call feature, until after reading all of the complaints of customers experiences of faults they faced with GREAT CALL, I have second thoughts about it for myself. It had better get acts together and clean up before I invest my money.

I purchased a Lively product on 8/1 and after returning 2 chargers and 3 units I cancelled all services as they did not work. Longest service was 4 days. Returned all on 9/15 for charges of $64.50, 2 months of billing for no service, $23.95 for overnight return of 1 unit and $6.87 m ore for postage, I have asked that my credit card be reimbursed but it has not happened. Please do not ever get involved with this deplorable company

Your company and personal act like they know nothing . this will be the third month in a row that I have not received a bill Then you threaten to stop my service. On top of that, my phone will not hold a charge . It is not the charger because I have used other chargers and they don;t charge either. I have called and complained no response. They say that it will be taken care of yea right. I will change companies as soon as this is resolved. Terrible

THE PEOPLE ARE NICE UNTIL YOU GET FINISHED SETTING UP AND PAYING THE OVER $100 TO SET IT UP AND AUTO PAY FROM YOUR BANK THEN THEY ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL if you have any issues or your love one passes away and they still charge you for service that is no longer needed!!!!!!

I bought this device for my father who is 83 and falls frequently. I have spent hours on the phone with Great Call customer and technical support. I could never get the service to work on my android phone and Great Call wanted to send a 2nd replacement device. Obviously their software is not up to acceptable standards. I would NOT recommend this medical alert device for your family member. VERY disappointed!!

I called Great Call to say that me Splash was not charging. First of the woman treated me like an idiot. When she finally admitted that I had a problem, she said she would send a new one, but it would take 3 to 7 days. That was unacceptable. A charge lasts four days and it had been two since I charged my Splash. They should have been willing to overnight a new charger. I will be looking for another company

My Jitterbug Smart 2 Phone doesn’t work! All it says is, “Error 2” after having had went through the Setup as Great Call says within the Guide Booklet and it’s Very Expensive! Another $50 on top of my T-Mobile! Can I send it back Factory Reset for Refund, because I am not satisfied?

Horrible company don't buy any of their products. Bought a device that wouldn't hold a charge and they had no replacement for it. Told them to cancel the account and they charged me for 8 months, then closed the account. Threatened to send it to collections for no services used. Horrible customer service, scammers trying to make a quick dollar.

great call is the worst customer service out fit and their employees are poorly poorly trained and ignorant. it takes hours and days on the phone trying to get a problem fixed and you never get the same answer and they charge you for the poor customer service AND their phones are junk!!!!!!

The brand new equipment would not hold a charge and they could not figure out why. Never offers to send us another one to replace it even though it was under warranty. They had just auto payed the day before and would not refund our money. All the other servers refund unused time.

They refuse to be transparent about charges, or give an itemized statement of charges. Awful service, awful business mode, just plain seems dishonest. Feels like dealing with someone trying to scam you. No explanation of what they charged you for, just demands to pay out of the blue. I think this company is cheating people.

When I first had Great Call it was GREAT. It could tack me everywhere I went. A great comfort for me. As time went on it could no longer track me??? I called service they even sent me a new one. They could no longer track me. THUS i HAD TO QUIT,

I cancelled this account December 28th. Not only have you not issued a refund (minus $10 "stocking fee"), another $30.61 was charged December 31, 2018. If I do not see this reversed by January18, 2019, I will file action. Now I know why I felt uneasy about this company. You are predatory.

Tried to make a change to my plan, as a 90 year old they talked fast, always used the word security and would not allow me to make changes to my account, they are not friendly to Seniors and should not be used, I wish I could cancel but they won't let me.

We do this by asking for your account password, a security question, your billing address, and/or your phone number. As far as the cancellation process, we do not have any contracts and you may cancel service at any time by calling our Customer Service department at 1-800-733-6632 between 5am and 8pm Pacific time, 7 days a week.

Be careful when you cancel, as they won't credit you for any unused balance, unless you're dead. TheJitterbug phone is more difficult to use than a cell phone from one of the larger carriers.

My mom moved into assisted living which provides a medic alert. She had great call service for one month and one day! Cannot return the device and wanted to bill her - when it says one month free. Another scam to rip off the elderly! Avoid!
