The Best Egg personal loan Interest rate (for credit card debt consolidation purposes) was the lowest rate I found, and the entire application process was completed quickly online. There were a few hiccups - at one point the system tried to verify my bank info by sending a text to the phone number in my bank records, but that number was a landline that could not receive texts, and there was no way to go back and suggest a different authorization method such as e-mail. But even with the hiccups the loan proceeds were deposited into my account within three days. I am a little unhappy that loan payments are handled as automatic withdrawals and there doesn't seem to be an option for the customer to control the timing of their payments ( via automatic bill payment, or simply sending checks), although the loan agreement indicates customers may do so but will be charged a fee. Still, a very convenient process and loan set-up.
