Tried to apply for a loan to consolidate debt and was told on the phone to use my income pre-taxes. I got approved for everything, submitted evidence and documentation, only to then be denied because the customer service rep lied to me. They approve based on taxable income. So now I've wasted a bunch of time on this application and have nothing to show for it. I wouldn't have applied if the customer service rep had answered my questions truthfully at the beginning. (I specifically asked).

I applied for a loan on 12/22/22. I was approved that day and the loan was supposed to be funded in the next 1-3 business days. I contacted someone on 12/28/22 when I had not received my funds. The rep was really helpful and said there was a technical issue holding things up and assured me it was taken care of. I was told 1-2 business days. I had bills due so initiates the payments since I had assurances that the loan was to be funded on time. Nope! Now payments are bouncing and I’m in a bind. Bestegg has been excellent in the past but they’ve really dropped the ball on this one. I put my trust in them and it’s cost me a ton in returned payment fees and a hit to my credit for a late payment. Sure, ultimately it’s on me for counting on money I didn’t have yet but I was in between a rock and a hard place and was assured that I was good to go.

An error in banking information has deposited my loan into an account that doesn’t belong to me. The Best Egg bank verification did not catch the error. When I called to speak with customer service, I was told that Best Egg will not contact the bank. They made it my responsibility to deal with the bank and request funds be returned even though I don’t know where the money was deposited. I am not a lending institution and my name is not on the account where the funds were deposited. Seems like the “verification” process should be more thorough. I’ve received a bill for funds that were never deposited in my account.

You guys are nuts! My credit score for transunion is 800, for equifax is 804 and my fico score is 785 and you said experian is 767. All of these scores are considered very good to excellent. All of my credit card accounts HAVE! been paid as agreed and I have a $0 credit card balance! My newest credit card is more than 4 years old and some are as old as 11 years! The only thing correct in your letter of rejection is "lack of installment information". Can't you see that that is what I am trying to do. Best Egg is the type of company that tries to keep people down in order to keep the rich rich and the poor poor! Go ahead and try to dominate the middle class. Have a merry christmas. I'm sure it will be nicer than my family's! Don't worry about me bothering you again because I will be too busy looking for an honest, reputable lender and badmouthing the Best Egg company to anyone who will listen. Thank You for NOTHING! K.S. When a person has a good credit score you loan them money. Even with a good standing best egg loan that's not good enough to consolidate and borrow again with Best Egg because my score changed. Stop asking to check for offers that its clearly obvious I don't qualify for. Why even ask? I had a good vibe at first when I originally took out a loan but quickly realized its credit score first, not on time payments and good standing, credit score first. When I pay this loan off eventually I will make sure and never borrow from Best Egg again. If you want to help others including myself, stop using practices like Synchrony where your credit line is reduced or cut off because of your score even for on time and payoffs.
