The process was easy enough and the money showed up without much delay. The issue is the high APR which I will add is lower than some credit card companies but it’s far to high at 18% with my credit score I shouldn’t be over 10% thus I most likely wouldn’t take another loan from them.

The first loan I got from them was great, good people and they helped me get it done. Now, however, they keep saying I am preapproved for another loan and to click on their link to check my rate, and it just keeps showing the original loan. I have contacted them about this but still not fixed. I finally told them to just stop sending me any more preapprovals since they apparently do not work.

I attempted to use Best Egg twice. The first time I was told it was unsuccessful due to insufficient funds. I was skeptical to give it another try but didn’t have a choice financially so I decided to call and talk to their customer service to make sure I had everything set up correctly before I attempted it a second time. When I called, the agent I spoke to was very kind and went through my account and payment info with me to verify everything. She assured me that there should not be any issues this next time. I even offered to try to make the first payment upfront a couple days early on the phone and she said they won’t allow it. Then the first came around and nothing. I continued to monitor my account to watch for Best Egg to pull the funds out. It never did. Then the morning of the 6th (my rent is due in full by the 4th) I received notification that they were unable to pull the funds from my account. I called to speak with customer service again. The agent I spoke with told me that the reason it failed this time AND last time was because they were unable to locate my account. I asked if I could speak with a manager or supervisor. Agent said they do not have one at this time. At that point, I reiterated that I did in fact call and talk to them on April 28th, at which point I spoke with one of their agents and that there should be notes in their system that reflects that. The agent confirmed. I asked him “why would you guys be unable to locate my account for payment and NOT say that to me when l called to verify all of my information? Why wasn’t I told that my payment failed due to them being unable to locate my account the first time around? Furthermore, why would it still fail for that reason after I re-verified all of my information? The agent could not give me a solid answer. He kept trying to push the blame off onto my bank. Refusing to let me speak to a supervisor or manager. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY. It has cost me over $100 in late fees now due to their negligence. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
