Mutual of Omaha and Fidelity Life are financially strong companies that have stood the test of time. Both companies allow people to receive quotes and apply online, which is very convenient. The largest differences are that Fidelity Life offers final expense insurance and Mutual of Omaha offers universal life insurance and has a few options for whole life insurance.

Purchased a small policy for myself and my husband over 20 years ago, before I knew the difference between whole life and term. They have great customer service and I always get a reminder before each auto pay. Prices are very fair and competitive.

After 18 yrs they never notify until there is extra money needed. Based on time frame couldn't come up with funds. Applied for new policy and was denied

My husband and I both have fidelity life insurance and have had it for nearly a decade. It's affordable and we have not had any issues. We have an ACH come out every month for less than $50 for each policy and when we first got it my husband needed to get a blood test in order to get the coverage and they came right to our house, which was really convenient.

AWFUL customer service and company. They will lie and hide details in order to fraudulently charge you for policies you repeatedly request to cancel. The agent Anthony Andrews was also awful to work with too. Avoid this company at all costs.
Mutual of Omaha offers term, whole, and universal life insurance. It also has accidental death insurance policies. This robust offering makes it easy to find the product that best meets your needs.
Mutual of Omaha also offers flexibility when purchasing life insurance. You can purchase most policies online or work with an agent. In some cases, the options available when working with an agent are different than those available for online purchase. You must work with an agent to purchase universal life insurance policies.
While Mutual of Omaha does offer some riders with policies, it provides limited information on these online. In contrast, Fidelity Life offers more comprehensive information on riders available with each type of policy. One notable rider option is the inflation rider that maintains the purchasing power of the coverage you buy.
You can purchase term life insurance or whole life insurance for seniors from Fidelity Life. It also offers final expense insurance. You can also apply for life insurance policies from Fidelity Life's website.
It's hard to go wrong when choosing between these two companies. Both are reliable and have stood the test of time. Both allow you to apply for life insurance online. Mutual of Omaha has a few more policy options than Fidelity Life. However, Fidelity Life offers final expense insurance and offers an inflation rider. The choice really comes down to the kind of policy and what rider options you want.
