While both Fidelity Life and MetLife are reliable insurers, the one you choose to work with will depend on what kind of a consumer you are. Fidelity Life is best for people buying their own life insurance policies. MetLife is ideal for employers putting together an employee benefits package.

My husband and I both have fidelity life insurance and have had it for nearly a decade. It's affordable and we have not had any issues. We have an ACH come out every month for less than $50 for each policy and when we first got it my husband needed to get a blood test in order to get the coverage and they came right to our house, which was really convenient.

AWFUL customer service and company. They will lie and hide details in order to fraudulently charge you for policies you repeatedly request to cancel. The agent Anthony Andrews was also awful to work with too. Avoid this company at all costs.

What a scam MetLife is. I had a dental implant and they would not cover it because the extraction & graft performed previously was not done under this current plan. However, the previous plan was ALSO MetLife. Same policy type, different group - because of a job change. 4 years of premiums paid, $0 coverage on this legitimate, necessary procedure. And their customer "service" is anything but.
Fidelity Life has good options for people buying their own insurance, especially for seniors. It offers term and whole life insurance, as well as final expense insurance. If these policies meet your needs, Fidelity Life is worth investigating further.
Fidelity Life also offers valuable riders that can be added to its policies. These riders include a disability waiver of premium, accelerated death benefit, and an inflation rider that adjusts your policy's death benefit to maintain purchasing power.
MetLife does not offer life insurance options for individuals. Instead, it specializes in employer-sponsored plans. It offers term and universal life insurance options. With MetLife, employers can offer fully paid term life insurance or offer term life insurance as a voluntary benefit. With some policies, employees can even buy life insurance for their dependents.
If you're buying life insurance privately, we recommend working with Fidelity Life. If you're a business owner building a benefits package, we recommend working with MetLife.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
