Lennox Air Conditioner Prices

The average price for a Lennox AC installation can range from $3,110 to $7,340. The exact cost will depend on several factors, including:

  • Size of your home: For a 1,600 square foot home, a 2.5-ton unit is often recommended.
  • Specific Lennox model: Different models offer varying features and prices.
  • Labor costs: These can vary based on your location and the complexity of the installation.
  • Additional services: Factors like ductwork, permits, and electrical upgrades can influence the total cost.

To see maximum savings on your Lennox HVAC unit installation, it is advisable to compare at least 3 quotes from local installers.

Energy Efficient Systems

Lennox HVAC units often have high Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratios (SEER) from 14 SEER in the Merit series to 26 SEER in signature series. A higher SEER rating means the unit uses less energy to produce the same amount of cooling. Their variable-speed technology helps adjust the AC unit speed based on demand, helping to optimize energy consumption.

Lennox units are certified by ENERGY STAR. The company has taken steps to reduce its environmental footprint, such as implementing energy-efficient manufacturing practices and using eco-friendly materials.

Warranty Options

Lennox provides different warranties for each of its products, but potential customers can expect a warranty contract to range anywhere from 5 to 20 years warranties. These warranties also vary for components, compressors and heat exchangers based on the type of unit you purchase. Other warranty options include the Lennox Extended Limited Warranty and the Complete Care Plus Extended Warranty.

Online Tools

On its website, Lennox has tools that will help every potential customer measure the financial and environmental impact of its services. The Lennox Energy Savings Calculator lets customers see how much they could be saving in energy costs by using more efficient heating/cooling systems. The solar calculator shows potential customers how much money they can save and also the environmental impact of switching to solar. Lennox also provides customers with a Healthy Solutions Finder, which helps potential HVAC customers find the best system to their health situation.

Experience

With more than 120 years industry experience, Lennox has developed and maintained a good reputation. Customers can trust that Lennox will provide quality service and products.

Offers and Savings

Lennox provides its customers with more than basic warranties for financial incentives. There is also a section of its website dedicated to informing customers about special deals and offers. Customers who are seriously thinking about choosing Lennox as their HVAC provider should take a look at the various deals offered on its site. The company also has a page dedicated to its various sweepstakes and giveaways.

The Bad

  • Higher Upfront Cost
  • Limited Availability

Higher Upfront Cost

Lennox units often come with a higher price tag compared to some other brands. This can be a significant factor for budget-conscious consumers. However, the long-term cost savings from energy efficiency and reduced maintenance needs can offset the initial investment. Additionally, Lennox offers financing options to help spread out the cost over time.

While Lennox units are generally reliable, repairs can also be more expensive due to the brand's premium status and specialized components.

Limited Availability

Lennox may not be as widely available in all regions, especially in areas with less competition among HVAC manufacturers. This can make it more challenging to find authorized dealers or obtain specific models. Due to their popularity and demand, you might experience longer wait times for installation or repairs, especially during peak seasons.  Additionally, limited availability might lead to higher prices due to reduced competition.

The Bottom Line

Though Lennox doesn’t disclose information regarding financing and fees, it does everything it can to make up for the lack of financial information. The amount of savings tools—whether promotional, educational, or through sweepstakes—that Lennox provides more than makes up for its few flaws. Lennox helps customers by providing a variety of warranty options, online tools to determine savings, and by a strict dedication to energy efficiency. We recommend that potential customers consider choosing Lennox as their HVAC service provider.

Lennox is a great product and currently my AC unit. I have had this unit for a year and have NOT had any problems with it. It was installed quickly and is very quiet. My neighbors love me now that I replaced my old unit with a more quiet unit.

The screen on my thermostat died, so that makes the product look really poor. I hope it is covered by warranty
