This company sent out a poorly rated vendor to fix my AC unit. Less than 2 months later the AC started making a terrible noise. I called them hoping they could send someone out to look at it before we left to travel out of state for a few weeks. They said they would send a new vendor, by the time the vendor called to schedule the service they were not able to show up before we left for vacation. Now my AC has completely stopped working. I'm finding out that the original vendor is no longer being used. I did a quick search and found that the original vendor has a 2 star average with several 1 star reviews going back as far as 2011. This makes me question the vetting process they do before onboarding new vendors. Now I'm trying to get their new vendor (who has a 3 star average, which I guess is an improvement) to come back out. They tell me they can't come out because they cancelled the original work order after 30 days (it's currently about 45 days after my initial call). And the agent at Platinum tells me I would have to pay another $75 trip fee. So to summarize, after the work the first vendor with a long track record of poor reviews failed 2 months later they required that I pay another service fee for a new vendor to come out and look at it. By the time the new vendor called me back they didn't have availability to come out before I left for extended travel. I get back, my AC has now completely failed, and they're telling me I need to pay yet another service fee, despite the fact that the new vendor never made a trip to my home. This feels like less of a service and more of a scam. Would not recommend.

My plumping toilet was blooded emergency, I called local guys fixed and sen the bill for reimbursement , they refused bc I don’t have authorization before the toilet is fixed. If I wait for them approved my house must be flooded with nasty things everywhere (sorry to say it here). The second things they don’t cover for fixing AC if your AC not” properly regular maintaining”. We change filter every times. They have thousands of reasons not to pay out. They just want to get money from homeowner and come to fixing they will refuse.don’t ever buy home warranty they trick us . I ll report to BEst business bureau , you should do that so they can’t scam others

Our A/C started failing mid July in the middle of an excessive heat wave. Platinum's technician came out and diagnosed its issues and said it was covered. From that point they kept pushing fixing the issues off and demanding we have to pay multiple extra fees before they would do anything. Almost a month goes by of this (WITH FAILED A/C and a 1 year old at home!) and we receive a call at 8:45 am that a technician will be at our home between 8am and 12pm that same day to replace the parts and we needed to be home now. We left work immediately, when the tech arrived, he stated he did not have the parts for replacement, but he went straight to the air filter which was noted previously as being changed under a month ago and clean by the initial inspections. He stated it had to be changed every 3 weeks (which no one recommends) and it voids our warranty. IT GETS BETTER! he doesn't show us the 'dirty' air filter (probably because it was clean) and he confiscates it as we can't find it anywhere. Platinum then provided a picture of what appeared to be a different style air filter then what we had and with a background from a different location. Im assuming it was someone else's filter.

I only gave them 1* as that was the least I could use them. DO NOT use this company. They will keep you on hold until you give up, they will never return your calls, their customer service is awful. I had a pool issue and after 1 week they finally sent out a (so called) pool repair guy to diagnose and fix the issue. He DID NOT, he told me that the O ring was snapped and we would need another one. So I assume as an O ring costs around $10 - $25 bucks he would fix it on the spot. He did not he just left without saying good bye. I called his cell twice for updates and he never answered or returned my voice messages. I then called Platinum HW later that day and as per usual know one knew what was going on and they said someone will call me back, but as all week no one did. I called back again later and left which was my 6 message over a 7 day period. Still nothing and called them back the following day (day 8) and spoke to someone who again said they will have the claims department call me back. Again, NOTHING. I called them back and sat on hold for 9 mins and finally got a claim rep who promptly told me the O ring was not under warrantee. When I asked why he gave me some generic answer, so I asked to speak to a manager as I wanted my money back, so he said he will have someone call me. No one did. Luckly my neighbor had his pool guy over and he kindly looked at the pool system and took the part apart and basically told me the O ring was not broken, it had just been moved due to extra pressure, he cleaned it up and fixed the issue in 10 mins for me. The pool repair guy from Platinum never even got his tools out and looked like my neighbors pool guy. It was the first time I used Platinum and will be my last... Oh yeah they still have not refunded me my money to date....... Post Review

Called for heater inspection. Could not come out for 6 weeks. Time frame is wait all morning or all afternoon. I will not be renewing. Maybe they are better when something breaks down?

Bought the policy specifically because of their coverage of the sprinkling system. After repairing a couple small leaks ($60.00 deductible each) they announced that they were no longer covering the sprinkling system. They are a SCAM like most all of these companies are.
