We had our ac and heater furnace go out in the middle of winter. We called American Home Shield to have them send out a HVAC technician to our two story condo. The tech didn't bring a ladder, so American Home Shield label our work order as "No Access To Roof" and charged us $125.00 for service we didn't receive and no work done. We argue that there is access to the roof if the company that they choose was component enough to know to bring the right equipment (a ladder). American Home Shield customer service told us if we provide a ladder for the HVAC technician they can approve the work order to complete the job. Stupid and crazy! I DON'T OWN A CONTRACTOR APPROVED 30 FOOT LADDER! ARE WE SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION AND TOOLS FOR THE HVAC TECH TOO? 4 hours, of my life wasted on phone calls to American Home Shield (AKA FRONTDOOR INC)!
