Only my second claim and they did not live up to their contract. They claimed my issue was not covered under the contract until I had to screenshot and send the exact portion of the agreement. Then they sent out a technician. After the technician identified the issue visually and verbally, the technician waited over 45min. for verbal authorization from Choice Home Warranty. The technician could wait no longer and had to leave for another job. Later I receive a message on the CHW portal, the technician found no faulty mechanical failure and not replacement needed. I then had to contact and pay for my own plumber to replace a bad Pressure Valve. Do not trust CHW. .

Last year I had a pool problem. You could find anyone to pick up the job so you said I could find my own person and be reimbursed. I found someone to replace my pool pump. It cost me around $1,200. If you asked how much I was reimbursed and you said zero dollars you would be correct. No money and no explanation. last month my AC stopped working I called and you contracted a company to do the repair. After a week or so when no one showed up I called back and was assured someone would fix my ac. Again no one showed up. I called back today and you contacted another company. I'll see if someone shows up.

my dryer (gas) quit i called they said give them time to locate a repair man after a week i called they still had no one they were having a problem locating one i said sears trucks r allways around they contacted them they came out they tried oreded one no langer averable but tried another to make it work but it diden't now it's over 6 weeks i call give them more time we have only one laundery mat my husband is a disabled vet i am cancer (colon) disabled i haved called for two more weeks they say they are still trying to decide what they r going to do to day I asked to speek to a manger they got one she said what is your problem there is nothing can be done said good by and hung up this is causting us money and we do r laundry & thaking wet to dry I have never had any problems before but I do now I did say to the preson I am thing there should get compsation that when she hung up or get this fixed now as I said we r retired I have been trying to be paticent but after today I am really getting upset u have always been very helpfull please help us thank u so much have a blessed day

The hype of getting me to join to the point of actually using the services was just like night and day, when I actually truly needed the services of my air conditioner being looked at in 110 weather it took a week and then I had to call the company to find out what was going on and then all of a sudden everything become a priority. And wants the technician got on site and did his job very properly and professionally the whole time I felt like a bad person for using the services for his scrutinizing as choice was to help me restore two pounds of freon in my system. 2 lb! I paid more for the services of a year than what it was going to cost to recharge my system and get me and my family comfortable. I guess in the end as the customer I was guilty of being wrong and not needing the services until proven innocent and needing the services. Definitely would not recommend this company for anyone who lives in West Texas.

I thought Choice was very responsive with plumbing and electrical items. However, when it came to my air conditioning system failing, I was found to be at fault and Choice did not cover ANYTHING on replacement. I have never been exposed to a worse experience with no communication with Choice in a 2-week period when temps were over 100 degrees and I had no air conditioning. They didn't even join the 15-minute meeting that was scheduled a week in advance. Right now, I regret that I paid for a 3-year agreement with Choice, and I'm only halfway through it.

I've had a leak in my bathtub faucet since April 2022 and it still isn't fixed despite it being reported by me on 2 separate occasions and 2 different work orders. Although the repair was set up by Choice, the plumbers on both occasions did not show up or call to explain why they didn't show up. Instead I called them and they indicated that Choice doesn't pay their bill on services rendered by them. .

First time I had a problem with my central air I emailed a claim. Didn't hear anything so after 2 weeks I called a A/C service on my own they came out fixed the problem and I paid the claim out of my own pocket. Technician had part on his truck. A month later A/C went out again on a Friday afternoon. I called in a claim and said I did not want to hire my own technician. Got an email on Tuesday afternoon saying a contractor had been called and appt was scheduled for Friday. Luckily my son was able to diagnose and fix problem on Saturday. f I would have waited for Choice Home I would have been without A/C in 90-degree heat. Is this why I pay 43.00 a month? I have other more worthwhile places to put that money. Just sign me as ANOTHER unsatisfied customer !!!

It didn't seem like the agent's I talked to didn't understand my problem and so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told the supervisor would call me back in 24 hours, but I never got that call!! My air conditioner stopped working on a 90 degree day. Since a technician couldn't be found, I was given choice to find my own. I had already taken this initiative and found someone who could repair the A/C before choice got back to me. For reimbursement choice wanted pictures from my technician. He was already done and gone. I think choice should reimbursement my full amount of bill without all the back up that they requested.

We have had two issues and both times the companies they used were poor in customer service, unwilling to work schedules as needed, had poor tech the 1st time on ac and poor company altogether on hot water heater. Choice's reps were nice and shows great customer service but results did not match our expectations. We have replaced 3 ac's counting this one, and the end is not in sight as of tonight and its been 10 days. Our other 2 units were replaced 1st call to last and completed changes in 8 days last year here...and 9 days the other house.

Choice denies expensive claims and lies about what the tech said the issue was in order to benefit the company and not fix the appliance. The agents and appeals people sound very insincere as if they've heard all of these issues before, very unsympathetic, and just want you off the phone and offer no assistance. The appeals process is awful. To have to set up an appointment to speak to someone 48 hours later who doesn't care to help you anyway, is the worst. Hopefully it's not your AC unit in the middle of summer, because they don't care and you'll have to pay full price for repairs. I will be suing Choice for their deceit.

My stove in the kitchen caught fire June 10th, 2022 and today is July 17, 2022 and its still not fixed or replaced. They sent a gentleman to my home and he saw the problem said he would order the part or maybe get it replaced. The oven caught fire as I had a rost cooking. I shut the oven off thank goodness I was home and it did not go any farther than the stove. Well I've been waiting on the stove to be fixed. Was told that the part was in and he would be at my home July 11 at 10am to fix it. No show and I've tried to call several times by leaving a message and no return call. So no I'm not happy!!!

Customer service is horrid. Following Hurricane Sally I lost power. When it came back on 8 days later there was a power surge that fried my microwave. The lady I delt with just added onto the trauma I was dealing with. She offered me$100 for an over the oven relativaly new microwave with lights and vent fan. I shopped locally and they were all gone and it would be weeks to get one. I went out of town and finally found one at a good price of $319. I went around and around with this lady and finally she offered $245. My AC was having problems and I called and was told if it needed replacing they would pay $3000. When I purchased the 6 year plan I was told they would cover all costs. I was sold one plan and in actuality it wasn't anything like what I received. I have had home warranty plans and never gone through this much trouble. Unfortunately I am stuck with them for the 6 years.

They seem to avoid the actual question that I have. I am currently trying to work with them on my air conditioner and they originally quoted out on their network and the company they found just came out and I told him what I needed and then I was advised that the company they sent was no longer part of their network. So I went with the original company and it's been almost a month and we can't seem to give them the information they need on how they want it broke down because of repairs, they keep asking for more detail. I just think they make it really difficult for companies to want to work with them.

I had an issue with my air conditioning and they did not have a technician to come out so they offered the reimbursement option. I am still waiting to be reimbursed. The company that assisted me does not provide itemization in the fashion that is being requested post instalation and CHW has not made any advances to repay the out of pocket expense. There are basic google options that provide the details they are seeking and even if they came up with a breakdown that aligns with my region that would be acceptable however they are offering nothing and that shows that they are nit customer oriented at all.

I am a new Customer and I wasn't approved for any claims. The claims team didn't work with me to dissolve the issues. I paid out of pocket for a new water heater for my first claim denial and after 6 months, I was denied again and I have to pay out of pocket to repair my air handler leak. I also paid in full for my year contract and I paid 2 service fees without receiving repair. I hope I don't have anymore appliance issues because I don't have confidence that CHW will approve my claim. I should feel secure with a home warranty, but instead, I feel ripped off. I asked to cancel my contract, but that will be a $50 cancellation fee. More money out of my pocket. This is an expensive lesson. I will never buy a home warranty. I'll pay out of pocket for repair because it'll be cheaper and I won't have to stress if I get denied for a claim after paying for a warranty. I think CHW will deny any claim that will cost them over $50. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I have had home issues starting in January when I moved into my home. I think only one issue has been fixed and has not gotten worst after this whole time here (washing machine). When I would try to reach customer service they would give me the run around until I got ahold of Lauren K's number. But what is ridiculous is my realtor team had to call before I could even get a person to communicate with me. Hilltop plumbing came out and butchered the job of trying to fix my ac. The customer service guy was rude and yelling and chewing in my ear and screaming at his technicians if they were coming to my place. The guy showed up like 30 minutes late making me late to go pick up my daughter from school. Later upon his leaving he social media requested me which was unprofessional. He then came back to finish the job and caused my ac unit to start leaking causing another issue. Then Final Touch came out to fix my sink. I saw him tighten and he advised to put a fan down to dry the spot and sprayed mold spray. Days later and the spot has now covered my entire floorboard and black mold appears to me growing. When I went to him about it he was nasty with me and told me since I saw it leak one time from the left basically it wasn't his problem bc he fixed the right side. My thought I is it's the same unit, a sink, what does it matter what side you did. Please ethically fix it! I'm disappointed in the venders and the excessive times I have to pay service calls bc they say it falls under another category. They take advantage of people who don't know what category it is so we pick what we think sounds like the problem only to have to pay to have an issue fixed that was supposed to be resolved. I am a single parent getting no help and cannot afford to be doing this. Going into the next year I won't be partnering with Choice again.
