Appliance Benefits

In addition to its plans and add-on coverage options, 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty offers unique appliance benefits:

  • Appliance Color Matching — If you are getting an appliance replaced, 2-10 HBW offers to match the existing appliance's color. While always preferable, most warranty companies do NOT cover any cost of matching.
  • Appliance Replacement Offer — If a covered appliance fails, you can either choose to proceed with the normal claims process or accept a $100 reimbursement for purchasing a replacement appliance of your choice.
  • Appliance Discount Program — If you need to replace an appliance, 2-10 HBW offers a 65% discount on GE and Whirlpool appliance retail prices.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you cancel before the effective date, a full refund will be issued. After that, fees will be deducted from your refund. While this gives you the freedom to cancel during the 30-day waiting period before your warranty coverage starts, a full refund is not available once it starts.

The following restrictions may apply:

  • If you cancel up to 10 days after the effective date, you are eligible for a refund, but are responsible to pay a $25 processing fee and any amount that the provider paid for service.
  • If you cancel more than 10 days after the effective date, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining unused portion of the contract, less any amounts that the company paid for service and the $25 processing fee.

24/7 Claim Submission

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty provides 24/7 service to its customers. Homeowners may submit a service request 24/7 through their online portal or over the phone.

A service contractor will be dispatched to schedule a time, Monday through Friday during normal business hours, to diagnose and repair the eligible system or appliance.

Exclusive “Even-If” Service Fee Guarantee

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty customers benefit from a unique service fee guarantee. This guarantee includes the following benefits:

  • If you paid a service call fee, but your item was not eligible for coverage, you can request reimbursement.
  • If a covered part is serviced and fails again within the term of the Home Warranty Service Agreement, another Service Fee will not be due.

Contractor Options

Some home warranty companies prevent customers from calling the approved contractors directly. 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty allows its customers to contact the contractors directly to expedite the process. If you are looking for a quicker turnaround time, this is a nice feature to have.

Your chosen service contractor must be licensed and insured. He or she must also contact 2-10 HBW with a detailed diagnosis and estimate to see if it's covered and to get an authorization number.

If an in-network pro is not available, it's one thing, but if you simply choose to get your own repair, 2-10 will only cover "an amount equivalent to what [2-10] would have paid for parts and labor for a contracted provider to complete the needed service."

Real Estate Warranty Plan Packages

If you are buying or selling a home, 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty offers distinct service contracts for home buyers and sellers, which must be purchased through a real estate professional:

  • Seller Coverage — 2-10 HBW offers free seller coverage for appliances, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems. Free coverage is not available where prohibited by law, including the state of Florida. Complimentary seller policies don't cover air conditioning or heat pumps, but coverage can be added for $50–$60.
  • Buyer Coverage — Same as seller coverage, with the basics, but it also includes the Happy Home Lock & Hardware program, which provides reimbursement up to $100 to install new locks or rekeying within 45 days after closing. No service fee is charged.
  • 3-Year New Home Warranty Plans — Appliance and home system repair service contracts to buyers of brand new houses. As with other real estate contracts, new construction home warranties must be purchased through a partnering real estate agency.

What does the claims process look like?

When a covered item breaks down from normal wear and tear, simply log in to your online Homeowner Portal account — available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — to request service. After you answer a few easy questions, help will be on the way. You can also contact our claims department at the toll-free number. An approved, insured, local contractor in your area will be dispatched. You’ll set an appointment with them, and when they arrive, they’ll collect your Service Fee (see your service agreement for specific details about your Service Fee). I submitted an AC service request. The request was assigned to FL Pro Services that does not provide emergency services. Tried several times to escalate the issue and the website keeps asking you to login to contact 2/10. It does not matter how many times you try, the website keeps bringing you back to the login page. You cannot get an agent on weekend and no emergency contact service available either. 2/10 sucks with capital SUCKS.

They don’t even 1 star!! "Do not work with them! 2-10 Warranty Company is the most horrible one I have ever seen. They never answer you; even if they do, they don’t resolve your problem. The only thing they do is say they are sorry and give you another department's number. My refrigerator is not working, and I requested service almost three months ago. The technician they sent made it even worse. Right now, I am unable to use the refrigerator. I am going to stop working with them and let everyone know how poor their service is. It's a waste of time and money to work with them.

They are a scam. Their plumber found nothing wrong. A secondary issue they said I'll have to wait to hear back from 2-10 to approve it. Never DID. I hired an outside plumber to come in. 4 hours later, and $890 also, the outside plumbing company fixed my issues.

The service company you sent out went out of business durning my installation, now I have a installed dishwasher sitting in middle of my kitchen a week before Thanksgiving , last year we almost froze waiting for an heater installment nov 21-feb 14 wrong parts and other stuff had to buy 4 heaters , Now waiting for another person .please get it together hire reliable contractors.

If I could leave a 0 I would. First bad experience someone came who said he was from the company and he wasn’t. Scammed us out of 89$. Second time we waited over a month for a new water heater. Again we’ve had cold water for a month and the contractor who was assigned didn’t come to do the job and left us still without hot water. Extremely poor communication with this company. Save yourself money and go with someone else. You’ll appreciate it in the end

Most things are not covered. It’s very easy to request a service but my experience was a huge waste of money. The first time I called was about my air conditioner and did NOT have a problem. It was the second time I had a problem. I requested service for a leaking bathroom faucet, that took awhile to have a service call, then they came out for 5 minutes and fixed NOTHING but I still had to pay the $100 service fee!! That completely was a waste of money!! My money!!

Over the weekend, you cannot get ahold of them. Their phones are disconnected and you cannot start a new claim if you already have one going. Two weeks ago my A/C went out. I tried to go online to start a claim. There was already a claim open from the previous contractor who did not complete the claim process on my HVAC tune up. So this happened on a Friday. I could not get a hold of anybody until Monday morning at 8:00 o'clock when somebody finally answered the phone. Then I was able to get somebody to come out after it being two days with no A/C in Tucson Arizona at 90 degrees. Then I had to wait two more days until Wednesday when the contractor could finally make it out here, to then simply plug something back in that the previous contractor left unplugged. It would really be nice if people would call you back when they say they're going to call you back. I have asked customer service to call me back on two separate occasions and to speak with a supervisor, and I can't get a hold of anybody. But I guess it doesn't matter as long as they get my $110 every month, right? They always do what they say they're gonna do.

PLEASE LISTEN up, I spent 3 years paying these people. Then I put my first claim in and they deny it. BUT they saved me in the end, as the cost for the claim exposed who they really are and how they operate. They are too dumb to realize they would have made more money off of me staying a customer and paying them then the claim was for. These things are SCAMS and these guys are the worst. PLEASE CONSIDER another option and read the small print.

It has been 7 weeks since they sent me a plumber who turned out not to be insured. The plumber caused a leak and nearly $2000 in damages. 2-10 will do nothing more than tell me I need to talk to the plumber. They sent the plumber They do not stand behind the work their contractors do

I have frog committed on my car that my 2-10 Warranty was being drafted from. They only sent an email. Who checks emails nowadays? No one sent a letter or made a phone call to let me know that they were canceling my warranty. I just found out that my warranty has been canceled since April! It is now July! Y’all got to do better.

My first experience with 2-10 has been sub-par. The claims didn’t have a radio button for the issues we were experiencing so I selected the closest. They sent a technician who was prompt and communicative but not able to do the work. I was informed a new service provider was selected who never called or confirmed. When I called, the rep was instantly defensive, rude and short, cutting me off and hanging up on me to prevent me from filling out the survey. They rescheduled with another service provider who wasn’t communicative about constant changes to the schedule. When I asked for another service provider, I was denied one because the service provider had “rescheduled servicefor today” for two days in a row resulting in more delays. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told 24-48 hours. I was told I could pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement which leads me to question why I’m already paying out of pocket for this warranty. In total it has been 12 days since we had gas and 2-10s poor service has neither remedied the situation or provided an acceptable alternative. This is not the kind of service I spend my hard earned money on.

Going on the fifth week of a fridge repair. After initial inspection, approval process and waiting for ordered parts the contractor, XR Services Appliance Repair, stated they were never received. I would now have to wait longer to have the parts reordered and the processing couldn't be expedited. Additionally, the contractor wouldn't respond to texts and their phone system doesn't allow for voice messages. Escalating the service with 2-10 resulted in many 'I'm sorry, that is frustrating' statements, but no true solutions from 2-10. My two (2) main options presented have been cash in lieu of service or finding a different contractor by which the entire process of assignation, diagnosis, ordering parts and finally service would begin anew with no acceleration of the process. On 10/30/23 I asked for a new contractor, one was assigned and I was told I would be contacted soon to establish that initial service. It is currently 1p local time and I am still waiting for that call from Saguaro Appliance Repair. Also on 10/30/23 I was contacted by 2-10 stating that they had finally reached XR Services, they had the part and could come out on 10/31/23 to complete the repair. I left work early to be there for the allotted 2-4p window and the contractor arrived at 3:35. By 4:40 the contractor contacted his office and stated that he didn't have enough fuel to do the soldering necessary for the repair and would need to schedule another day to complete the repair. I spoke with the scheduler and let them know that they would need to come out 11/1/23 between 2:30-3p to complete the repair. XR Services has been unresponsive by phone and text and 2-10 has ZERO solutions to offer aside from calls and emails from Contractor Relations to these vendors. I'll reiterate, I have been without a fridge for five (5) weeks and the money I have paid for the warranty and the service call have not brought me any closer to resolution. Additionally, if you Google XR Services and Saguaro Appliance Repair for Tucson, AZ you cannot reach them as a private party. Interesting choices for preferred contractors.

In my opinion you don’t really get a warranty at all. Through the purchase of my new home I was provided (by the builder, and I paid $800 for) a 1/2/10 year warranty on a $500k home. What did I really think I was to going to get for that price? The answer turned out to be very little and they don’t even want you contacting them to process a warranty claim. That’s a red flag right there. You have to contact your builder, whom you don’t have a contract with to perform warranty services of any sort. So if your builder doesn’t wanna do any (warranty-covered) warranty work, they don’t! When you bring it up with 2-10 HBW, they tell you to go to arbitration (even for clearly covered warranty items in their warranty booklet), at your cost of $750 just to start the process. They just don’t want to get involved, or do anything other than deposit your check for your 'warranty' into their bank. They don't cover appliances either. That's a problem when you find out your one year manufacturer warranty expired 6 months after you closed on your home because your builder bought the appliances 6 months before you closed. I could go on with other ridiculous issues but I’ll stop here. The large builders provide, and stand behind, their own warranties but if the small builder of your new home provides you with 2-10's New Home warranty get ready for potential disappointment.

I purchased two contracts from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. The first issue with my double oven made me realize how shady this company is. After the contractor informed me that the part was not available from GE and the oven needed to be replaced. I received email from them with two offers 1- to order pre-owned part from Ebay or cash toward the repair for $189.00. I called them and was on hold on the phone for an hour. I asked the questions Can you please show me where the used part is mentioned in the contract? The answer was that it does not mention a new part in the contract as well. Be aware !!!!!!!!!!!!!! of how they are using their words and contracts.

They don't get back with you. They're not very helpful. They were supposed to call me back even the other day and they never returned my call. I had a furnace upstairs that was not working. I called them and a person came out, they worked on it. A couple days later it wasn't working. That's when the next guy came out. The previous guy broke the water line from the top of the drain line and the man said it could not be repaired and I have to switch the whole unit out and I was able to fix it myself for $0.89. I called 2-10 and complained and complained they did nothing about it. They just say that there is somebody going to get back with you, then they changed the warranty. They try to avoid instead of really fixing things

2-10 cares more about their bottom line then making sure the customer receives quality products or gets the claims taken care of in a timely manner. I have a three year old dishwasher that does not get my dishes clean. The repair company recommended replacing it. 2-10 decided to replace the motor instead. This machine has never functioned correctly. I can only operate it half loaded. This costs me more money in utilities & detergent. 2-10 could care less. Unless the motor was faulty from the start I expect the same level of performance after the part is installed. It is now OCR. I put in the original service request in June or July, I can no longer remember.

I was charged $100 without the service being completed. Plumber showed up at 6:30 pm (window was 11 am to 5 pm). He did not have a tool with him. Never checked the issue just looked at the tub, never ran water, never seal overflow drain that had leaked in ceiling as reported in claim. Called Youngs Plumbing and they said he had a family emergency that's why he was like that. 210 said they scheduled Long Lane with no charge for following day. Waited all next day. No show. Long Lane closed claim without showing. I called 210 for my money back. Instead the girl put me on an endless hold and apparently scheduled a third vendor. I canceled as I wanted my $100 back at that point. Called several times and waited on endless holds. Still never resolved. I am owed $100. Providers responsibility in the contract was not met.

The overall impression is 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty is very very good at taking the money, but very very bad at servicing the contract. Their customer service sucks. It's almost impossible to get through to them without waiting on hold for hours. Call backs are nonexistent, we suffered through over three weeks with no air conditioning in our home in the middle of the Texas summer. The errors are one hundred percent on the part of 2-10. We now have another claim in 2-10 that was made almost a month ago to repair our microwave. The microwave is still not functional although that early last week I did get an email from 2-10 stating that they had a crew to repair.

I'm not impressed with the service, I'm not happy with it. I had a problem with the microwave at my home and I called and scheduled an appointment and we had a technician from a nearby service provider come out to see the microwave and had to order the part. So we had to wait a few days and when the part came they came and fixed it and as soon as he fixed that he broke something else and then he told me that he was sorry for what happened and they would come back and replace it. It's been over three months and we haven't received a call back from them. When I called 2-10 Warranty they told me they were gonna follow up on that and since then I didn't get any feedback anymore.

Customer service is non existent and every year the price rises. I've had a pipe break under my home- they took days to get someone dispatched. In those waiting days the entire insulation to my home was destroyed. This is 9k worth of underbelly and insulation that MUST be replaced and we cannot afford it. This is why we have this warranty- to protect our home. Not let it sit failing for 4 days growing mold. Our crawl space is now openly exposed with our floors, plumbing and heating (all our full systems) open and sweating making our home wet and destroying its integrity. $120 per month for this.

I am in the process of a claim for a broken refrigerator. At one week without a refrigerator. The second service provider (the first one couldn't make their initial visit for a week) they sent recommended a replacement because of what is broken and the fact that this brand has a reputation of ongoing issues with this. 2-10 recommends a "sealed technician" to come out to verify. They have assigned three providers but, alas, none of them are sealed techs. 2-10 does not have a list of sealed techs, that THEY need to verify the claim. Now the dispatch department is searching for one for the past 48 hours. I could get the Yellow Pages and try to locate one but if I tell them I am trying, they STOP SEARCHING. I spend $110 a month for them to repair my appliances. Not sure how I could do it better than them. I will write another review when this is over. And, meanwhile, I have no refrigerator...

Called in my claim on a Sunday. I received a generated email stating they would get back with us. We received no further response. On Monday, we waited for a response all day, and then we put in another claim. We again received another computer generated email. We waited again on Tuesday. Then we made a phone call to an operator for 210. She told us someone would be in touch with us. That never happened. Called again Wednesday; we were given the name of a contractor. He arrived Thursday evening. They gave him instructions to assess and advise. He did not do any repairs that night. I called them back Friday. We had to repeatedly call them Friday so the contractor could get our work done. They called me at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon to tell me the repair would not be covered. We weren't really upset that the repair was not covered, but that 210 had an uncaring attitude towards our wait time of 5 days waiting on an AC repair. The AC was sporadic the first few days of this and then went out completely. Five days of waiting and poor communication made for a long week.

I'm still waiting for either a washing machine or buy out, My claim was started in May to 10 dictated who they would send out diagnose the problem said it wasn't fixable yet to 10 decided to order a part on eBay so I had to take a day off work so they can come out and fix it and it wasn't fixable then I get an email to choose between a washing machine or a payout I chose the washing machine then they sent a unit that wasn't matching and took it back and now are charging me for the restocking fee can never speak to anybody that knows anything that's going on in the claim and when you do the twist everything around as if it's your fault

2-10's coverage of claims filed is the most ridiculous thing I've ever encountered. Nothing is covered and you won't see any money reimbursed for any kind of work done to your home from an issue that comes up. The entire purpose of a warranty is to have your home covered in the event that something goes wrong. Every time something goes wrong, 2-10 finds a loophole or simply doesn't pay to help keep your home whole. On top of that, you have to spend at least 2 hours on hold to be told you're not getting any money. Getting a 2-10 hone warranty is the worst thing someone can do. Throughout each home I've owned and had 2-10 as a home warranty provider, I've filed 5 claims for substantial items and probably received a combined $100 from 2-10 and I paid for the rest.

I have put in 3 work requests, one I had to cancel, but the other two were for a pretty significant leak from my AC unit. I live in a condo on the 2nd floor, and would hate for water damage to happen to my condo or my neighbor below me, and the company didn't seem very concerned with this because the companies they have contracts with are either too busy or just don't want to deal with home warranties, I got maybe one phone call, after having 3 to 4 different companies assigned to my case. Very poor. I finally had to call someone on my own to come out, they answered when we called and came the same day. Amazing, maybe 2-10 should find better companies.

This company is not user friendly nor equipped to hassle a Multifamily property. The disconnect from the agent sale/set up to actual claim process was a disaster. I've spent countless hours since September 2021 on the phone, from on-boarding to filing different claims. Eject I've asked for help from the tech department I've gotten bounced back and forth from agent services to customer service. When requesting Escalations or Supervisor, that process takes forever and so does ordering parts and vendor timeliness. Maybe a single family home would have been a better experience but their stab at getting into the multi family space was a poor try.

Absolute garbage experience. I've had a broken oven with an open work order since August of 2021. This is a covered appliance in my plan. The item they have offered to replace it with has been on back order since then. I've asked multiple times to just get a different replacement, but they refuse to allow that and only offer me a cash value that is half the cost to replace the appliance. I've tried escalating the issue, no one ever responds. It's the same story every time you talk to their customer service. They apologize for the inconvenience, but fail to remedy the issue that's been going on for 8 months. I was told the item would be in stock March 22nd of 2022. When I called today (April of 2022) the informed me the item would be out of stock until June. Same BS again. No one is willing to help you. They pass you from department to department and are always apologetic, but apologies don't fix my broken oven. Absolute garbage. I have never hated a company more, not even the cable company. If that doesn't speak volumes, then nothing will.

I needed to use my warranty about two and a half weeks ago due to my furnace is going out and two weeks without heat my house was at 51 degrees and 2-10 simply just told me that it was nothing that they can do until they determine if they were going to fix the parts on my furnace or order me a new furnace. So it took them about a week to come up with that decision then they put the order in and it took another week for someone to come out to fix it so that was two whole weeks that I went without heat and 2-10 didn't compensate or anything. Their policy does not care about the customers. I am counting the days until I cancel them.

I had to use my home warranty and I had four small gas leaks definitely and they told me that it would be three days before they could get someone out to fix the gas leaks and that was unacceptable to me because I had four gas leaks definitely I do have the gas turned off. It was twenty degrees out I was worried about my pipes freezing, so I had to get approval to have out of network and I got reimbursed a hundred twenty hundred thirty dollars out of a seven hundred dollar cost to fix my pipe so I was very discouraged with two ten home warranty. Because that's not an emergency to them nothing is an emergency does she have home warranty their emergency and my emergency are two different things. Customer service is very poor.

This warranty company is the worst warranty company I've ever dealt with. First of all they will company out to provide services which they will either take your service fees and claim they need to come back and do the job because of whatever reason they couldn't finish the job at that time. But they will never come back to finish the job leaving the issues undone and when you call the warranty company asking for another company to come to finish the unfinished job they say the customer has to pay another service fee. Which I feel is not good customer service. If you customer is telling you that the job was unfinished you should send another company out to finish the job without asking them to pay another service fee.

Very terrible. There was a simple leak came from my pipe through my garbage disposal under my sink kitchen sink. Its covered under there, but once the plumber got here he looked and he told me that a certain piece was missing in a certain area and to ten said that even through my premium coverage there's a little exclusionary thing that says that if its one specific thing they're not going to cover it. Then they charged me a service fee and I had to pay a bunch of money out of pocket get it fixed. They didn't do anything for me. The only time they've ever helped me they took forever to help me and it's been like a huge, huge pain. I have called many many times and sent many emails arguing with multiple people before they actually do their jobs. Very negative.

The first couple of times I tried to reach them, I literally was on hold for almost 3 hours. They don't have an email for customer service, either you put in a service request through their very limited portal or you don't get service. There is no way to contact anyone to get questions answered or for specific issues. Most recently I put in a service request for my refrigerator and they scheduled an appt within 2 days, but the service company called me to let me know that appt is not scheduled and they can't come out for 2 1/2 weeks. In the meantime all of my food is going bad, so I had to call another company and pay for them to come this week. I have found this home warranty service to be pretty useless and will not be renewing.

Okay we have had a couple of claims open for three months that are not solved yet. And the last time I tried to contact to 2-10 customer service to follow up, I waited online for 1 and a half hours and I have a proof of this. And then the line hung up on me and 2-10 is not trying to help in any of my claims. My AC has not been working for three months and 2-10 responded but they didn't followed up. They didn't finish the job and the other three months old claim is not solved yet. The dishwasher on my other home hasn't been fixed or replaced even though we did everything 2-10 asked to facilitate the fixing or replacing our dishwasher.

I had a problem with my washing machine and called 2-10 about this issue. They informed me that there would be a local repair facility calling me to schedule a time to come out within the next day. I waited a 2 dasys and finally I contacted 2-10 to find out what was happening. They then informed me that the 2 shops they work with in my area could not do it do it for whatever reason and then told me I needed to find someone to come out and they would reemburse me the ampount chrged because I had to find someone myself. I found a company, had them come repair the washer, and then then followed there instructions on submitting the receipt for reimbursement. They declined to pay me the full amount I was charged, and told me they had never approved for me to get someone on my own. The whole experience was a nightmare, and the manager I spoke with from 2-10 was very unprofessional and rude. Bottom line is, they were unable to help when I needed them to and then refused to honor the agreement in reference to the terrible predicament they put me in.

My experience has been very negative and it's kind of frustrating right now. It's just not worth the hassle. I've had some issues for three to four months that hadn't been resolved. They have kind of incompetent suppliers that do their fixes for the appliances and such. For instance, we have a dishwasher that someone's come out and looked at four or five times and ordered a multitude of parts for unnecessarily. We're still kind of at square one without things being fixed, so we're pretty pissed off. There have been miscommunications between the third parties and 2-10, and it has taken a while to fix it, going back and forth between them until they realized they ordered the wrong parts. The people they send out don't abide by Covid rules that they publish on their website and don't really solve issues.

I have submitted a request to be reimbursed and have not been so for months it wasn’t until I called and initiated defined out why that I found out they were missing one document from the service or who I reached out to contacted received and uploaded to their website and still have not received a check for outside vendors. I also currently have been waiting seven weeks to get my washing machine we have gone through three different companies they’ve sent to us yet no one comes back to finish the work. These are all servicers recommended through them. Customer service is nice when I call but no action is really taken to help me they just reschedule someone else. So overall very disappointed in this warranty and as soon as it’s up I will be going with another company.

Just after moving in to our brand new home with our new appliances package warranty, bought by the sellers, our brand new Frigidaire dishwasher did not work. The company refused to replace or repair the dishwasher stating that the dishwasher did not work when we moved in and therefore was not covered. When we questioned and brought up the fact that the inspector had ran the dishwasherPrior to us getting closing on the loan we were told that our inspector had no appliance license and could not vouch for it working and because I told them that the dishwasher did not work when we first ran it after moving in and taking ownership of the home they did not honor the warranty for.

One star because you cannot leave less than that. Complete Rip Off. No customer service whatsoever. Open orders on August 4th- 4 MONTHS and they cannot get the parts. They offered refunds for the two orders they never completed and today I'm told there is no refunds issued. Parts won't come in until December. It's all BS. I can get arts overnight if I want to, but they don't want to. Worse customer service and worse company to deal with. They are very prompt to collect every month but won't give a F# about their customers.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! A 1-year home warranty from this company was paid for by the seller when I purchased my house, but I never had to use it. I decided to keep the plumbing policy in place after that year, which also for some reason required me to pay for electrical and kitchen appliances. I had an issue with my convection oven, not covered. Then my kitchen faucet, not covered, then a broken pipe in the basement, not covered. Then my ice maker/water dispenser on my fridge...you guessed it, not covered. They did pay $100 towards a company coming out to snake my drain as an emergency in year 1 of this coverage, which was only a fraction of the cost. In year 2 of the policy, they also covered a 5-minute job to change a hot water valve, of which I paid $85. They work in cahoots here in Omaha with a plumber called Accorn, who helps them deny claims they should pay and inflates costs of claims they say they're paying out. After the last time getting denied (for the refrigerator), I canceled the policy they day my payment for the next month came out of my account. Instead of even refunding that month's premium, they sent me a letter saying they aren't refunding my money, which makes no mathematical sense and nobody there can explain it. I will say that although they almost never were able to help me, everybody I've spoken to there is incredibly nice. I feel bad that they have to be on the front line taking the shots for their ripoff employer. This company is an absolute scam and there has to be a more respectable option out there.

If I could these guys a 0, I would! These guys have been absolutely awful! We have been trying for over 2 months now, just to simply have someone come out and take a look at a few things! Someone who did finally answer the phone told us that they tried to contact us. Which is true, they left a voicemail to call them back. We did call them back on the same day of the voicemail and haven’t heard anything. They had the audacity to say that they tried “multiple” times to contact us and we didn’t respond. That is 1000% not true and pathetic…. Just today we called back again around 12:30 and the automated system told us they would call us back when it’s our turn... You can probably guess what happened!? Yep, haven’t heard anything! Don’t waste your time with these guys, they have terrible respect for potential customers.

I wish I could give them negative stars!!!! This is the worse company I have ever had to deal with. We bought a home and we were so excited the seller bought us this warranty case we had issues. We lived in our new home about 3 or 4 days when we realized the hot water was not getting as hot. So we contacted 2-10 and it’s been nothing but a run around crap about it’s pre existing yet it worked when we moved in. We had a plumber inspect it prior to move in and have documentation that it was working. I am on hold for now what is 2 hours and 4 minutes this is the 3rd call of the day to get answers and I go online and they have closed our request without reason or even letting us know. I have a family and we are taking cold showers for over a week now. Absolutely horrible customer service the ladies get rude and hateful saying it’s cause how old the water heater is and that they don’t cover that. I do not recommend this company to anyone!!!!!!

Reviewed July 16, 2023 Do not choose this company. They have terrible customer service. If you need to contact them by phone you will have long wait times. They will do everything they can to get out of helping you. The contractors they assign take at least 30 days to show up…if they show up at all. I currently have 3 open service requests that are at least 6 months old. My AC went out on a weekend (not during 2-10,s business hours). I was lucky enough to get a company out here to replace it (I live in Florida - it is miserably hot down here right now). Of course they are denying the claim because I did not have prior authorization.

There is no way to contact the people in the claims department. They did give me a phone call to begin with, left a voicemail, but there was no way to contact them back. I have had to make multiple trips to resolve the same issue over and over again. We have had to have people com eout pultiple times for small things because they didn't fix things.

I STILL can't get a simple hot water heater replacement issue resolved, because the claims department has excessively long wait times for phone calls. After 4 phone calls of waiting over 45 minutes only to be cut off - one when someone answered and the other 3 before anyone even picked up - I gave up and had to directly ask the dispatched contractor to do the work.

Lengthy delays in processing claims and communication, with a couple of possible bright spots. Claim (for an HVAC and furnace replacement) was first submitted 6/21/2022, and nearly all of the delays have been due to mistakes or slow processing by 2-10. The company has made a few attempts to make progress on the claim, and has reached out a few times with status updates, but the HVAC service provider is still waiting for the correct equipment to be delivered.

In my one experience attempting to claim this warranty, 2-10 did nothing to support or help remedy the bungled experience with their vendor, and took no responsibility for the vendor they engaged on my behalf. They are impossible to reach by phone -- and the person I eventually reached was unhelpful; I spent my own time and money trying to get my money back from the vendor, who did not perform their job. It was a disappointing and time-wasting experience, and a service of questionable value.
