The Bad

  • Poor Online Transparency
  • Lacks Some Services

It is incredibly confusing to navigate the U.S. Alarm website. There is little information available regarding specific package options available, equipment provided through U.S. Alarm, contract terms, and its cancellation policy. Its important to understand what a home security company is able to provide when comparing different companies and the U.S. Alarm website does little to help consumers clearly understand their options. There are several services absent from U.S. Alarm's package. It currently does not provide any home automation services such as smart appliances, automatic door locks, thermostat control, or other similar smart home technology. While U.S. Alarm does provide burglary and fire alarm services, it does not provide medical alert services and may not provide carbon monoxide detection. Consumers interested in these services should go through a different home security company.
