SEi Security, Security Equipment Inc, was founded in 1969. The company covers the Midwest with a variety of residential, commercial, and intrusion alarm systems. SEi Security systems provide state-of-the-art equipment to help customers be protected from intrusion, fire, water, smoke, carbon monoxide, and gives you the ability for surveillance. Installation is done by a professional and costs $299 for the basic Secure Home Package. Monitoring monthly prices range from $24 to $46. Other services can be added on for an additional cost.

SEi systems provides peace of mind with 24/7 monitoring. Staff is on-hand and ready to notify police, fire department, rescue squad, or hospital in an emergency situation. The company's automation services give you access to turn your security system on or off, unlock or lock doors, check the system status, control temperature, and video surveillance at the touch of your finger with inTouch. Each installation is a custom design specific to your home and your needs. SEi Security has a complete package of monitoring services which include fire, carbon monoxide, water damage from broken pipes or leaks, methane and propane gas leaks, and temperature monitoring. Video surveillance helps you monitor when away from home with live and pre-recorded video feed. SEi's customer care center has been given UL's (Underwriters Laboratories) highest approval. All customer care center ambassadors are required to pass the CSAA (Central Station Alarm Association) level 1 and level 2 dispatchers course. By doing so, SEi has received a Five Diamond certification from CSAA.

Installation is done by a professional but will cost you at least $299. The only pricing found on the company's website is for the Secure Home Package which includes three door contacts, one motion detector, keypad/siren, keyfob cellular communicator, inTouch mobile management, and professional installation. If interested in any additional services (ex. fire monitoring) it will be added onto your monthly monitoring cost. If this package doesn't meet your needs with the number of door contacts or motion detectors, then this price is not accurate for you. It is best to set up a free consultation to learn what the best system will be to meet your needs. Each installation is custom designed, and pricing will be based off that design. Keep in mind SEi Security is not nationwide but rather serves those in the Midwest region. Offices are in Des Moines, Lincoln, Iowa City, Omaha, and Kansas City. No information is provided in regards to contract agreements or if the company offers any type of warranties on the equipment. The company doesn't give easy access to whether or not there is equipment costs.

SEi Security is a homerun with all the services given to choose from. Without having complete access to pricing, customers have to follow through with an in-home consultation where you can learn what is recommend for your home; however, installation is not cheap, and you'll have to contact the company directly before getting a clear picture of the overall cost and functionality of your system.
