I called SafeTouch because I had some sketchy people come to my door soon after buying my first house. They sent a sales agent to my house and I was excited to get everything set up until I saw the 5 years this guy said nothing about on the contract. He dejectedly offered me a 3 year contract which I accepted. Now, about 2 and a half years into the contract, I completely regret getting the system set up in the first place. I have a roommate with his own schedule, they have a dog and it's hard to keep the system armed at any point of the day. Sure enough though, SafeTouch is forcing me through to the end of the contract like 6 months from now. Locked into a $50.47/month contract with no way out. Even if I sold the house tomorrow, they would still get all their money from me. $50.47 multiplied by 36 months is $1,816.92. I do not remotely think it was worth it. What a ridiculous way to keep customers around in the year 2022. I would never recommend ANYONE to be locked into a contract because circumstances may change.

The system was installed in the house I purchased in 2017. The installation went pretty smoothly and I had no major complaints with the system's hardware. The doorbell camera they install has a limited capacity of videos and does not support auto deleting the oldest videos. The real trouble came in when trying to disconnect. Nothing will make them relent, not selling your house, moving because of military orders, etc. nothing else I can think of will get you out of your contract. I just had to pay about $300 to make them go away and, and for that I received no value except for deactivated hardware installed in a house I no longer own. They also make cancelling extremely hard requiring correspondence and a conversation with a "retention expert". This company can go straight to he11. They'll never get my business again, and I'll recommend against their service to anybody who will listen.

I installed a new safe touch security system (replacing/upgrading) my previous Safe Touch system. From the time it was installed August 2019, to now end of Sept. , it has not worked correctly. The response from Safe Touch has been worse than bad - they don't care. I spent weeks trying to get them to come out. They did after I finally was able to contact the local (Orlando, FL) office (that required a great deal of effort because Safe Touch makes it almost impossible to contact someone locally) - but the problem resurfaced the day after they left. I finally got a visit scheduled for 10/31 (8am - 10am). No one showed up - I contacted them and was advised the time was now 3pm - impossible because my wife and I could not be here then. I told them it was urgent because we were leaving the country on 11/8. They said they couldn't get here until, maybe, late November. Think about it - "impossible to find time to schedule a maintenance call in the next 7 days?" I was told they couldn't rearrange anything on their schedules because ALL of the other maintenance calls were requested before mine. ….. Is that "customer Care"? "Customer Service" It's a joke.
