This is a great feature if you're looking to pick and choose security components or if you are looking for a system to manage a larger property. Another benefit of Northeast Security Systems is that its security consultants are trained professionals who receive ongoing education. This ensures that the professionals are educated with the latest security technologies and trends. Newer security companies are moving away from landline monitoring because of its vulnerability to burglars. Northeast Security does use landlines for its security systems. While at first this appears as a downside, it does include a GSM Cellular and Internet backup option for monitoring. This means that your system can run on an Internet or cellular signal if your phone line is down. This is an added benefit in increasing your home's monitoring.

One of the obvious downsides to Northeast Security is that it serves a limited geographical area including nine counties in New Jersey and three counties in New York. While its third-party monitoring center may serve a larger geographical area, technician support may not. Keep this in mind if you may potentially relocate in the near future. Northeast Security doesn't provide just security services. It also installs home theater, central vacuum, and whole house audio and video systems for its clients. This could be an added bonus if you're looking for a full home experience. However, if you're interested in a company dedicated just to security services, we recommend looking elsewhere. Finally, Northeast Security does not detail its equipment offerings, packages, or pricing options online. The intent is so that you can customize your system but this is a negative aspect if you are hoping to compare multiple companies and pricing prior to purchasing.
