The Good

  • Available Equipment
  • No Upfront Costs
  • Free Installation
  • Professional Monitoring
  • Home Automation Options

Available Equipment

CRS offers a wide variety of security equipment including the following:

  • Control panel
  • Door/window sensor
  • Motion detector
  • Glass break detector
  • Doorbell camera
  • Outdoor security camera
  • Indoor security camera

All devices can be monitored and managed from the mobile app.

While its pricing packages come with a predetermined set of security equipment, you can add extras as you need. CRS’s equipment packages range from $900 to $1,000.

No Upfront Costs

Purchasing a security system is an investment. To make it easier for customers to get a system that works for them, CRS charges no upfront costs on new security systems.

Free Installation

CRS offers free installation on all its pricing packages. You can even choose to have your new security system installed on the same day as your purchase.

Professional Monitoring

CRS offers professional monitoring from its UL-listed monitoring center. The monitoring center works with the local authorities to dispatch emergency services to your home when the alarm is triggered. CRS professional monitoring services are an additional $29.99–$39.99 a month.

Home Automation Options

CRS’s security systems are compatible with several home automation devices including:

  • Wireless smart door locks
  • Garage door controllers
  • Smart lighting
  • Thermostats

These devices connect to the same mobile app as the security system for convenient management of your entire home.

The website does not provide any information if the system is compatible with other smart devices like Amazon Echo devices, Google Home, Apple Homepod, etc. You will need to ask a company representative for more details on compatibility.

The Bad

  • Undisclosed Contract Information

Undisclosed Contract Information

The only contract information on CRS’s website is in small print in the footer. Under the terms and conditions, it says “Based on 36 Monitoring Length.” This suggests that all the pricing listed on the site is based on customers purchasing a professionally monitored security system and keeping the system for at least three years.

The Bottom Line

CRS is an appealing choice for customers in the Las Vegas area. It provides a wide range of equipment to cover the needs of every home. The fact that it requires no upfront costs and offers free installation makes it easier for more customers to finance a security system.

However, CRS’s website provides limited information on service contracts. One of the most common complaints in home security reviews across the industry is from customers who felt they were deceived into signing a multiple-year contract. We recommend discussing any contractual obligations in detail with a sales representative and reading the contract thoroughly before signing.

Since we do not have any CRS Home Security reviews, we suggest comparing its services with our top-rated home security companies before making a final decision.
