I have been with Vivint for about 8 years and am looking for another company. First, the system goes offline with a "Failure to Communicate" message routinely. Second, the sensors fell off my doors. I could not get anyone from the company to re-attach them--tried three times. Once, a Vivint rep was in the neighborhood and he said he could fix it. He never showed up. I ended up reattaching them with superglue, semi-successfully. Third, the company used to have a program where you could pay the yearly bill in one lump sum and save one month's payment. They cancelled that option a couple of years in. Fourth, they are more expensive than other systems that do the same thing and more. Finally, they do not respond when I email them. They did respond quickly when I accidently set off the alarm a couple of years ago--police were notified right away. But I want better customer service than I'm getting,

I can see and speak to my children when they are with a babysitter which I love!! I also like the doorbell camera. Someone hit my car and ran but it was all caught by my doorbell camera, they found the guy and damages to my car are being taken care of!!

I LOVE MY VIVINT HOME SECURITY! They have been extremely helpful and I always feel safe. My doorbell camera is amazing and so is my keyless entry. The carbon monoxide detector is connected to the fire department and they have saved my family twice. Thanks Vivint!

Pretty slick system, I agree with some folks when it comes to uninformed Best Buy employees, however Vivint folks cleared it all up. The fact that I can add other smart devices to the system is an added plus. Installation was on time and professionally handled.

I generally love their service, but they CLEARLY cater only to the Android and iPhone market exclusively. My family all uses Windows phones and Windows PCs. Yet the mobile website we are forced to use after Vivint "upgraded" their system so that Alarm.com apps don't work anymore are user-spiteful. The mobile website does NOT work well at all in a browser and, obviously doesn't support the features the apps do. Their newest version of the smart panel is not very good and is very slow to respond to screen touch. The user experience of the panel's dashboard is not very good, either. Sadly, when we've remarked about our issues with the website they tell us that they don't support Windows.

I've been with Vivint for about 7 to 10 years now. I was with them before they change the name to Vivint, I think it was APEX or something. But, fortunately I never had a break in or needed emergency assistance. I'm a little concern of the negative comments being left. In my experience with Vivint, I have nothing but positive review of them. I'm quite satisfied with the service and have no complaints.

Great Company! We have never had any type of home security and we love the protection we get through VIVINT. We had a great installer and have had great customer service. The people we have dealt with through purchasing and installing were very knowledgeable and nice. We have had it for almost three months and would recommend it to everyone.

I have had this service for about 3 years and have had great customer service. I've had a couple of false alarms where I accidentally set off the system. I got an instant call on my panel and on my cell phone. Issue resolved immediately- Had a key fob break, replaced N/C. Have been happy with service, and product. Not sure why so may bad reviews.

We have had Vivint for 4 yrs. It is easy to operate with the app. We only had one problem with the display panel but was able to rectify it with a phone call. We have only had accidental alarms set off but was immediately contacted through the panel to check our status. Very happy with Vivint.

I have had nothing but good service from this company. I had my cameras taken out and was credited the cost.( Nothing wrong with the cameras I just didn't use them). I had my outside signs replaced because the color faded. My smoke detectors have gone off several times and the" Vivint" monitoring team responded from the wall speaker box making sure we were ok. The premiums are comparable to other security services in this area.

We have had Vivint for over 4 yrs and are very satisfied with their service. Have never had any bad things happen but did set our alarm off twice by accident ( Didn't get to it in time to turn off coming in our house ) and they called immediately to make sure everything was ok

We had moni and vivint came to our house and my husband thought it was a good idea to go with vivint so, the salesman said they would pay off our contract with moni so, we called moni they emailed us the amount which was $3,942.00 so the salesman said no it was to much money they offered us $700. Towards our contract with moni or cancel with vivint wihich I understand and agreed to cancelled with vivint so, the technician came and took all the equipment including our panel and other items that belong to moni ,next day moni came in to install their equipment back and asked for the panel and other items I, told them the other guy had taken them I called the technician from vivint to ask him for the items he said I didn't take them maybe the guys that installed your equipment took them and he would ask him when he came back from vacation.. so needless to say we ended up paying $200. To moni for the equipment their technician took.. send moni an email with the bill and they have not answered back... so be ware of the technicians .

Cons: Salespeople promise things that they have no control over just so they can make the sale, but that's probably everywhere. Overpriced. Pros: Customer service is usually really good. Free installs. Other: As long as you stay on top of your account then you won't have any issues. I hear a lot of people complaining about not getting a call about their alarm going off when they haven't updated their phone number to even be called. A lot of other similar issues can come up if you don't keep your information up to date. Depending on your location, it may take a lot of time for a technician to come take a look at your system, but the customer support can usually help you get it resolved.

Professional home visit followed by equally smart and cordial install crew. Everything works- the locks, the thermostats, the cameras, as expected from the app and the panel. Got what we wanted and wasn't pressured into anything more. A system had been on the list for a while, but I hadn't gotten around to doing it myself- mostly because of upfront costs and getting all the devices to talk to each other. Have been really impressed and would recommend.

I use VIVINT to remotely monitor a second home 150 miles away with indoor and outdoor cameras as well as indoor sensors and I also use VIVINT for my local residence, all of which have worked flawlessly. Customer service is excellent. Pricing is a bit higher than other services but well worth the peace of mind.

I have had several other alarm services , but recently got Vivint . We could not be more pleased, what a great system.Easy to use , accurate, just overall a very good system. I love the smart accessories , the video doorbell, the house shuts itself down at 11:PM , the smart thermostat. Just like I said we love it.

We have had the system for over a year in our house and my mother-in-law's. We love the doorbell camera. We also have the window break sensors and door monitors. We received a call from my mother-in-law's house that warned of freeze warning and we were 2.5 hours away and was able to turn the thermostat up remotely.

I have a alarm and automobile monitor from Vivint. This is set up on a family home. I can monitor the home from my phone. The camera quality is excellent and the sound is amazing. The vehicle monitor keeps track of the vehicles battery health and any concerns it might have. Also the track helps me to know where the vehicle is at all times.

Vivint has been a great company to have securing our home . The response time is fast. We have had several incidents of setting itt off ourselves and they are right there asking if all is ok. Also, being able to set Or unlock the door while away from the house is a feature I have always liked. We will be moving soon and hope to use them in our next home.

We subscribed to Vivint services the summer of 2021 the video quality is very clear and identifiable. I appreciate the ability to easily access videos from my front door/backyard cameras. The response time with Vivint is on point, I get alerts and notifications to my phone without issue and can check on my home without connectivity/audio issues. Vivint also includes affordable security plans. Highly recommend.

I really have enjoyed having peace of mind with my Vivint security. I know when someone is coming to my door a few moments before they reach my door. It reminds me if I have left a door open. Anyone or anything that crosses the path of the camera automatically records. Lets me know if I'm not home. Has Fire alert especially if I'm not home as well as being home. I Love my Vivint. Customer service is great. I appreciate there response to my issues, if there is one. I have had my Vivint since I bought my house in December of 2019

Our old service had lots of false alarms, with the system going off before we could get inside. No issues like that with Vivint. I have used VivInt for over 15 years. Their line of security is excellent! I love the personal feedback f rom their security agents is the alarm is triggered at your home. You actually speak to a real live person! Their cameras catch the intruders! Indoor motion sensors are very accurate! A newer feature is the different door bell rings for holidays.; fun! Customer service is excellent and you can always reach someone! I highly recommend Vivint!

I recently upgraded my daughters home security system (after many years with a competitor home security company) with new cameras and smart functions. Vivint was the home security company of her choice. Vivint security professionals were seemingly experienced and trained to assess my daughter's home, and design the best security home solution based on her particular need. Vivint attention to detail helped to truly instill my daughter's confidence as well as mine. The installers were professional, knowledgeable and they patiently showed her how to work the system remotely from her phone and/or computer device. Surprisingly, Vivint is a smart home security system where everything works together. My daughter and her family are able to control everything from everywhere on the app, with 24/7 monitoring and professional support. With Vivint my daughter's family and property are always protected and she didn't have to do anything! Vivint professional technicians came to the house and installed everything in a short amount of time, and made certain that every question and/or concerns that my daughter and her family had were patiently explain in detail. As a parent it was important to ME that this process was affordable, reliable, and secure. Afterwards, because of Vivint's professionalism, upgraded technology and price point, I'm strongly considering an Vivint upgrade home security system myself!

I am feeling much more secure with the added security if vivint. We live in a pretty safe neighborhood, but now I feel my home, package delivery and cars are a bit safer. The customer service department has been very helpful when I had to call on an issue. Wait time was reasonable and they did not transfer me around. They stayed with me until I received final resolution.

Our 2nd home (mostly a 3 season home) we installed vivint for our security there and it's freaking amazing! The clarity, no interruptions, or down times, no issues (this is in a rural area too)! We were able to get the license plate of someone who stole from our property and because of that they were able to track him down and arrest him! Customer service has always been nothing but stellar overall great company that we HIGHLY recommend!

They gave us a package that was tailored to us with the option to add things on later if/when needed. we since sold out home and purchased another and they were GREAT to work with in getting things removed from the old home and installed in the new. Once I went into my workplace in the morning and the alarm went off. I had never been told the code and didn't know how to disarm the alarm. The vivint guy called to check on me and make sure I wasn't breaking in, but I was so flustered and afraid of the alarm. He told me to turn of the alarm, that he didn't know how to help me figure it out and that he would have to hang up. He also said that the alarm might keep going if I didn't figure it out soon. I was very stressed. I wish he could have made it stop for me after hearing my situation and stress. However, that is a very effective alarm. It scared me ha!

Sold home April 2023 due to health reasons. Moved to small apartment. Vivint system already paid off. Vivint is still illegally getting paid through my bank. The people who bought the house are also paying monthly fees. For monthly service. I've filed a report with BBB. Next will be my lawyer. I'm 75. This problem Vivint created is not only illegal but a crime against the elderly.

Our manager touch screen system wont stay connected, both our sensors will not stay connected even after maintenance was made, and batteries were changed. We have contacted Customer service multiple times, and we get the run around, and no one willl come and physically look at what is wrong. Over all, not impressed.
