Guardian Protection Cost

Like most professionally installed solutions, a Guardian Protection security system requires little upfront costs and offers free equipment. All it takes is a one-time installation fee ($99) with prices varying depending on the home security systems package. Monthly monitoring prices start at $29.99* and cellular monitoring and remote access packages start at $45.99 per month. A control panel, motion detectors, door sensors, window sensors, and professional monitoring center services are standard, but video surveillance from security cameras is only available on more advanced packages.

Home Theft Protection Guarantee

The company also provides a couple of policies in the event of a home burglary or customer relocation. Guardian Protection's Home Theft Protection Guarantee gives customers $500 toward their insurance deductible in the event of a home burglary*.

Moving Options

If you move from your home after one year of becoming a customer, you can get a new system for your new home including 1 standard security control pad, a door/window motion sensor (3 sensors total) and 1 motion detector for as low as $99. High-End Equipment Like Doorbell Camera and Garage Door Control

Beyond offering most of the basic security and home automation equipment in the industry, Guardian Protection also offers advanced smart security devices such as a doorbell camera—the latest must-have gadget in home automation. This alarm company also sells a remotely controlled garage door opener, which most security providers don't provide. Other devices include smoke detectors, in-home medical pendants, image sensors, and a host of others.

Versatile Monitoring Options

Guardian Protection's monitoring services can be connected by landline, cellular, or broadband connections. This means when your burglar alarm is triggered, Guardian Protection's 24-hour monitoring centers are contacted by one of the three connections—whichever is the most optimal for your system. Many home security companies restrict you to one or two of these choices, so it's good to see companies like Guardian Protection diversifying their service options.

Home Automation with the Guardian Edge™ App

Guardian Protection offers home automation capabilities in addition to home security. With Guardian Protection's free app, Guardian Edge™, you have complete control of your home security and automation whether you are at home or miles away. Through the use of your smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can control and manage your home's lights, locks, thermostats, as well as your garage door at the touch of a button. You can do this at any time and anywhere. The app is available for iOS and Android, so you don't have to worry about incompatibility with whatever smartphone you may have. 

Guardian Protection's home automation not only adds additional security to your home, but it also helps you save money by reducing electricity and energy costs. If you're away for vacation or even away for the day, you can adjust your thermostat and set light schedules in your home to save energy. 

You can also arm and disarm your home security system through the app, and if there is any activity detected, you will receive an immediate text or email notification to make you aware. This gives homeowners peace of mind that their home will be safe and protected while they are away, and they will stay apprised of any noteworthy activity caught by their home security system.

Though Guardian Protection isn't specific about the states in which its services are not available, the company admits that its services aren't available everywhere in the United States. And although Guardian Protection monitors systems in all 50 states, the company only provides new systems in 20 states.

Not Available for Apartments

In addition, the company doesn't provide services to apartment renters (house renters are fine). However, this is not uncommon for home security companies. 

Limited Sensors

In addition, Guardian Protection only provides three door/window sensors with its packages (even including the most expensive package). Even small homes often require more than three door/window sensors, meaning most customers should account for additional out-of-pocket costs on sensors at the very least. Most home security companies will provide additional sensors along with pricier plans.

Lengthy/Hidden Terms in Customer Agreement

Guardian Protection isn't upfront with terms like cancellation penalties and warranty information when it comes to monitoring services. As such, prospective customers are strongly encouraged to read the contract thoroughly before signing. Remember, you're committing to this company's monitoring for three to five years.

Guardian has always provided professional, courteous, and responsive service. I recently updated my system, and the Tech (Walter) went above and beyond to ensure everything worked seamlessly. Guardian may have what are considered to be "lengthy" contracts, but I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I have had Guardian for 7 years & not had a problem with the service. However, unless I male a point of contacting customer service I don't really know if it is really working. A periodic contact would make my comfort level much higher. At best I would rate Guardian AVERAGE .

Whenever I have a problem, they have been able to resolve it pretty quickly. They have a great price. They were very prompt to call us when we were out of town and had a fire alarm go off in the house.

It seemed like it was the best deal, best price that was going on at the time. The people who do the install are very knowledgable and courteous. They ask if I have any feedback or questions and they're willing to explain it to me right there on the spot. Same with customer service - if I have any issues or problems or need to reset a password, they are there. Guardian Protection is very customer service oriented. They call me when the alarm goes off or I leave the back door open - they have a quick response.

Never ever take this one, you can have same features of security at less than half the price. They will be sweet when you sign contract and then you cannot come out of it in 3 years and you will keep paying 50$ + every month for 36 months for a foolish service you can get at 10$ in market. Never trust these people. Never. Hello Guardian Team - I know your standard justification which is one side of the reality I was buying my house from the first time and obviously inexperienced in a lot of things when someone in design center approached me and I decided to buy Guardian. I never thought that I will be cheated - market products at much less price. The girl who approached me told about the agreement and I thought if I have a bad experience I can return, but I was trapped by the time I got to see my house. Initially when I was sold the agreement I was told all burglary including windows will be covered at this price, but I was mistaken. When I got the demo after I moved in the guy did it for 10mins and I understood it was a big mistake buying this. I know you will not do anything to this email but trash it but I work with IBM and I tell all my friends who buy house not to buy Guardian security as it is a money making trap. Issue is a. The way in which your sales person approach and provide information - seems to a new homeowner that they provide something exceptional - Please ask your sales person to say that similar products are available in the market and you can install this later also when you wish - (you normally play the trick here by not saying this) b. You should say clearly that this contract is for 3 years and has a lot of cost associated with infrastructure and once installed you have to bear the cost even if you feel it was not required. Agreement will stand even if you think market competitors are half the price - your salesman should say this while selling - you will not sell a single agreement c. Make aware of the customer of your product but demonstrate it and ask him to check the market for competition I would never have gone to you if you followed the point a. b. c. and now you know you cannot get a repeat business ever with your existing sell strategies Thanks Sujan Roy

Just bought a new house and we don’t even live there except over 2 weekends a month. First had smoke signal issues with guardian and the technicians could not catch that until their 4th visit and now having false motion detection issues from which the police were called several times. The manager Felipe said they cannot waive the bill and the only thing they can do is to bring another technician out there to figure out what’s going on. They didn’t care that the township was charging us money for false motion detector issues and bringing the police out. Guardian says we should pay for that! They didn’t care that I was woken up at 1am for a false motion detector that caused me to worry. They said oh well... actually Felipe said oh well. I would never use this company

Technicians who come to the home are friendly and knowledgeable in their work. Problem is they charge you an arm and a leg for something that technical support over the phone could have and should have known how to fix. Customer service and their supervisors are of no help as they too are not knowledgeable and are unsupportive. The service constantly loses connection and is something I have to deal with regularly, I never have internet connection problems with anything else other than the connection to the alarm system. How can I trust my home is actually being protected if the product they sell is low quality.
