They tried to sell me a lot of extra equipment that I might not need. The equipment that I got seems reliable. The one concern I have is that every once in a while, we do something stupid that causes a false alarm and they don't even call us, which makes me wonder if they are even listening.

I signed up because they were rated top-tier, and they were a little bit cheaper than their competitor. But, I've had some bad experiences and I'm locked in a contract with them even though I want to leave them. Everyone is trained a little differently, no one answers the question the same. Some people there have a little attitude, and I thought that was kind of rude. There was a situation where an alarm went off and they called, and we told them it was a false alarm, but they had an attitude about that. I use them on my rental properties, so I was hoping they could give me a discount because I have multiple accounts with them, but they wouldn't do it. I talked to 6 different people one day and not one would give me an answer. The equipment is ok, it's all plastic and the siren isn't loud enough. The battery loses power and won't keep the panel running. They're supposed to call you when that happens, but no one ever contacted us about the lack of power.

I love the customer service, and the system works great, but it was a nightmare to install and is incredibly bulky and ugly. Also, there is no way to mount the keypad into my wall or hide the camera chords without spending an extra $1,000 on an electrician to run equipment through the drywall and make it look decent in my new home. There is also no way to have someone from Frontpoint help you physically install the system (they can only talk you through it over the phone), so you are on your own. I have been in my house for 2 months, owned my system for 3 months, and I just finished fully installing it (with the help of an expensive electrician). I should have gone with a company who installs the system, mounts it, and makes it look better aesthetically speaking.

They are extremely helpful when troubleshooting issues. The one problem I've had is that the camera is very sensitive to fog, snow, and rain, so it sets the alarm off when there's any of that. Inevitably, I've had to unplug it whenever there's a snowstorm.

Their equipment is older. After I got it I went back and researched a bit more about what other companies were offering. I saw a lot of really good digital kind of equipment available. Frontpoint is still using analog so I really think they should upgrade. The monitoring and equipment are both very costly too, especially if you consider what it costs and what they provide. They either need to reduce the price or provide more equipment and service.

I went with them because they gave you the option to pay by month. I thought that was easier than what other companies offered. I ended up regretting it though. I had to install everything myself and now I'm tied to a 3-year contract with them that I cannot just cut off. If I'm given the chance, I'll switch to another company. I'd just rather have another system that lets me see who rings my doorbell as soon as they do. This one can't do that.

Given the research that I did, they were the best service overall. Customer service is good but not perfect. Getting it all set up was a bit of a hassle since there were a couple of glitches. I've had a lot of disconnection problems with the equipment, but eventually it all worked.

The thing was mostly attached to the wall but the cover, the one with the magnet, that fell off. When I called about it they wanted to charge me even though I had just gotten the system.

Need more camera options (Power over ethernet, outdoor ratings, 4k, night vision, etc). Need more monitoring equipment (ability to have multiple keypads, multiple speakers (if I'm in the garage I want to hear the door chime clearly instead of hoping to hear it over outdoor noise and interior walls)). I love the app. Would like true silent arming. I don't want to hear any beeps. I hate waking my wife turning the alarm on. Customer service is always nice.

From what I read online, Frontpoint was the highest rating company that had the easiest system to use, so I chose them. Installing it was very seamless, and I really like the fact that it lets me know if my garage door is open, or if I forget to arm the system at night. Plus, I can disarm it from my phone directly, so I really like it!
