I think it's very valuable having an app and being able to see through the camera's. Though, I don't think that is what sets Frontpoint apart from its competitors. Some of their technologies, especially on the slab fronts, are a little dated. They are very prompt in their response and are always very polite and helpful.

So far this works fairly well. I have had some issues with the technology of the security system. However, the response from Frontpoint has been very prompt. The problem is they have to talk you through solving the issues, as opposed to sending someone out to look at it personally.

Customer service is always so nice and so helpful. From the app I would like to be able to turn down the voice on my hub. I've tried to use the controls that come in the app and her voice is still so loud. I called customer service and they said they would turn it down but it never changed.

Frontpoint has been great (reasonable price and equipment as well as good customer service) but Frontpoint charges you to use their app to set your alarm, monitor security, etc. and charges $10 a month to use the app. What is the point of having a security system if you can't check what's going on from your phone? It's ridiculous.

The system, and the mobile app, is very good. This alarm system, like MOST other cellular/WiFi systems, is very specific to your place of installation. With my house having metal studs, metallic insulation, and numerous normal modern appliances, the system was worthless. Many false alarms, many unreported alarms. Who wants to be laying in bed and hear "patio door open"? You grab your gun and find out no door was opened. This happened enough times for me to get this system out of my life. Nothing wrong with frontpoint, just do your research on these types of systems before purchasing. SO many flaws in this technology. Go hard-wired, old school alarm systems if home security is important.

Frontpoint seems to have a disconnect between their sales department and their customer service department. I have been a customer since the early days and my equipment has literally stopped working 4 difference occasions. When I suddenly became 'out of contract" dates, I was sent to sales. TOTALLY inappropriate because I am a current customer and I was sold a whole new package. I felt completely ripped off. In contract once again, and the equipment died on me...once again. SO FRUSTRATING. The manufacture of the central box seems to have quality control problems. I will give excellent feedback to customer support for handling me. We travel a great deal and sadly, the equipment seemed to fail when we were getting ready for an extended trip. So, we were without service for weeks at a time. Customer service took care of things but I really had to hound them from the airport and than once again, remotely. I give Frontpoint a 2 from a technology standpoint but if your customer service hadn't 'delivered' I wouldn't be a customer anymore.

I had one motion sensor that was giving false ratings, but it went back and I have no problems with anything else. I feel secure when I am not here, it somebody breaks into my house, I know that I have something.

I would definitely recommend them. You can access home security anywhere if you are connected to the internet. They give good options for easy installation and I chose front point for the self installation. The equipment is average.

Their customer service is really easy to get a hold of and they walk you through everything. Honestly, some of the sensors don't work all the time. I would suggest they not make their contract a two or three year plan, I think it drives some people away and it is kind of expensive. There are cheaper ones with no contract.

You don't need a land line and the technology seems like it is pretty advanced. I have had some trouble with the home box losing connection with the WiFi. They were very helpful every time I called and they answered my questions.

They are usually very very helpful. I don't have to do a lot of waiting to talk to someone, they've always been helpful when I called in. The equipment is easy to use. I'm not one hundred percent satisfied with the level of monitoring. I like that I can arm and disarm the system from my cell phone. I don't like the fact that only when the alarm goes off for more than thirty seconds, I get a call. I would like to have a call no matter how long the alarm goes off for.

There was confusion in the beginning whether the online service and app were included in the basic package. I thought it was, and I had the app when I signed up. However, after paying, the app became non-functional. I called them and they added full functionality and the app. Great resolution!

I liked that I could install the security system myself. The sensors go off sometimes and I don't know why. Customer service is pretty responsive. They're really good at turning them off when I call but if I'm not home, it is kind of an issue. I ordered a replacement a month ago and haven't got it yet, so I am going to call again today.

I don't feel that the alarm is loud enough and they don't offer an extra alarm that you can add to it. You can use your cell phone to arm or disarm it and that makes it a lot easier.

Customer service was cooperative and helpful, but there was quite a bit of miscommunication about the systems capabilities, and the service didn't quite measure up to what was expected. It doesn't really have the capabilities as advertised.

What I like is that I get consistant notifications of doors left open or when the alarm is armed or disarmed. What it can improve in is getting installers to come out and install the equipment. Specially the door bell camera. Till this day it is not installed as my husband was unable to do it.
