The Good

  • 24/7 Monitoring and Service
  • CSAA Certified
  • Educational Resources
  • One-Year Warranty
  • Panic Button
All-Guard offers several home security services, and provides burglar alarms, fire protection, carbon monoxide alarms, medical alarms, video surveillance solutions, monitoring solutions, and more. Every security system comes with a panic button on the keypad that will send an alert to a technician, who will then reach the emergency authorities. The company boasts being there for each customer 24 hours a day, and 365 days a year. Additionally, All-Guard states that when clients call, they can expect to be connected with a representative usually within two rings, and calls will never be met by voicemail. Every All-Guard operator is CSAA (Central Station Alarm Association) Five Star certified. Operators are also fingerprinted, bonded, and have completed a six-week rigorous training program. Customers can enjoy a warranty that covers repairs and services in the first year of owning the system. Additionally, those wanting to learn more about home security can explore the many educational resources All-Guard offers. The company provides a variety of helpful articles, a crime statistics infographic, and a Northern California newsletter.

The Bad

  • Limited Service Location Information
  • Cancellation Policy
  • No Moving Information
  • No Pricing Information

All-Guard is limited in its service locations. The company's primary service areas include Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Lake County, Marin County, Mendocino County, Merced County, Napa County, Sacramento County, San Francisco County, Santa Clara County, San Joaquin County, San Mateo County, Solano County, Sonoma County, Stanislaus county and Yolo County. Though the website mentions that All-Guard works with clients outside of its primary locations, it does not say where. Clients need to call in to find out if All-Guard services their area (if it is not on the list). Specifically for residential monitoring solutions, All-Guard provides resolutions in Hayward, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, Sunnyvale, South San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton and Palo Alto. To cancel the security system contract, people must fill out an online request. Even by doing this, it does not guarantee the contract is cancelled. Owners are responsible for paying any outstanding monitoring contract amount, and any disconnect charges accrued. All-Guard's website lacks in proving the moving policy, and if moving costs a fee. It does not explain what technology and equipment are included with each security system, or how long the contract is. Additionally, the company's website does not include any information on system pricing, or equipment add-on costs.

The Bottom Line

All-Guard services homes in Northern California, and offers products like burglar alarms, medical alarms, fire alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, video solutions, and more. The company has its own UL listed monitoring center, and operators are CSAA Five Star certified. Additionally, All-Guard is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. However, the cons outweigh the pros. All-Guard lacks in providing lot of important information on its website. It does not provide any pricing information on systems or equipment. Additionally, it does not include information on contract lengths, or what kind of equipment each system comes with. We recommend looking into more transparent companies for home security needs.
