My security system stopped working not even a week after activating it. I have addressed the problem as soon as the panel stopped working. Costumer service requested a new panel to be delivered to me. It has been over a month and i STILL have no received a new panel. Although the employee who initial registered me was helpful at first, this situation has prolonged for OVER a month and I still nothing. In addition, i have been charged for multiple months (yet qualified for 2nd month for FREE) even though I am not even able to use what I'm paying for. I've contacted costumer service multiple times, and i don't feel like my situation is taken seriously or anything has been done to resolve this issue except being told "we've sent a request to the supervisor". But still no updates on why there is a delay.

Needs alot of improvement. Could have better customer service representatives. I'd like a call when my alarm is triggered not a text or email or nothing at all sometimes. Better security setups would make us feel safer. Better quality of camera's. Camera's are not good checking from the phone's especially at night time. Takes forever to load the app to even see the cameras. Camera's resolution is off jumps around. Camera's are not clear half the time. Poor quality in service.

Iffy at best!!! I have had issues with sensors not alerting when the doors were opened. I have had the panel go off when just sitting watching tv and alarm not armed. But the biggest complaint I have is I wasn't told that I need to register my alarm with the sherrifs department. I was fined for the false alarm and fined for not having my alarm registered. Really makes me want to do away with the alarm in all actuality.

Customer support is horrible and your ability to successfully ship any replacement parts is abysmal. We are still waiting on a battery back up for our main alarm panel. You shipped it once to the wrong address which you have done before on other items. I point out that you need to ship to our mailing address and I have no idea as to what you do next.

They showed up at my door saying that they had taken over the company I was with. They're quick to respond if the alarm goes off. But it takes forever for tech support, I had a problem with the equipment and they never fixed it until they finally called me back. The alarm goes off unnecessarily because the sensor attachment falls off the door. It costs too much for what they are.

Disappointed with the performance of the unit being able to continually monitor the door sensors from a very reasonable distance. The sensors keep disconnecting from the master station. Even after repeatedly replacing batteries in the sensors. We have been unable to reach a human being for help.

Well, to be 100% objective, the service provided while in use was Good. they responded promptly when things arose, and contacted us when power was out. However, upon my father passing away 4 months ago i still haven't been able to do anything about cancelling as the service is no longer needed and was told the remaining buyout balance would be required to be paid by the estate. I mean, i know its a contract but these are not previously provided actions or objects. so why wouldn't the contract be nullified upon death as its for future services that don't need to be completed. Seriously I thought they were just getting hate from a few outliers unhappy with the service until this happened

In The 2 months we started with Alder I have spent many hours on tech support calls. We had Brinks and no problem, but Alder could do more and charge less , the sales guy said . It was a 60 month contract not 36 months . It is cheaper but I have spent so much time it was not worth the savings . The techs have all been very patient and helpful trying to solve issues with false alarms and inaccurate information on panel and Changing sensors . I am very frustrated with spending so much time and I am Not sure the system will work with all the sensors working while in away mode . I’m very sorry now that I switched!

Was offered a home security system by a rep of Alder about a year ago. While the equipment, instalation sevice, and operation has been fine, the reprecentive was dishonest. No paper copy of contact was provided. We were asked to sign a tablet after represintive told uswhat was there, many key points were untrue. Turns out this is a 60 month contract not 24 as he said ( wife as witness) Charges applyed are way higher than web sight quote. Cancellation clauses were never covered,etc. Because Alder did NOT provide two copies of written contract as stated which is a breach of contract, and because rep. Lied to us, I will be turning this over to my lawyer soon. Regards David Creson

I was originally an AP customer; however Alder bought them out and so this review reflects the experience I have had with Alder. One. Customer service is sales driven only and not there to HELP a customer. My fire alarm/freeze alarm went bad, a week before I was heading out of town for the holidays. I tried calling and no calls were returned, I also tried contacting on their website. I never heard back nor wa there any follow up. So lifetime warranty of equipment and 24/7 service help was a LIE. once my contract was up my phone has been non stop calls about new deals and rates allIhave to do is sign into another contract! I even explained my past experience and this was met with no apologies or even a token credit! Another thing that surprised me is that when Alder took over I was not not notified; only caught the change on my bill! upon calling it was explained and I asked for new placars and stickers for my house, rep said they would send out right away! I am currently trying to cancel my service and I still have not been able to successfully do that simple task! I have called and left emails; now I start to leave stunning reviews online! Needless to say I still have AP placards and stickers on my house. morale of story do NOT do business with this company

My house was broken into this weekend. I missed the called from the rep but immediately called back because I was out of town. I took a long time to get a rep on the phone about 5 minutes or so. After reaching someone she told me they had to call everyone on my contact list and send an email before dispatching the police. Not sure why police was not notified after I didn’t answer. I thank God I wasn’t home but if I was it could have been bad with the time delay of Alder. The robbers got away with a 60 inch tv and a laptop. And they completely destroyed the alarm panel. I called to get a replacement was told it will be a two day shipping, called back to verify after two days now they say it’s a four day shipping after it gets approved of which it hasn’t been approved. I asked to speak to the person who approves and was told that an email will be sent to them. So I didn’t get to speak with higher authority. I feel very uncomfortable being in my home with no security at all. Looking to go elsewhere if not resolved.

Alder is the worst alarm system ever. I've been with them 2or3 weeks and my system don't work properly. They want me to wait 2 months before they send someone out to fix it. They guy name Christopher C want respond to my calls. Someone was supposed to come out today. No one showed up. I hate I ever i signed up with alder. So I will tell everyone to think twice before signing up with this company. They will charge you for everything. They said they wasn't going to charge me until they fix it. I'll see cause their word ain't worth nothing.

This company has problems with cancelling accounts. I told them I was moving and gave them my new address. After I moved I did not get any equipment installed. They did not even notice, but continued to charge me for the next two months. Then when I called to cancel, they could not have the grace enough to refund me for services that were never rendered. For a high tech company, nothing I experienced was I high tech regarding tracking customers and services.

We did not have a problem with Alder's monitoring. However when my 60 month contract expired, I canceled my contract both Written and Verbal 24 days before my next payment was scheduled. Two months later I have called 5 times and have been passed around to different "representatives" with no help to stop the transactions and to receive a refund of $88. They do not mind taking your money, but hope you don't need to cancel your contract!

This is the WORST security company, ,I have had this service for approx. 3yrs in that time I called them on several occasions left several messages about the service not working or having a defect,, Yes they called back but to NO avail cause they wanted to charge $40 for someone to come out to check their equipment. They try to Beat your brains out with all these service ' unseen charges' But this is NOT an HONEST Company!!reporting to BBB

The salesman was pushy, told us it was a 3 year contract when once you read the contract it was a 5 year with an automatic renewal that CANT be canceled in any way except with paper notification. My husband spent 2 hours on the phone trying to cancel before it renewed and still wasn’t able to accomplish this. We will NOT recommend them to ANYONE! We previously had Vivent and had a much better experience with them. If we get a home security system in the future it might be with them, but we will NOT work w/Alder again.

It is the first time, that I write a review. I am very dissatisfied with this alarm company, my reasons. I want to say that I am disabled so I receive a monthly payment. The salesman lied to me, at the end of the contract, he told me it was 1 year and it turned out to be 5 years. I tried to send the payoff of the contract because I can not get out of it, if I do not pay full, (I've been waiting 2 months) I made multiple calls to the Alder Alarm company, without any results. They are bad at fulfilling what was promised.

I am really upset that this company( Alder )didn't tell me that this freaking contract was binding for 5 years or else you will have to pay over 3 grand to get out of the contract!!! I really want to get out of this companies grasps because I had a decrease in income and I cannot afford it anymore. I don't want a lesser plan but I want out of this completely!

I was told to sign the contract which is 13 pages long and hides the 3-day limitation on cancellation on the 4th page and "Early Cancellation" on the 9th page. Neither the 3-day limitation on cancellation or the Early Cancellation portion were discuss as part of point of sale. According to ALDER I am now responsible for the whole contract (5 years @ $49.99/mo). I have a stop-pay on the amt. being deducted from my acct. and a neighbor and I are serious about this kind of excploitation of the elderly which we are.

We have used alder for the past 2 years and their customer service just sucks. We had called them on 2 separate occasions and they were supposed to be sending someone to my house to fix the issues but they never showed up or even called. That is very unprofessional.

The salesman said that my price was good for as long as I keep the system, but by the time I agreed to get the system, and signed the contract, it was only good for five years, So does that mean I have to keep them for five-years ?
