Foscam camera quality are high and provide me high resolution of cameras video. They can be easily installed wherever we want to and also it has helped a lot with recording with more than 10 days storage capacity.

I have had my camera for 3 years, and just bought two more. Never had a problem and they automatically connect after power outages. All these other reviews saying they are terrible has me baffled.

Further to the review above, we would like to clarify that Foscam UK does not nor ever has sold old stock as new. This is false and misleading. Unfortunately with some customers you never quite reach that level they expect.

I ordered 2 cameras from them end of November 2022. Didn't receive them until mid to late December. After installing one to see how they worked we had about 2 weeks before the camera started working only intermittently. Everytime we tried to access camera it would start loading very slowly, get to 60 percent and then say "time out" and over and over again. I contacted CS by email and a Mia Smith has emailed back every day with "try this, try that" and nothing ever works. Obviously the camera is defective and I want to return it and the one I never opened. Can't get her to commit to an Return Goods Authorization so I can return them. Stay far away from this company!

On 6/12/22 marked exactly one year since I started using Foscam. During the course of the year I learned my way around this camera and their service and can summarize my experience with the following phrase: avoid at all costs. I won't even attempt to write a pros and cons list because, honest to God or whatever, there are, literally, no pros, not from where I'm standing. Cons, however, are plentiful, starting with the fact that this camera is slow and semi-useless even with a subscription to their cloud service and borderline unusable without it because trying to view recordings from your SD card takes so long that you will just give up 99% of the time. The interface, both online, app and pc-based, is slow and buggy, everything takes ages to load, takes minutes to connect to camera, tens of minutes to retrieve recordings. The setup process is complex and uninuitive, just like the software, it is further exacerbated by the fact that the power cord has a 3" bulb that must be put through the wall prior to plugging it in. If the camera loses power all settings get erased, the maximum size of the SD card is 32gb, the wireless connection is weak and the antenna is bad, the picture is bad, video and audio are bad, the worst, however, are the "smart" features (subscription-based) that NEVER work right. Now the subscription they forced upon me is finally expired I will get rid of this pseudo security camera and forget it ever existed, after I repair the damage to the wall installing it caused. This is, by far, the worst camera slash gadget I ever bought and I will never, ever buy another one of their products again because their customer service doesn't exist, there are no repairs, they offer no help beyond selling you a useless human detection feature you don't need, I can't find a single nice thing to say about them, that's how HORRIBLE their products and services are.

These cameras absolutely stink. The networking capacity is awful. If there is any sort of impediment in the line of sight from the tiny antenna on the camera to the router the connection is extremely unstable. I just added another camera for the back of my garage and it works fine on my desk, 8 feet from the router. As soon as I put it in the location I need it, the signal doesn't get to my router because it is on the furthest back of the garage. There is no other place I can put that one. I have 5 others. 4 are about 95% stable. One of them is about 50% stable, on a cornet of the garage but not the far corner. These are just not very good overall.

I have had the same camera with Foscam for around 5 years. The app, video review, web interface and related software are all crap. They cant figure out why im missing seconds of images prior to an "event" on every event. I get an error message that says "sometimes your camera doesn't have connectivity" The wifi on the camera sucks so I had to fish a cat5 through the house to my modem. The only issue with connectivity that I have with anything on my network is the camera itself. It never gets unplugged, i have UP and DL speeds of 24mb & 485mb with no other problems elsehwere. Foscam wants me to jump through hoops and become a computer genius to port this, ip that, sign in here, sign in differently here, reset the camera thats outside and required a ladder, reset the camera again, change log in credentials and blah blah blah. Its a circus and i am over it. I demanded my 24hr 365 day cloud storage to be refunded for the remaning unused year though i should be asking for a complete refund considering how much labor and IT work I have done on their behalf, multiple times mind you, and the fact that for years now my play back has been plagued by the previously mentioned gaps in recording that are essential for reviewing. WHy pay 100% for something that doesn't work 100% of the time? DO NOT BUY FOSCAM. They might be cheaper and now you know why... just like TMobile.. you get what you pay for. Shop elsewhere, you've been warned.

I purchased Foscam cameras eight years ago and the model number is FI9900P. The NVR kit that is advertised as Foscam FN7104W and the advert does not indicate that the camera Kit is supplied with four old FI9900W cameras, which is just the same model with a different sticker on it. The specification of the FI9900P is exactly the same as the one I just purchased at 1080p and anyone would be under the impression that the cameras purchased would be more advanced than something I purchased eight years ago. The invoice provided for this order does not state the old camera model number's purchased, it just shows the kit reference which is disingenuous. Beware of this old stock being portrayed as new stock. When I complained I was told a load of codswallop. I requested a full refund and was told some rubbish about software loaded on a hard drive just so the company could keep £20. I have to say that a company selling old stock with new labels on it is disgusting and I have to let potential customers know the pitfalls of dealing with Foscam Uk. Beware as they make their own rules up for returns policy, for this reason, I will never ever purchase from this company again.

Absolute trash. My first system never worked, and their response was so slow they would not honor their warranty. Years later I figured they likely had their act together and I bought a doorbell camera on special. It turned out to be even worse than the original system a decade earlier. Zero support, no ‘live’ customer service etc. Just awful. I installed one of the big name brands (name is what you put on your finger to denote that you are married) and it was up and running in 10 minutes. Foscam is rubbish.

They do respond to questions. Picture (real time) not bad. Motion recording nt reliable. Zoom. Din't plan on reading license plate # or identifying faces. Playback of alarm videos awful...if it works at all. They have an online offer to take back Foscam camera (obviously they know they have problems)and replace it with a Amcrest camera. Contacted Amcrest they don't do it!

I got a foscam camera last August. I thought it would help in getting my home safe. I was wrong. The camera does not work and it says "off" probably 40 to 50 percent of the time. I contacted costumer service 4 times, they are very difficult to reach and they said to reset it, I did it, but worked a few days only. Following contact with CS did not help either. I m sorry I wasted the money with this camera I hope noone else waste money with this camera.

FOSCAM VMS WEB BROWSER DOESN'T WORK HALF THE TIME AND EATS RESOURCES. the APP half the time won't connect and the china based customer service sucks the have no accurate information and Nora C is impossible to get accurate info. Stay Away!!!
