Everyone is always so helpful and very knowledgeable about everything I've ever asked about. If the answer wasn't known right then, they would find out and get back with me. Usually very quick. The only thing I would like to have had was a larger selection of specialist for adults

The support system is a valuable resource to guide the patient through the process either via messaging or phone. Willingness to review surprise bills is comforting. Quick response by the support team for any request is crucial. The silver plan has fair coverage for a reasonable cost.

I am so glad that I decided to go with Oscar as my health insurance company years ago. It has been the best insurance I have ever had. It has been so innovative and has implemented practices I had never seen before way ahead of it's time.

I like Oscar as a whole but would like to see better coverage for physical therapy. I have a foot injury that needed regular physical therapy and even with insurance I was being charged $90 a visit instead of just a $25/specialist copay. Which means I couldn't keep seeing the specialist and still have an injured foot.

If you live in an area where Oscar offers coverage it is a good affordable option. They work with top doctors in Orange County and the app makes it very easy to find providers. They also reward you with $1 Amazon credit per day that you meet your daily step target which is a fun perk.

Oscar, like all modern health insurance companies, has its problems. Healthcare is expensive, and insurance never covers enough of the costs. But if you put aside industry-wide complaints about those costs, I find Oscar is pretty good in one big way that sets it apart from competitors in New York. They have excellent customer service who is very helpful at navigating the world of healthcare with you, explaining everything and trying their best to help you get the care you need. They make the service worthwhile over other similarly priced companies that don't offer such helpful service.

This has been a more affordable plan , then the BCBS, that we had for years, they have great primary doctors on the plan and a good web site, and other features. This plan seems to pay the doctors the same as the BCBS did, and I have had no complaints about the payment. As the cost if insurance is rising and the benefits are lowering , Oscar is a good choice.

My favorite thing about Oscar is that I'm always able to get a hold of an agent if I need anything. No robots, no automated voice, no long queues - If I need to speak with an Oscar representative I'm almost always instantly connected with a real person. They're always very helpful and very friendly.

The app is great; paperwork and reports are clear; and the drug coverage is excellent. I have no complains after about 14 months enrolled (though admittedly I haven't had any out-of-the-ordinary health needs). The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than five is the very high cost of the plan, which went up $100 after my first year, and is slated to go up about $140 after the second. (But then again, skyrocketing costs probably aren't limited to Oscar!)

Modern insurance company with fair pricing, good selection of doctors, and good coverage. We needed basic health insurance to cover our catastrophic needs. We also wanted reasonable pricing on our everyday health needs. So far Oscar has delivered what we expected. Their website and app make it much easier to interact with the company.

Overall, Oscar insurance is well run. Good communication when required. Only concern is their explanation of benefits does not list the service provided, any codes or name of provider. This makes it very difficult to reconcile with bills received from providers.

Able to find any type or doctor and any type of care right on an easy to navigate app on my phone. It's Wonderful!!! Able to book appointments right on the app even!

I really like the ability to have a phone conversation with a doctor. That feature has been incredibly helpful. I also enjoy the concierge team who help me navigate my medical care. It has been good being able to schedule specialist appointments directly too. So far the price is Ok as well. All that and a critical mass of providers who take Oscar make it great for our family.

Oscar provides a competitively priced insurance for the New York market, which is widely accepted with multiple pcp and specialists. Additionally, their digital platform allows you to speak with a dedicated concierge team and medical professionals on demand for minor inquiries, which are both time saving and very efficient, as well as helping you save on the co-pays with the doctors.

removing gym reimbursement without notice is not right to your members. Replacing with steps, while it comes close to rewards, it is a lower dollar amount rewarded, and you increase the required steps once you hit that particular goal. while I understand that Oscar is in it for profits, this will hurt the bottom line of the company. While steps are important, there are other forms of exercise which are also just as important, for instance swimming and bicycling. Both are activities which I engage in and now will not be entitled to reimbursement. Sad that you are really no providing encouragement to good health but rather looking to not only increase the bottom line, but also to gather data on your members. Shame.

Hi j, we're sorry to hear you feel this way, but we appreciate the feedback and have sent it to our product team for review. Previously, gym reimbursements required documentation to be submitted and reviewed. We wanted to create a program that would be more convenient for our members, so we introduced Step Tracking so members could continue to receive rewards for staying active. The program makes it easy for members to monitor and meet their step goals daily, and cash out for an Amazon Gift Card at any time directly from the Oscar app. If you have questions or would like to share additional feedback you can reach us at 855-OSCAR-55 or by sending a secure message from your account or the app.

With Oscar, I can have a Doctor call me back in 10 mins or less AND they prescribe/refill medication. That's huge for me! And when I do need to see a doctor IRL, I can ping my rep there directly and he finds me the best doctor for me, close to work. I know its pricey but its still cheaper than everyone else and they are totally worth it.

I've had a very good experience with Oscar but nervous now because 3 doctors have dropped Oscar and I'm having a hard time finding new doctors who take the insurance...its making me uneasy now. I went to a specialist in Oscars plan but then I got a bill for over $700. from Oscar. They (Oscar) said "one of the doctors 3 office locations was not medically covered" yes, I said "the doctors location of his office" and I should have know that info prior to seeing the doctor.,,in other words, if I saw the doctor at one of the other 3 locations, I would be covered...crazy! The specialist dropped Oscar and released me of any responsibility of payment and ate the loss...isn't that a shame that Oscar stiffed the specialist and me as well because I would have had to pay that bill.

They were good 3 years ago but not now. I've been trying for over 6 months to get a colonoscopy scheduled, and have given up at this point. They post a list of supposedly in-network gastroenterologists, but I've contacted all of them (I'm in Dallas) and none of them would schedule me. Various reasons, but it's starting to feel like a blatant scam at this point. Fortunately I'm going to a luncheon today sponsored by Humana so I will probably be switching to them when open enrollment begins in a couple of weeks.

The WORST Health Insurance company I have ever been with. in all cases of claims and prior approvals and not counting who actually takes this insurance OSCAR has shown to me that they do not know how to manage the care of its members. One hand does not know what the other hand is doing. In two different cases with different doctors and medical facilities OSCAR claimed they never recived any paperwork from either on every single step of the process. EVERY person I dealt with from each Physician's office had the same issue. I take this as OSCAR's attempt to create a log jamb to delay claims and payouts. In fact, OSCAR Approved a venue for surgery and then later after the surgery refused to pay for it stating they never approved it causing a 6 month delay in recieving a $6,000 refund for a deposit I had to make to get the surgery. As a consumer and as a patient I would sugget that we the people of the united states of america stop the decline of our institutions and healthcare syatem by not relying on our leaders (poor choice of words) in congressto do something about it. We must gather together and PROTEST companies like this whose only goals are dollars over lives.

The app is nice and is very straightforward in usability. However. The reason it is simple is because the network is extremely limited. I was hoping the virtual healthcare feature would save me, but most care they wouldn't touch without an in person visit. ADDITIONALLY , even though my plan covered virtual care completely, they still are trying to charge me for the provider that reached out to me via their virtual care app, claiming it to be out of network. A real mess. And yet another reason to have socialized medicine.

First time I’ve had Oscar and won’t ever again. They give you a database in which to choose in network providers. No problem. I pick one, make an appointment, get seen and then Oscar won’t lay because it’s out of network. Or the facility is out of network even though that’s where the doctor, who IS in network sees patients? I have NEVER had to check not just the doctor. But now also his facility? Who k it’s to do that? If you show them on your list from which to choose why wouldn’t you also show which facilities are in network with the doctor? Don’t bother telling me to send an email to reviews. I already did that to file a grievance and guess what? They found in THEIR favor, big shock. Can’t wait for open enrollment.

Pro: Specialist copay is reasonable and (so far) my specialist is in network. Con: Prescriptions not covered unless I either a) get them prescribed from an Oscar virtual dr visit, or b) have my specialist doctor (cardiologist) upload all my records and get approval for the drug. It appears Oscar does not like to cover routine meds like high blood pressure meds and anticoagulants despite me having valid prescriptions. So I will continue to pay out of pocket until later this year when I'm eligible for Medicare. And NO, Oscar, I will NOT be selecting one of your Medicare plans.

Before I signed up for Oscar I asked Oscar if my doctor was part of their network and was told he was. My doctor thought he was. I went to my PCP and then got an EOB with a denial of coverage saying he was out of network...WHAT!! I call and ask WTF they told me he is out of network at that location. UMMMM thats his only location so again WTF. Doctors office was saying the same thing WTF apparently they did this to everyone in his office with Oscar. Now I need an MRI to see if a breast implant I got 13 years ago after a mastectomy is leaking and causeing my recent pain. Today I got a letter saying they need more info like last mammogram and ultra sound. I had a bilateral mastectomy 13 years ago there is no mammogram. So now I have to wait up to 2 weeks for their doctor to decide if an MRI is necessary. How is their doctor who did not see me suppose to figure out what my doctor that did see me is correct in ordering an MRI. In the meantime I can sit and wait...cuz they sure as hell don't care about me. I can't wait until December when I can get rid of this crappy insurance company.

The app is convenient, the concierge team is very polite and helpful (even though it can take days to receive a reply to a query posted on the weekend), and the co-pays and monthly premiums are competitively priced. The in-network Dr.s are often far away and a relatively small number of drugs are Tier 1a.
