Cigna denies claims and will never preauthorize any test without you and your doctor jumping through hoops to get one approved. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST INSURANCE A PERSON CAN HAVE. I am honestly surprised dr offices still accept this horrible insurance.

Cigna has the worst phone system and Billing Department. I set up auto-pay with their Billing department four times, and it still does not work correctly. Employees don't care. I was promised a callback. I had never dealt with such incompetence. I need to find a more competent Dental Company.

My husband has had Cigna insurance twice through different employers, and each time their premiums are so high that he hasn't been able to add me to it. Not to mention that Cigna barely covers anything. I really don't know what it is good for?!

A very unprofessional and unethical insurance....they have been covering my son's therapy for 2 years and they now suddenly and conveniently decided to reject it using a false justification with no medical ground. Unacceptable and really the last thing you need when having a kid with an acute condition.

My Orthopedic Physician suggested Back Surgery for for a multiple reasons. I am new to Cigna and I’ve heard nothing but nightmare stories regarding this company. Not only reading reviews but I’m the news. I regret my company left Blue Shield for this Low Budget Insurance Co. DO NOT SELECT THEM FOR YOUR INSURANCE NEEDS not even for Medicare.

Cigna uses excuses like you need physical therapy for MRI when you have a herniated disc also I go to a surgeon that's in network he sends me across the street to a major Hospital get an x-ray and then Cigna says they're not in network it won't pay for it I have to fight tooth and nail to get any procedure done

I bought covid home tests and trying to get reimbursed is next to impossible. They tell you they will pay for them but when you buy them it's impossible to get a claim processed without at least an 8 hour ordeal. Extremely frustrating for something so important today.

Absolutely worthless insurance. Having serious heart issues and they have denied all stress tests. Also they pay 20% of the cost of a medicine I need to continue living. Leaving me with Over a $600 bill per month. What a joke!!!!

Having Cigna health insurance is like having no insurance at all :) I keep CONSTANTLY getting denied basic care that is included in my plan. Everyone involved with this company should be in prison for robbing their customers (who of course have no alternative options)

- Hard to find in-network providers that make sense for my area - Usually on hold for 40+ minutes to obtain customer service - Expensive, relative to other providers - Sub par service on simple requests, eg. still never received my HSA credit card

Cigna is terrible. They do not pay claims. they do not return phone calls. I was even working with a supervisor to get a refund for the bills I paid to keep my credit in good shape. Your jumping threw hoops like a circus dog. You've been warned. Do not do business with them.

Absolutely horrible. While going through Stage 4 bone cancer and in need of a CT Scan Cigna denied approval. We're talking about someone's life. My goal now is to make sure I get the word out to all the employees at the company I retired from so that they will know first hand the kind of company Cigna is.

Customer service was very rude, not helpful, and blamed everything on marketplace when marketplace had everything in order. The workers names from today were Maria and Shonta. Will be leaving this service as soon as possible. Do not recommend.

CIGNA Medicare Advantage plan is the worst experience. Too many promises but not a lot of coverage. Worst dental plan through Denta Quest, can not find a dentist in their network and Cigna did not help either. DON'T SIGN UP FOR IT

CIGNA is the worst insurance company due to David C. In a direct effort to boost his bonus he is dmanding a 30% reimbursement reduction from the largest hospital network in Houston, Memorial Herrman. David is personally screwing his 160,000 customers in Houston and he knows exactly what he is doing. There is a special place in hell for David C.

Couldn’t be worse. Their policy as to paying Medical bills is very simple and straightforward. JUST SAY NO!! They turn down everything. The best most accredited Doctors can recommend a test and Cigna will make you jump through 17 hoops and end up saying NO! So you pay for Cigna Insurance and you pay your own Medical bills.

Stay away from CIGNA. Do not take my word for it, Google CIGNA LTD Complaints. The CEO and Executives are GREEDY PIGS. All they care about is the stockholders and the PIGS at the top. Spread the word to family, friends, coworkers, social media sites to hopefully hit CIGNA in the purse strings by reducing the premiums they collect.

In years of experience with United Health Care and Oxford, my experience with Cigna has been absolutely terrible. Cigna has the worst pay out ratio, the highest rejection levels, and the most frustrating exclusions. I would never pick Cigna if not for the mandatory choice of my employer. Terrible quality - there are many superior insurers.

Basic women's preventive procedures are not covered - I'm paying out of my deductible, which is OUTRAGEOUS! Also, they will not allow more than 30 day supply of any medication. In my 40+ years, this is the absolute worst health insurance I've ever had. Really disappointed that my employer switched from United Healthcare.

The worst health insurance. They deny most procedures doctors apply for. They used cheap labs to process your blood samples which takes a long time for you to get the result. They spend lots of money, customers' money, on TV ads, trying to attract innocent customers. They collect customers' money and deny their benefits.

They set a limit on how much needed medication they will pay for a patient in a month. Their rules are rigid, even with a doctor sending them a letter, explaining a covered procedure.

There are some Cigna's that are great. We recently changed co Obie's and the old policy was great. I loved it. One of the best insurances I've ever had and I've had some good ones. But the new company's insurance is awful. By far the worst insurance I've ever had.

Having to interact what Cigna calls "customer service" is difficult, time-consuming and draining. And given their dishonest inefficiency, every claim has to be followed up manually. Avoid at all costs. Ask your employer to switch. And vote for whichever candidate will put these parasitical companies out of business.

I only make $24,000 a year. $3,600 of that goes to the annual Cigna premiums and I have a $6000 deductible and that's through my employer plan! Can you say WORTHLESS?? The Cigna plan is to steel as much as they can per month and discourage you from using it with a hulk sized deductible. Bottom line is they are thieves.

We paid more than $20,000 a year to this company but our plan only paid less than $2,000 for our visits in year 2017, they applied as much as they could to the deductibles/copays. Their stock share price keep increasing all these years and now it's rocket high, think about how much money they made on us every year.

I feel like the health insurance plans offered to me by my employer from Cigna were not as good as I've had in the past. The high deductible plan was REALLY high, and my normal pills I took daily weren't covered. But the customer service helped me as much as they could and walked me through where I needed to look/go to fix my problems.

I have been dealing with a Cigna problem for the past year. It hasn't been corrected and it is a Cigna issue. I continue to deal with the problem. My husband's company is now switching insurance providers because it has been such a frustrating issue. He is an executive at the company and there are currently over 200 employees (and growing, they just had their series A capital raise). I honestly wish you could contact me about this. It is not resolved and I have had Cigna insurance for years prior to this without an issue.

I would give Cigna zero stars if it were possible. Cigna gave me the run around for 9 months following a medical procedure that was covered by my insurance. They continued to reject my claims even though everything was covered and had been verified previous to treatment. Only after threatening legal action did they fulfill their end of the terms. The customer service was less than helpful and I was given incorrect and different information every time I called, resulting in confusion and a longer time to get my claims settled. I will never use Cigna again.
