Lindon Farms is a brand branched off of “The Ready Project” with a unique monthly food storage auto-shipment program. The Good

  • Purchase Options
  • Discounts

Purchase Options

The sole aspect that sets this company apart is the delivery of food storage on a monthly auto-shipment program. Each month customers receive a unique storage kit set ranging from entrées to soups and desserts. For example, one month will include soups and vegetables, another will include an assortment of breakfast items, and the next will have an assortment of entrées and sides. There are a total of seven storage kits in this program and, by enrolling, customers receive free shipping.

All meals meet the daily 2000 calorie requirement and many products have a 25-year shelf life.

Not everyone wants to be tied to a monthly auto-ship program, which is why Lindon Farms also offers products in a la carte one-time purchase packaging. Products include entrées, vegetables, fruits and freeze dried storage kits.

Discounts

Lindon Farms sells as little as a seven-day food storage option and up to a three-year supply for one person. Prices are fair with a 360 serving option coming in around $432, whereas some competitors with the same serving size are priced close to $750. Another aspect to consider if trying to save some money is to join the email newsletter list. By doing so, shoppers receive an automatic 25% discount on their first order.

The Bad

  • Product Limitations
  • Lack of Educational Materials

Product Limitations

This company offers such an assortment and variety of fruits, however, we would like to see more of a vegetable and bean product line incorporated into their product list, as well as more meat options. It seems that back in 2013 Lindon Farms offered these options (which were USDA approved), but have since removed them from the product list.

Lack of Educational Materials

Educational resources nowhere to be found on the corporate website, though the company does use social media as a source of emergency and food storage education.

The Bottom Line

Being that this company brand is focused on auto shipment, it may not be for everyone. But those seeking the convenience of these kinds of programs may be delighted to have an array of high-quality options shipped straight to their door without the hassle of having to re-order.

However, reviews reveal overwhelmingly negative experiences with the company's customer service, so proceed with caution.
