I liked how National debt relief was able to reach deals with two of my creditors in a timely manner, reducing the overall debt amount significantly and paying a much lower amount for the loans than what I originally owed.

While I’m happy that I’m getting my debt resolved I’m not happy with the process. So an example I have a cc with 5286 enrolled debt I got a settlement offer from NDR for approximately $ so of course I accepted the deal. What they don’t tell you is that the fees and services cost roughly the same as the settlement so approx $1400 in fees and when the progress for paying that debt comes out they are paying Capital One $30 a month while they take there fee at $400 a month for 3-4 months then they bump it up to $80 a month until the debt is paid off. I understand that NDR is a business and they have to make money but they should put more towards the debt and less towards their own pockets or at least 50/50. It was not explained or in clear detail until after the settlement was approved.

Well, we set up the Payments to be deducted from my checking account but the Credit Card companies are still trying to contact me. I thought NDR would contact them and close my account and tell them that NDR is now in charge of all my debt.

They did in fact inform me from the beginning that it would take a while before any agreements may be made but I was getting worried because there was no communication from them. I watched as my balances riser on my credit cards with no idea what was happening. I would call and speak with a representative and the answer give was "it takes awhile". I didn't know they only contact one creditor at a time. I am hoping it ends well as stated in the agreement.

Easy sign up and great pep talk, then 4 months of crickets. I received a collection letter and emailed NDR and uploaded the document. I thought I was supposed to receive a reply within 48 hours but still haven't received a response. Obviously I was excited about hearing that one of my debts was settled but I still have a terrible feeling in my stomach.
