CountryWide Debt Relief provides debt consolidation and debt settlement services from its headquarters in Santa Ana, California. With more than 30 years of combined experience, the professionals at CountryWide Debt Relief have helped thousands of customers resolve millions of dollars of debt.

Founded in 2008, the debt relief company can help borrowers with credit card debt, medical debt, payday loan debt, auto loan debt, some private student loan debt, some types of business debt, and personal loan debt.

Customers who work with CountryWide Debt Relief first meet with a financial advisor to share their financial situation and goals. Then, the financial advisor identifies potential debt relief options, including debt settlement and debt consolidation. Then, the client works to pay off their debt either through consolidation or a repayment plan, which usually takes 12 to 48 months.

CountryWide Debt Relief employs a staff of debt consultants who are trainer underwriters, customer service representatives, and debt negotiators. Those who are interested in working with the company can learn more by participating in a free consultation.

Flexible Services

CountryWide Debt Relief offers both debt settlement and debt consolidation services, giving clients more options than those who work with companies that only offer one method of debt relief. CountryWide Debt Relief can even consolidate debt for clients who have poor credit.

Cost

All of CountryWide Debt Relief’s services are priced on a performance-driven basis, meaning that if clients don't save money, they don’t pay a fee for the services they received. According to CountryWide Debt Relief, clients in the company’s debt consolidation program who make all their monthly payments usually save 25 to 30 percent on their debt, including all fees paid toward the program.

The Bad

  • Missing Accreditations

Missing Accreditations

Although CountryWide Debt Relief is an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, where it holds an A+ rating, it’s missing other accreditations and memberships that are typical of reputable debt relief companies, including from the American Fair Credit Council, the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators, the Financial Counseling Association of America, and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.

The Bottom Line

CountryWide Debt Relief helps borrowers resolve credit card debt, medical debt, payday loan debt, auto loan debt, personal loan debt, some private student loan debt, and some types of business debt. The company’s professionals have more than 30 years of combined experience in the debt relief industry and have helped thousands of customers resolve millions of dollars of debt.

CountryWide Debt Relief offers debt settlement and debt consolidation services, setting it apart from companies that only offer one debt relief method. The company can even help clients who have poor credit consolidate their debt.

The prices for the company’s services are all performance-driven, so potential customers can rest assured that they won’t have to pay any fees unless CountryWide Debt Relief saves them money. According to the company’s website, clients who enroll in the debt consolidation program typically save 25 to 30 percent of their enrolled debt, including any fees they pay CountryWide Debt Relief.

CountryWide Debt Relief is an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau. However, the company doesn’t appear to be accredited with several important industry associations, including American Fair Credit Council, the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators, the Financial Counseling Association of America, and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.

However, potential clients should be aware that the company doesn’t have several important accreditations that other reputable debt relief companies often hold.

I have recently received an advertisement from Country Wide Debt Relief. I have a few problems with the advertisement because: 1. It looks like an official document, saying I had been sued, giving the case name, case number and court. 2. I called them (Country Wide Debt Relief) three (3) times, and after three (3) minutes and thirty-one (31) seconds, guess what they did! They did not connect me to someone as they said they would, kept me on the line, something! No, they hung up on me. 3. I looked up the case number and they got the court wrong. 4. I called who I was "in debt" to; they had no record of me. 5. I looked up the case once again but instead using my DOB, and first and last name, and there were no cases filed against me. I have a problem with this because this document caused me to have serious anxiety over being sued, when all of my credit debts are paid for and known. Also I am not the person getting sued. This is a predatory practice as many older people, and younger people, who are new to credit and in general the world of finances can get easily tricked by this. Because of this advertisement which caused me serious stress, I will not be using their product offered, if this is the type of predatory behavior they engage in just to advertise to new "clients".

During Covid, I was in so much debt due to being out of work. They were able to help work with my creditors to establish a reasonable plan so I was able to pay off my debt!

They listen and try to understand your case. They also get back to you quickly. but as far as debts you can pretty much do on your own what they can do without spending money.
