TracFone does ok with respect to being a company that provides cellular service at a reasonable price. If you don't use the cell phone much to talk, text or surf the web, TracFone is the right service. The service coverage is good where I live and with the high prices of other companies, am considering renewing my service.

What I didn't know was that TracFone was Straight Talk or vice versa. Until I just received my new phone and it says TracFone.I have had one of the BEST experience with Straight Talk. I will not go back to any other company.

I pay a single price for a year of time on my phone and days which is very reasonable for people who use the phone for emergency's or on a trip by car. It figures out to about $6 a month. Can't beat the price !

I had TracFone for many years. It was easy to topup my usage and I loved having the option for doubling or tripling your minutes when buying certain models of phones. However, having the double/triple value on your phone for minutes was the only way I felt I got my money's worth. The phones were kinda cheap, but not too shabby at the time.

They took my 90 year old fathers yearly plan away that was good until 8/12/2025 after his sims card quit working and he couldn’t remember two phone calls he made in the last sixty days and said everything in his phone log wasn’t good enough to verify him even though he give them his correct PIN number! Bought a lot from Trackfone over the years but will never buy anything again from those people! SHAME ON TRACKFONE

Returned phone because it would no shut off ; they claim not defective and after telling me I would get a full refund and they would provide a label they: did not provide a label; did not refund the full amount of purchase claiming the refund was LESS taxes paid and shipping would not be reimbursed; I have been a long term customer and will NEVER use them again. Everyone you speak to tells you a different story; reference n umber provided to me was not found in the system. They stolde $24 from me by decreasing the reimburement.

Do not choose Tracfone. I’ve had tracfone for about 2 years as an emergency phone. I purchased a one year service card and had plenty of minutes, texts, and data and they turned off my service twice. The first time they said I had to change phone numbers so I did and then they turn my set off again 2 months later. I have 6months of service left. I called them they say they don’t see anything on my account. They didn’t try to help or resolve my issue after being on the phone for hours and being hung up on. I have proof of my purchase but still no service. Run from these crooks!

When I renewed my service plan online, I noticed that they tax me at a rate of 8%. I reside in Delaware County, Pa. The tax rate is 6%. I attempted to call customer service but that was a waste of time. I then went online to chat with a rep named Marjorie, she was as rude as can be, when I informed her what happened. It may seem like a small amount to one customer, but if they do this to everyone, a Class Action lawsuit should be considered. When you checkout please check the tax amount on your purchases.

Website and account is virtually impossible to use from the ACTUAL LGL58 TRACFONE I bought from THEM and only able to navigate from a metro pcs 10 year old phone I keep in a junk drawer. Customer service is only good for incurring stress as the representatives are untrained in anything past adding airtime. I only keep it because it's cheapest around ... I guess I'm getting what I paid for.

I used to use Straight Talk, which is part of Trac Fone. They were a nightmare!!!! Their customer service was horrible!!!!! If you changed to a different phone or changed your phone number, it would take around 24 hours for the changes to take effect, often leaving me without a phone at all. Straight Talk claims that you can earn points to use towards things, like purchasing minutes. But there are too many restrictions and strings attached that it's just not worth it!!!! I like how cheap they were but the headache and nightmare dealing with customer service isn't worth it at all!!!!

I rarely use my cell phone. I like the fact that I can pay $125 a year for service which gives me a lot of minutes of use,too. Then, i can purchase more talk or text time as I need it, if I need it at all!

we had 2 tracfones & 1 virgin mobile phone. my wife tried to change her virgin phone number over to tracfone & now they have both phones screwed up. never could get the one tracfone to work , so we canceled the wife's phone with the virgin number & now my phone will not show my balance. might also let you know that we lost 220 mins on my wifes tracfone when she switched numbers & now they aren't showing any time for my phone even though I have 576 mins. my advice is to stay away from tracfone, they charge for everything including checking your balance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basic phones and basic service. Good for a starter phone for kids, or a good phone for elderly parents who don't use technology that much. They do offer more options now, but the service is sub-par. But are worth the value.

I have been using TFW Straight Talk for over 3 years or so and in a way the price is fair, data once in a while has its quirks and calls has once in a while an echo or static, but it has no contracts or hidden fees.

TracFone is actually pretty good for vacations and foreign country visits. Most commonly, it is easier for my grandparents to use because of its simplicity compared to a smart phone. I often take it with me on trips so nothing happens to my normal phone.

We have used this for my daughter. You buy codes for a set of minutes for text, data, and voice use. you can buy cards that will also give you double minutes. She doesn't need lots of minute for talk and text. It has met our needs.

We did this service for my daughter because she needed a phone but I didn't want her to have access to the web. You buy how many minutes you think you will use, But there isn't a way to track how many minutes you use so I feel like there was no way of telling if they ripped you off on your minutes. I always felt like we ran out minutes way faster than we should have.

I had to get a new phone and when I transferred my.number to it my data no longer works. Tracfone just gives me the runaround. When I chat with customer service, about half way through suddenly a problem occurs and they can't recognize my response and want to try again later.
