Not all extended car warranty providers can compete in terms of comprehensive coverage that American Dream Auto Protect covers. Depending on the vehicle needs, clients will have the option to choose what works best for their particular situation.

Roadside Assistance

When most people think about extended car warranties and what is covered, protection from inflated car repairs and replacement work typically comes to mind. And for the most part, that is what extended car warranty providers will offer clients.

American Dream Auto Protect goes above and beyond to provide that peace of mind for its clients. Roadside assistance is available to American Dream Auto Protect consumers, regardless of the plan a car owner enrolls their vehicle in.

Certified In-Network Mechanics

Through American Dream Auto Protect, any certified and trained mechanic that has been recognized by the American Society for Engineering Education can do repairs on the vehicle. A common complaint of users with other extended car warranty providers is that it is difficult to find a mechanic in-network to do the repairs. That is not the case with American Dream Auto Protect as any ASEE-certified mechanic qualifies and is in-network.

Provider Benefits

The features and services available through American Dream Auto Protect set the company apart from the competition. Customers who enroll in an extended warranty program through American Dream Auto Protect can take advantage of the following benefits:

  • Transferable — A vast majority of American Dream Auto Protect contracts can be transferred should a customer decide to sell the vehicle to another person.
  • Consumer-friendly service contracts — Regardless of the plan, American Dream Auto Protect clients will have access to a cancellation option, affordable monthly payment plan, free towing, rental cars, and a money-back guarantee.
  • Pre-owned and used vehicles — Some extended warranty providers raise rates or disqualify customers with pre-owned or used vehicles. That is not the case with American Dream Auto Protect.
  • Multi-car discounts — While multiple cars cannot be put on the same service contract, American Dream Auto Protect will discount monthly costs for clients who enroll multiple vehicles.

The Bad

  • Undisclosed Pricing
  • Make and Model Restrictions

Undisclosed Pricing

Even though clients can customize their extended warranty plan, there are cut and dry coverage solutions available through American Dream Auto Protect. These plans, more often than not, meet the needs of consumers looking for comprehensive coverage in an extended warranty.

Despite disclosing plan and coverage specifics, American Dream Auto Protect has not publicly released its monthly costs for these coverages. Other providers can give more specific pricing information, but those interested in what American Dream Auto Protect offers will have to obtain a quote.

Make and Model Restrictions

Not all cars qualify for warranties available through American Dream Auto Protect. While other extended car warranty companies may cover any vehicle (at an increased cost), American Dream Auto Protect has some restrictions in terms of makes and models of vehicles accepted under its plans.

Additionally, American Dream Auto Protect has a year cut-off date in terms of qualifying vehicles. Cars older than 2007 will not be eligible for any of the extended car warranty plans offered by American Dream Auto Protect.

gavel

The Bottom Line

American Dream Auto Protect provides a number of comprehensive extended car warranty solutions to car owners looking to extend protection measures. Clients who decide to utilize American Dream Auto Protect can take advantage of a number of protection plans that best suit their needs.

All American Dream Auto Protect clients can take advantage of roadside assistance services as well as enjoy access to certified in-network mechanics. Getting an extended warranty through American Dream Auto Protect also means that clients will have access to a number of provider benefits including transferable policies, user-friendly service contracts, and qualification for used and pre-owned vehicles.

Despite offering a number of consumer-friendly benefits, there are limitations to what the American Dream Auto Protect extended warranties offers. Even though there are standard plans available, there are no publicly disclosed costs so prospective customers will have to obtain a quote in order to get an idea of what these extended warranties will cost. There are also restrictions in terms of what cars qualify for American Dream Auto Protect extended warranties.

I have a Mercedes 450 GL, I bought the most expensive warranty and was told all major issues would be covered. After driving the car for 5 months putting about 10k miles on it . I started having a mis fire . Took it to a mechanic and he confirmed it had engine failure. When I turned it into the warranty company they denied the claim without even coming to see the car. When I threatened to turn them into the attorney generals office for deception trade practices they finally sent someone out. My mechanic clearly sent videos and pictures that there was serious problems with the engine . However the inspector said it has not failed yet. It’s been proven there is a serious issue. But they don’t return my calls. I have gotten a lawyer involved as well as the attorney general. No answer back as of yet.

Let me start by saying the customer service team is friendly and responsive. However, be cautious with this warranty company. I had a $3,900 repair claim, and they only approved $2,400 — even though I purchased their top-tier Platinum coverage. I paid $5,200 upfront for the policy, but when I requested a refund, it was prorated and I was charged $275 for canceling after 30 days. Word to the wise: ask plenty of questions and make sure you get everything in writing. Their Platinum plan has a long list of exclusions — nearly half a page of parts not covered. Be aware, stay informed, and I truly wish you the best in your decision.

I want to let everyone know that this company is nothing but a SCAM and Fraudulent operation. They deliberately avoid addressing your claims, only to eventually reject them with weak and unprofessional excuses. Attempts to escalate disputes with their supervisor team are met with indifference, and they respond with rude and dismissive attitudes. The service provided is absolutely unacceptable. AVOID this Fraudulent company at all costs—I strongly do not recommend them!

THIS IS 100% SCAM COMPANY! BE AWARE!! This company is completely unreliable! I was a subscriber for eight months, and when I filed a claim after my car was broken into, they took 35 days to respond, only to ultimately reject it. They also refused to cover my second car, claiming it had a pre-existing condition, despite all the evidence I provided showing the car had been driven over 2,000 miles. I’ve saved every piece of correspondence and plan to take legal action. They need to recognize the importance of consumer protection laws!

I was very careful in selecting American Dream and asked if there were any things that were not covered. I had a plan with a previous company that pick and choose what they cover. I was assured that was not going to happen here. The first time I brought my car in for an issue they said it was not covered. It was over $2000 out-of-pocket. Stay away!!!

My Unsolicited Opinion

Rated 1 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE! If I could give zero stars, I would, and I DO NOT BELIEVE that the positive reviews on this site are real. My elderly father enrolled with American Dream Auto Protect, and in my opinion, the entire experience was exploitative and misleading. Their so-called “Vehicle Service Program” is FULL OF TRAPS IN THE FINE PRINT. What Happened: Overcharges: He was promised payments of $129/month, but was actually charged $142/month due to undisclosed “fees.” Junk Fees: They demanded a $149.99 “deposit” fee upfront. Cancellation Penalty: When he tried to cancel, a representative added a $250 cancellation charge, bringing one month’s payment to an outrageous $325. Total Loss: Between January and August 2025, they collected $1,569.99. The Contract Itself: Caps liability at the car’s “trade-in value” or what was originally paid for the vehicle, which means major repairs will likely never be fully covered. EXCLUDES nearly everything that commonly fails in vehicles (airbags, CVTs, diagnostics, seals, gaskets, fluids, emissions systems, etc.). Denies consequential damages like towing, rental costs, or loss of use, leaving consumers to foot the bill. In plain language, the contract makes big promises up front but carves out so many exceptions that it provides almost NO REAL PROTECTION. Bottom Line In my opinion, this company preys on vulnerable consumers with high-pressure sales and a contract designed to benefit them, not the customer. What they market as “coverage” is riddled with exclusions, limits, and fees that make it virtually worthless in practice. ⚠️ I strongly advise avoiding this company. I have filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, my Attorney General, and New Jersey Attorney General (where they are located), and I encourage others who feel misled or overcharged to do the same.

If I could put a zero I would I am a disabled Afghanistan war veteran and I purchase this warranty paying over $2,500 for anything that could go wrong with my Nissan Pathfinder I specifically asked about transmissions they said everything was covered. Just last week my transmission went out I sent an claim to these guys and they denied it. They said they do not cover my type of transmission. On the contract it says it doesn't cover CVT being that I am not a mechanic I did not know CVT stood for transmission. Now I'm stuck with an $8300 transmission bill because this company lied to me. They sold me a policy that didn't apply for my car. I plan to sue the company! If they're doing this to me they're doing it to other veterans and other civilians and at the end of the day it's wrong it's unethical and is false advertisement.

Longtime Brandys

Beware: Endless Delays, Denials, and Poor Service – Total Waste of $3,500 I purchased a Platinum extended warranty from American Dream Auto Protect in December 2024 for $3,500, thinking it would cover major repairs on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee. Big mistake! When I filed a claim in May 2025 for covered issues like fuel injector failure, spark plugs, and throttle body service (totaling ~$2,426 based on dealership diagnostics), they stalled for months with excuses. First, they denied it citing "improper prior repair" without proof, offering only a pathetic $400 "goodwill" gesture. A similar prior claim (fuel injector #5) was approved easily at the same dealership, so why the inconsistency? I had to involve lawyers to appeal, leading to inspections that confirmed the diagnostic codes but still left the claim "pending" indefinitely. Despite countless emails, calls, and texts over three months, they've gone radio silent, forcing me to drive with reduced performance (4-5 mpg loss, costing extra in gas). Their contract promises coverage, but in reality, it's all tactics to avoid paying out. Customer service is rude and unhelpful post-sale. Avoid this company – it's a scam dressed as a warranty. Save your money and go elsewhere! Complaint filed with New Jersey Consumer Affairs Division as last step before arbitration scam is started.

Misleading Ratings – Please Check the BBB First! I purchased a $4,240 extended warranty from this company and followed every step properly when my engine failed. They delayed for weeks, contradicted their own instructions, and then denied my claim with a generic “overheating” excuse. A certified mechanic confirmed only one bearing failed — no signs of overheating or misuse. They charged $600 in inspection fees (even admitting one inspector was sent in error) and are only offering a partial refund with unexplained deductions. They're not BBB accredited, have over 130 complaints, and a long history of denying valid claims and misleading consumers. Don’t trust the stars here—do your research. Here you go the TRUTH of who these people are.

This is where money goes to die, I would not waste my money on this company. I purchased the Platinum Level coverage because to the total coverage that is listed, including seals and gaskets. I had trouble with my transmission the third week of April 2025. I took my truck to a ASE Certified mechanic (as the policy states). The mechanics diagnosed the transmission problem and American Dream determined that a complete disassembly of the transmission was needed to properly diagnosed the problem. Since this company would not pay for the disassembly, I did. This company ordered an inspector to come and look at the transmission, which he did after two weeks. The inspectors report was not sufficient for American Dream so another inspector was ordered, and then a third inspector was ordered and the third inspector immediately determined that the 1/2 Seal was the cause of the problems. American Dream informed me that due to the fact that that 1/2 Seal was not covered so they would not be covering anything to do with the transmission. Remember, I purchased the Platinum level coverage which includes seals and gaskets . I again reminded this company what level I had and again their reply was “ we don’t cover that seal.” So after 7 1/2 weeks without a vehicle, a complete disassembly of the transmission, three inspectors ordered , The AmericanDream Auto Protect still refused to cover the transmission. I would think very hard about using this company, this is where your money goes to die.

The scam of all scams. AMERICAN DREAM AUTO PROTECT is definitely a third party warranty organization that should actually be called AMERICAN NIGHTMARE AUTO PROTECT. They are a reprehensible company that seems to conveniently change the goal posts when it comes to covering costly repairs. I own a 2018 BMW 540i sedan (G-30 series engine). I brought my car to BMW of Silver Spring, Maryland. My car was diagnosed as having a hole in the radiator that needed to be replaced. A claim was submitted for the repair/replacement that was reviewed and denied because there was an open TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) SIB 17-02-22. The TSB references a leaking coolant expansion tank (S63). Now this is where the problem starts. • My expansion tank is not leaking. It is intact and less than 6 months old. It is a genuine OEM BMW part. • The TSB refers specifically to the following series engines that are related to the defective part. F90 (M5 sedan), F95 (X5 M sports, F91 (M8 convertible), F92 (M8 Coupe), F93 (M8 Gran Coupe), F96 (X6 Sports). My car is a G-30 series that is not mentioned in the TSB and my expansion tank is not defective. There simply is no leak with the expansion tank. The BMW dealer sent a written estimate for the repair that included replacing the radiator and the coolant. A video of the technician’s analysis was provided to American Dream Auto Protect and that information still did not convince the American Dream Auto Protect to approve my claim. I am devastated at the outcome because I now must pay out of pocket $2,700.00 to get my car repaired. I spoke with Ariel and AJ, and neither were helpful in resolving this unjust and corrupt decision. This business is fraud and should be investigated for unfair business practices. Please do not get hoodwinked or bamboozled like me. If you see American Dream Auto protect,………RUN THE OTHER WAY Colin Billett, Laurel, MD

Stay away from American Dream Because!!!!!

I am going to start out letting everyone know that I wrote a review earlier today about a customer service rep I had what was Sophia, which did a great job. But 4 hours after that I got an email from claims on my vehicle which is a 2014 GMC Terrain. Starting from the beginning, My Terrain was running fine in March and April with 149k miles, I put a new starter on and new throttle body and sensors and a normal maintenance and changed the oil as GMC recommends. I got a phone call from American Dream Sales Rep Edward B. which talked me into buying the best Plan which covers everything. This was purchased early April, ask me if wanted to start now or end of month, I advised to start at the end of April which was April 29th. Paid the startup fee and then next months payment. I was very excited and happy to find a good company to cover my car for my Fiancé' as to keep her safe if having car trouble. Now trouble with our Terrain started on May 2 as she was coming home with food and the car just shut off. Won't start sounds funny when trying to start it. Checked a few things then later on had it towed to the dealer to have checked out, and they advised me the timing chain had came off and that was the reason engine had quit. Now advised me i need a new motor or a used motor. Dollar value of $7k to $10K to get back to running again. American Dream Adjuster came to dealership and turned in information. American Dream advised me that repairs are not covered due to me knowing the engine was bad prior to getting insurance. All I can say is I am not a certified mechanic or a fortune teller to know my internal engine parts were going bad. We both were driving the car on interstate 70 and 70 mph speeds and no problems, very nice SUV. Now we have no car, paid out money for nothing. So here is my review: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I have never wrote a review like this and hate to write this but everyone needs to know. I hope no one else is going to get taken like my wife and I which are both on SSA and like all Americans, just trying to make ends meet and that's why we purchased this extended warranty. Please read some of the other reviews also which I wish I had. We are also going to take this issue to the attorney general of Ohio for bad business practice. Again my main concern is no one else is going to get hurt, find another company not American Dream. Marvin J

I took out an extended warranty on my 2016 Ford Explorer at the end of February with this company. I had to wait 30 days before making any claims. Last Friday my husband took our car to Ford because the air conditioning stopped working and our warranty was now in effect. While at the dealership they found our water pump also needed to be replaced. The cost of these two repairs is almost $6000. The dealership submitted a claim and we were promptly denied. The reason we were given is because there is a technical service bulletin on our car. The dealership told me you would have a hard time finding any car that didn't have a service bulletin however, this is not a recall and the bulletin has nothing to do with the repairs on our car. I have talked to American Dream Auto Protect twice as has the dealership, they claim that if there are any service bulletins on a vehicle they are not obligated to pay for any repairs EVER. Their reps were nasty and defensive and not helpfull at all. I asked for a manager and of coarse they were not available, he finally said someone would call me back but that will probably not happen. They had scheduled a visit to inspect our car then cancelled it because of this service bulletin. They were happy to take us on as a customer and collect our premiums knowing they didn't plan to pay out any claims because the service bulletin already existed. This is fraud. If the service bulletin has nothing to do with the issue they should pay for the repairs. If they were not going to cover anything on our car they should have not written a policy with us. This warranty is useless. I reached out to my local NBC station that investigates consumer complaints and we will see what happens. They are not amazing, this is a terrible company Follow up, I just got off the phone with Michele, a Resolution Manager at ADAP who contacted me because of my review and explained what happened. I had to go ahead with the work of fixing my water pump because it needed to be done and my car has been at the dealership for a week because ADAP wouldn't send an adjuster out to look at it.   She told me since the work was already being done there was nothing they could do. She also told me the claim was denied and they can't change the decision.  I don't believe that. Very convenient..   They offered to refund my premiums if I take my review down but no way.  I hope this review keeps people from signing up with this company.  My local TV station has already contacted me, so we will see where this goes.  Total Fraud!

After sending invoice of party which aren’t the nes I’ve been denied for , I’ve been sending emails. Ever since . Today I spoke with AJ , he hung up. Turn Frank , he hung up both after reassuring my acct and I requesting supervisor . The 3rd and 4 persons seem to know who I was before I spoke advised I’m handled in cldim and transferred before I could speak , this two calls hung up. While typing this I was on the 6 th call and upon picking up nobody spoke and line disconnected . THIS COMPANY OFFICE NOW IS ENGAGING IN OBVIOYS DODGING . This is low grade scam behavior . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY ONE WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT COVERAGES. THIS COMPANY AFTER 30DAYS DECLINED A COVERED REPLACEMENT ITEM DUE TO "PRE-EXISTING CONDITION" CLAUSE STATING THAT THE POLICY DID NOT BEGIN UNTIL THE SECOND PAYMENT OF THE PREMIUM WAS RECEIVED, THEN THE 30DAY COUNTDOWN COMMENCES. THIS WAS NOT STIPULATED IN THEIR DECLARATIONS PAGE. THIS IS A COMPLETE OUTRAGE ON A COVERED COMPONENT.

24-48hrs for work to be approved. I am on hour 48 after missing a repair appointment I made due to my "agent," which is not really my agent, not informing me of the wait time. Truck sat at the mechanic all day 48hrs ago. They'll take your money, but so far have given me only stress and hold-ups about repairing my ball joints. Dismal experience - I run a business and don't have time for this. American Dream: PLEASE MAKE IT RIGHT.

Horrible company! Scammers! They are no different than every other scam company out there! I purchased the PLATINUM plan back in August 2024. As of January 2025, I had paid them $2,840. I had one payment of $710 left in February. On January 22nd 2025, I brought my car in to Capital Transmission. They ran it through the machine and it came back with the code for a bad transmission, the "Nissan death code" as the shop manager stated. He stated that theirs no doubt you have a bad transmission. It took a day to get a response from American Dream Auto Protect. They sent out an inspector 2 days later. The inspector agreed with the mechanic that it was a bad transmission. 3 days later, I called to find out what was going on. American Dream Auto Protect re-sent me an email that stated, "After conducting a thorough inspection of your vehicle, we have determined that the [Transmission] requires a detailed teardown to accurately identify the cause of its failure. Unfortunately, this diagnostic process will need to be carried out at your own expense and will not be reimbursed.. This procedure is essential for us to pinpoint the exact issue and recommend the necessary repairs. We understand this might be an unexpected cost, but addressing this promptly will prevent further damage and ensure the continued reliability and safety of your vehicle. Please let us know how you would like to proceed, and we will be happy to assist you with the next steps. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation." So far I spent $2,840 for the top tier plan that claims it will cover a transmission, to be told that I have to spend EVEN MORE MONEY to tear it apart to find the tiny part that is causing the problem! WHY would I need to have my transmission torn apart?!? A bad transmission is a bad transmission, PERIOD! A clear example of them finding a way to get out of covering something that they CLAIM very clearly to cover. They refused to refund all of my money because I technically had the plan, which I couldn't actually use for what was needed. Plus, they charged me a fee for cancelling early. So, not only did I lose money from this program but I had to spend $5,800 on the new transmission. This company is a disgrace. Taking advantage of hard working people. F+++

There cannot be a worse company than this one. Don't waste your money, and go elsewhere for warranty. Don't believe their reviews ( that I've got no idea who gave them those great reviews because it's all a lie ) do your research, and you'll see for yourself. They'll refuse to cover claims, and will find a way to get out of fixing. Their terms in wording that they use in their contracts are contradictory, but worded in a way so they can get out of paying for anything. They say they cover this whole list of things, but they do not. And this site won't even let me change the " Amazing " at the bottom of this review. Far from " Amazing " more like " horrible "

This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is terrible—rude, unhelpful, and downright disrespectful. They will bombard you with calls to sign up, but once you’re in, they completely disappear when you need assistance. They claimed my plan was month-to-month but tied me into a contract without my knowledge and demanded a hefty cancellation fee. They also refused to cover repairs, claiming they were “pre-existing,” even though that was not the case. Their process makes it nearly impossible for service providers to help, and they ultimately deny legitimate claims without explanation. I’ve sent over 10 emails and called numerous times, but no one will transfer me to someone with authority. They refuse to respond and seem to have no interest in resolving customer issues. Save your money and avoid the headache. This company is full of lies, empty promises, and terrible service. Go with a more reputable company that values its customers and actually delivers on its promises.

Hi. Please be careful with this company. I purchased a 2015 vehicle, and after a month I got an extended warranty with this company. the 30 day period pass, and after an additional 14 days, my water pump went out. I had been driving my vehicle everyday. I had it towed to the dealership service department, and they told me that it was the water pump. they called my warranty company, and the first thing that this company said was ohh, this is a new warranty contract. The service advisor said what does that have to do with anything. They denied it saying it was pre existing, and I know for a fact that it was not, because when I got the warranty, I did not see any leaks. I Called the warranty company, and asked if something else happens like in six months could that also be pre existing, and they said yes. I told them that so I guess that I would have to pay for the warranty for at least one year before y'all start to honor it, SCAM

Beware of this company. I recently got a contract with them for my 10 year old van. The 30 day wait was over on August 4 and at that time the coverage was to begin. My car was driving fine on August 3 and the next day it wouldn’t start. I had a new battery so I didn’t know why it wouldn’t start. We tried to jump the battery but the connections to the battery got really hot. We put a battery charger on it and the charger began smoking. The next day I called to get my car towed to the dealership, I used my insurance roadside assistance as American Dream said they were too busy to get my car. The car was towed and it was 4 days before anyone could look at it. When they finally checked it they found it needed a new alternator. Cost about $1000. I had my dealership call American Dream and they were told it was denied as it had to have happened before the date that my coverage began on August 4. That it was certainly a preexisting condition. I understand that it was crazy that it happened on that day and told me that alternators don’t go bad in 4 days. The man was so rude and accusing me of lying. I tried to convince him that I was telling the truth but he continued to say that it couldn’t have possibly happened that way. I then told him I would just cancel my contract. He couldn’t care less. I promptly called the company to cancel. Just because some people try to scam them doesn’t mean that I had done that. My advise is to stay away from this company.

Will call almost instantly after putting your info on the website when looking for a quote, the initial salesman that called was very aggressive and even somewhat deceptive in the way he was talking to me about competitor options. Due to this I told him I wasn't interested and hung up. I have received multiple calls from a different rep each day for the past 5 days, each time making sure to tell them I am not interested, they apologize, say they will make a note and then the next day someone new calls again. 20 minutes after posting this I get a call from a gentleman claiming to be the manager of the rep I named above (removed) and asking me to go over what happened on the call because he is going to fire the guy, then asks me to remove my rating. I do not want a guy fired because of a review, its not the guys fault, its clear by the daily calls its a culture problem at the company. And as I am typing this my phone is blowing up with home warranty, moving and mortgage offers, they guy I talked to was obviously not happy I wouldn't remove this and has weaponized my information against me it appears. Stay FAR AWAY, if the guy that did call me was a manager he seems completely unhinged.

Cannot do a negative Star. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT BUY from American Dream Auto Protect. The specific repair we needed was specified in paragraph 14. Mark kept referencing Paragraph 1. They are refusing to make the $6,000 repair. We have talked to Nick and Mark repeatedly. My husband has an understanding of what the repair is. Mark became angry and indignant when my husband pointed out that the repair they were refusing was not the repair the Dealership had sent to them. Mark accused my husband of trying to do something illegal by asking if we could have the Santa Monica GMC repair technician clarify the confusion about what the repair was. Mark was either deliberately ignorant about understanding the repair, or just plain incompetent and ignorant. Mark asked my husband a series of questions to see if he understood the repair, then Accused my husband of challenging Mark's expertise in automotive repairs when he correctly answered Mark's questions. HOLY COW. They were supposed to send a "consultant" to look over the repairs. 5 days of promising to send a consultant, 5 extra days of car rental, which they are not covering past 6 days, and the "consultant" never showed up. We called daily and kept getting promises. The final day of calling, they said they would only agree to compensate us $500 and $210 for the 3 weeks of car rental they cost us. They are rude, arrogant, scammers. We were told there was not management above Mark. I researched and in fact, there are several levels. I have also researched and we are not the only ones they have scammed this way. Found lawsuits pending against them for this exact scenario. They are telling us that "Out of the goodness of their hearts" they will give us $500. These people are outlaws.

Bought our vehicle used and researched this company for an extended warranty for piece of mind. purchased our Platinum policy on June 3rd and representative, Rick R states that the policy won't go into effect for 30 days which is July 4th, 2024. Our family planned a trip to visit family for 4th of July knowing if anything happened we would be covered since our policy was active on July 4, 2024. Platinum plan includes trip interruption which also gave us another piece of mind. our trip was fun with no issues until we returned on Sunday July 7th when the A/C all of a sudden started blowing warm air. Since our policy started on July 4th, 2024, we took our vehicle in to get the A/C checked out. Service advisor submitted a claim after finding out the A/C compressor broke, but the claim was denied by American Dream Auto Protect stating pre-existing condition. Seriously. We buy a Platinum Plan to cover us for things like this and American Dream Auto Protect is "not Protecting". Yes our vehicle is used and in working condition, so everything is pre-existing so-to-speak with 100k miles. We do not know when items will fail, there is no expiration date. If it fails it fails and my active policy should take over and get us whole again. Emails and phone calls to Rick R with American Dream Auto Protect have not been returned. Be warned, if your policy is active, claims can still be denied. Will not renew with this company. They do not honor an active policy

Horrible company and extremely dishonest. Paid for full cover warranty on used Audi. 5-6 weeks after started hearing sounds from engine so took to certified mechanic. Auto shop on day one did everything American dream asked and did not hear back for four days. Upon the fourth day, they got a call saying they were going to send out someone to take a look and that would take an additional three days. Three days after that Came out went over everything that everything was fine. Look like it was in proper order then three days after that I get an email denying my claim. American dream says it was a prior existing condition to my response. It’s a used vehicle. Everything is prior existing condition. Through their amazing and factual scientific method they determine that it was impossible for the mechanical issues that I was having to happen within 30 days, which makes zero sense whatsoever. Spoke with “director” and they offered me little compensation $$ which did zero. Car has been in shop for 2 weeks waiting on American Dream and they have no actual facts to why they denied claim. Glad I did not get a rental because they determine if they will Reimburse you for that as well and that most likely would’ve been denied. Repair cost less than what I paid for the extended warranty. Do not sign up with them. Many other warranty companies with much higher standards and customer reviews to chose from.

So nightmare is the proper word here. If you want a business who practice verbal contracts and provide nothing in writing than their for you. If you like companies that practice immoral and unethical practice then they're for you. My advice stay clear!! From the mouth of their "Retention director, which happens to be the highest person there and will refuse to escalate to higher person than him" According to MR J as i will refer to him this country doesn't need to provide contracts in writing and verbal contracts held up in court? This is from a company who has the name American attached to them? Sorry, in America everything has to be in writing. My experience short and sweet. Signed up and never received a contract with specifics on terms or anything related to mileage and time covered for my specific vehicle . No vin number or vehicle info, no mileage coverage, no month terms. Not even my namer on it! Only a generic contract was sent to me twice. I called to cancel and the 1st retention supervisor we will call him Mr C, promised to send me the contract and again no contract with terms or info was sent. He also lied about dates changing and being able to cancel by a specific date. (Within the 30 days of contract date) Fast forward 3 weeks and i call again to cancel due to never receiving the contract with terms and because honestly I was diagnosed with metastasized Cancer and could not afford it and was in the process of selling the vehicle. Lo and behold i was charged a cancel fee and a prorated refund although i was within the 30 days of initial contract date. MR J said it wasn't by date but by time! Ant that since the contract had been done at 2:38pm it expired when i called at 5pm on the 30th day! Nowhere in their generic contract does it state cancellations have to be done before any said times. It only states within 30 days , which it was on the 30th day. After all out an hour back and forth I was clobbered with fees and a prorated amount of $325. $325 FOR PROVIDING ME WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! This even after mentioning my recent Cancer diagnosis which MR J non-compassionately replied that it was irrelevant to our business! This company practices bait and switch, unethical business , and provides everything verbally nd nothing in writing except a generic contract with basically stats part covered and not covered and their cancellation terms which they don't follow themselves. i will be reviewing the everywhere , and will also be reporting them to the BBB, as well as other business sites. You have been warned! DONT BE ROBBED LIKE I WAS. IF I COULD RATE 0 STARS I WOULD! PS: Look at the joke of a contract they sent me twice, attached pic.

Don’t trust American Dream Auto Protect (ADAP). I bought their Platinum extended warranty after reading a lot of good reviews online, but I later came across some reviews claiming ADAP wouldn’t pay for expensive (but covered) repairs or provide refunds for customers until they deleted their negative reviews, which would explain why they are rated so highly online. In retrospect, the salesman also used some tactics that seemed personable at the time, but manipulative in hindsight. When I called to cancel my policy, “Sam C” argued, trying to get me to keep it. He eventually agreed to cancel it and provide a refund and said I would be getting a cancellation email and should see the refund within 5 business days. A few days later I still hadn’t received either, so I emailed them and never heard back. A week later, still nothing, so I called and the person verified my policy was canceled and put me on hold while they called the Billing Department about the refund, while on hold I heard her say “So what do you want me to tell him?” before she told me to expect an email later that day. Later that day I got the email for the refund, dated for that day, not a week earlier when I cancelled the policy/they said they’d provide a refund. I even replaced my credit card after working with them because I don’t trust them with that information. A lot of reviews also mention the same names, so it seems like they use names like other companies use titles/positions… very shady. TLDR: Untrustworthy, dishonest, may deny service unless you delete bad reviews, didn’t provide refund in timely manner until repeatedly contacted.

THIS COMPANY IS NOT LEGITIMATE, THE SALES PEOPLE WILL PAINT THIS PRETTY PICTURE OF FULL COVERAGE ON THE VEHICLE, INCLUDING ELECTRONIC ISSUES/RADIO REPLACEMENT. WHEN YOU FILE A CLAIM, THEY MAKE UP EXCUSES TO DENY YOU. MY RADIO NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE MODULE DAMAGE AND BACKUP CAMERA NO LONGER WORKING. WHEN SAM SOLD ME THE POLICY, HE IMPLIED THAT THEY DO RADIO REPLACEMENT. HE FAILED TO DISCLOSE THAT THE ONLY WAY THE RADIO CAN BE REPLACED IS WHEN IT HAS NO POWER LEFT. GARY FROM CLAIMS TOLD ME THAT THEY DENIED MY APPROVAL TO CHANGE THE RADIO. I TOLD THEM THAT I AM A BLIND DISABLED PERSON AND I NEED MY BACKUP CAMERA FOR SAFETY ISSUES. I TOLD GARY SO SINCE YOU ALL REFUSE TO PAY $1800 TO REPLACE MY WHOLE RADIO SYSTEM, WHY CAN'T YOU RESOLVE THE ISSUE BY JUST REPLACING THE BRAIN MODULE AND BACKUP CAMERA? GARY WAS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. HE REFUSED TO HELP ME FURTHER, NEVER CARED TO ANSWER MY QUESTION, NOR WAS MY ISSUE RESOLVED. HE WAS VERY DISMISSIVE AND LIED TO ME SAYING THAT HE PASSED MY MESSAGE ON TO HIS SUPERVISOR AND THAT THE SUPERVISOR WILL CALL ME. I ALREADY KNEW THAT HE WAS LYING. HE WAS ONLY TELLING ME THAT JUST TO GET ME OFF THE PHONE. PLEASE KNOW THAT IT IS ILLEGAL TO REFUSE SERVICE TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEIR SAFETY IS A CONCERN. SOMETHING IS REALLY SHADY ABOUT THIS COMPANY. EVERY-TIME YOU CALL, IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME PEOPLE ANSWERING THE PHONES. I AM ALREADY DOING WHAT I NEED TO DO.

Terrible company to work with! They lie about the coverage they provide, they deny your claim and then tell you they didn't. They told us we would need to have the engine torn down more for inspection (at a personal cost of $2000 to us) and then after we did that they denied the claim for something that had nothing to do with the engine. They told us that they denied the claim because of an unresolved recall issue. When we provided all the paperwork that proved that the recall issue had been completed Raymond told us that it wasn't enough and that we needed to find the "right" paperwork. Then he told us that the claim was not denied but that we needed to tear down the engine AGAIN!!! Please save your self the time, money and frustration and do not do business with this company! They use fake Facebook profiles to bolster their 5 star ratings. They have stolen other people's pictures from Facebook to create profiles for fake ratings! They are a SCAM company!!!

Terrible absolutely terrible. I don’t even want to leave a one star. They’ll beat a price and pressure you into leaving a good review for them but then when it’s time for them to pay they’ll leave you to fend for yourself. They tell you any ase certified mechanic can fix your vehicle but no shop honors them. For good reason after how they treated me too. So you call them to find a shop and they’ll send you too one but they completely disregard what the shop diagnoses. In my case they could t approve any engine work until they know the point of failure and the only way for the shop to do that was to take my engine apart. So I had to put the money up for that work. The shop called the warranty company and told them they need to get an inspector out there so they know what was going on. American dream told them they need to have the full estimate and point of failure before they do anything. So the shop went along with the work documenting and taking pictures of everything. When the inspector finally arrived he just took pictures of my taken apart engine and wouldn’t take the pictures the shop took showing the timing chain stretched out and the guides worn thin. American dream contacted me through email a few days later telling me their not going to approve my claim because the head gasket blew and I drove on I continually used it with the problem witch is total bs since I’ve only had the vehicle for 2 months and turned it in as soon as the light came on. These people never sent me a declaration page and won’t let me see the inspection report. Their a total scam so spend your money elsewhere. And do more research than their bs good reviews they pressure their clients into wile their paying for what they thought was a good price

If I could select 0 stars instead of one I would. This company has so many fraudulent tactics to look like a legit company. They have stolen people’s facebook profile pictures to create fake accounts with fake names to create fake 5 star reviews and they are all from Ocean City MD. They harass and beg you to remove negative reviews, and Raymond W will talk over you and hang up if you have a problem. My platinum coverage started 9/28/23 and I filed a claim in October and the company said that my coverage never started even though my contact says 9/28/23 as the start date and check out the pictures below. They said i will have to wait until December 14th to file a new claim and when my mechanic did they said it was pre existing and gave him the run arounds. They also do not provide towing and rental car help, it’s all eye candy. I also requested to be refunded for all 6 months when I cancelled and they did not honor that either. This company is not a legitimate car warranty company, don’t waste your money with them because when something does happen the claims department will have the dealership or mechanic send over the diagnostics and invoice to an email that is not checked and they also never reach out to the mechanic/shop. I had to do a 3 way call with the dealership just so they couldn’t lie to me and say they dealership never contacted them. We ended up catching them in another lie with Raymond W saying it’s pre existing and his co workers in the claims department said that he wasn’t at work that day and we called back and got right to him. Unless you like wasting time and thousands of dollars do not be a fool to the promising advertising that they do it’s all a lie.

I cannot express enough how betrayed and frustrated I feel after my dreadful experience with American Dream Auto Protect Car Insurance. This is now the fourth negative experience I’ve had with this company and each time they refused to pay what I was due, in spite of the fact that I initially paid a premium of $8279.33 Recently, I requested an authorization for a pending repair. American Dream denied my request stating that they would not pay for this claim or any future claims until I withdrew the recent complaint I filed with the attorney general concerning the company’s fraudulent practices and deleted all my negative postings, talk about extortion. This company's deceptive practices extend beyond their insurance policies; they are willing to manipulate online reviews at their customers' expense. I highly suspect that the company is manipulating online reviews by providing incentives for people to write short, positive reviews to overwhelm the bad ones and compensating people to remove their bad reviews. Their lack of integrity and blatant disrespect for their clients is appalling. Beware of American Dream Auto Protect - their impressive online façade is built on false promises and unethical practices. I highly advise individuals who are contemplating choosing this company to explore reviews from sources other than Google reviews, as it appears they have the ability to influence reviews on that platform and others. I suggest checking websites such as the Better Business Bureau where they have 26 complaints, and Yelp. I will be, once again be contacting respective Attorney Generals and other governmental agencies , highlighting the fraudulent activities perpetrated by American Dream Auto Protect. Additionally, I will be retaining the services of legal counsel to pursue civil remedies through the court system.

RUNAWAY. worst company i've ever done biz with. If your car warranty costs 3k and u have 200 dollar in repairs for the life of the warranty they're great. Have any real problems. The kind sthat u need a warranty for they r a fraud. Told my repair shop they canceled my policy. Talked me into removing a negative review only to completely renew on their promises and flat out lied again. Following up with state AG and every consumer protection agency available as well as filing suit. Honestly never came across a bigger scam company. I sold car Warranties at one time. Should have went with the one I sold years ago. Fell for the lies over the phone. Lesson learned.

Real life account I had the most horrendous experience with American Dream Auto Protect. Their customer service is beyond appalling, to the point where I was cursed at and accused of scamming when I filed a claim. Instead of assisting me, they tried to bully me into canceling my contract so they wouldn't have to uphold their end of the deal if the bill was too high. Stay away from this company unless you enjoy being mistreated and scammed.

ADAP arbitrarily and without documentation has denied claim for service under warranty. American Dream Auto Protect sold services that it has failed to provide and done everything possible to avoid. There is a complete lack of communication and transparency. They use vague language and rely on verbal communication to lure people to purchase their product to take their money and fail to deliver. Business response: The business has done nothing but give me the run around. The claim remains denied, their "offer" was to refund $250.

Got a policy in Dec 2023, and was rude then but was cheaper than other warranty. American Dream didn’t pay my claim because I started in Nov 2023 and made a claim in January 2024. Every person was rude, wouldn’t let me speak to a supervisor for nothing. I made 5 different calls. The dealership I went to stated they wouldn’t even talk to her about my claims, but at first they would only talk to the dealership. Please don’t waste y’all money because they will just take it and don’t pay for a claim. Rude as Hell!!

This is a fraudulent company! They sold extended warranty for my porsche panamera and the dealership had my car for 2 months already, they refuse to pay basic coverage on it. Everything it's included on the contract and they treat me like a worst, even the guy at the porsche dealership confirmed they are the worst customer service they already got and refuse to pay basic problems like brake actuator and fuel pump. I bought the most expensive package and at the sales moment they said it's everything included. After finish the payments everything change. Avoid this company! Scam!!!!

American dream auto protect violates every known ethic to trick and deceive customers to buy into their product. This company do not abide by state law regulations , they are not licensed and bonded and they have a history of denying claims because they are a ponzi scheme. Do not feed into the reviews , the 5 star are bots or paid reviews they buy. Save yourself the headache and get your money back if you signed up. Update: American Dream Auto Protect has never resolved anything. This company is a fraud, post hundreds of fake reviews to mislead the public. I stand by my review it is all facts
