Ryder Toys designs and produces one of the most elite ride on car products within the toy industry. The entire operation started out as a side business when a father, John, was on the hunt for a fun toy to get his son Ryder.

Disappointed by what was available to him, John set out to create his own products using quality materials that would last and provide hours of fun for both him and his son. From there, Ryder Toys was officially born with a mission to provide parents with quality toy options.

Ryder Toys is still a small, family-owned operation with all products designed and manufactured within the United States.

Impressive Inventory

Even though Ryder Toys specializes in specific toys like ride-on cars and go karts, the inventory also includes jeeps/UTVs. The company's leadership has designed a number of high-end products that kids of all ages can enjoy and even offers parts in the event that something needs to be replaced. 

Models for cars include both one-seater and two-seater vehicles at the 12-volt level. Those interested in 24-volt models can choose between available go karts and ATVs. Whatever a parent is looking for, there are likely ride-on options offered through Ryder Toys. 

Secure Shipping

Considering the weight of the Ryder Toys products, shipping is something many prospective clients are concerned with. However, Ryder Toys prioritizes safe and fast shipping practices. Most orders through the Ryder Toys website are shipping out within 24 to 48 hours, with some exceptions for weekends and holidays. FedEx Ground is utilized for shipping, which is how Ryder Toys guarantees product safety and secure delivery.

Once an order ships, customers will receive a notification complete with all shipping and tracking information. Nearly 90 percent of all orders are on the doorsteps of customers within just three business days. For a smaller operation, these shipping speeds and practices are on par with some of the largest toy manufacturers in the country. 

Product Guarantees and Warranty

Each product sold by Ryder Toys is protected by the “smile guarantee.” While it sounds whimsical, the guarantee actually holds some weight. All Ryder Toys are guaranteed to “bring a smile to you and your little one's face.” 

Even though the return window is limited to 30 days, there is a 90 day warranty on all Ryder Toys products, and satisfaction falls under this warranty. Additionally, there is lifetime support available to all Ryder Toys customers. Not many customers will find toy producers that are willing to offer lifetime support on products, but Ryder Toys does. 

Premier Manufacturing

All of the products sold through Ryder Toys boast best-in-class design and the manufacturing efforts are on par with those designs. All ride-on toys sold through Ryder Toys are manufactured in the United States and done so through premium facilities.

Most toy companies have products manufactured overseas and are not nearly as concerned with the overall quality of the finished product. That is not the case with Ryder Toys as the quality of the car is of the utmost concern.

Limited Return Window

Return policies vary by company, industry, and product type. While some return policies are extremely flexible and offer customers unlimited return times, others are far more strict and require customers to decide quickly whether or not a particular product is worth keeping. For small, family-owned operations like Ryder Toys, a more limited return policy is common.

Ryder Toys will accept returns on products for any reasons within the first 30 days following the original purchase. The product must be in the original packaging and has to be in an unused and resellable condition. Any products that do not meet these restrictions will not be eligible for a return. Toy companies that operate on a larger scale generally have a more flexible return policy than the one enacted by Ryder Toys. 

Product Price

All Ryder Toys products are designed and manufactured in the United States. The quality of the products used are also more “upscale” when compared to comparable ride-on cars. The products' high quality is reflected in a higher price point. 

For the typical plastic, ride-on car sold through larger retailers, customers can expect to pay anywhere from $150 to $300. However with Ryder Toys, the cheapest ride-on car is $275 with the most expensive product costing $1,899 before shipping.

Despite offering a high-quality product line, there are limitations to what Ryder Toys can offer its clients. The return window, for instance, is limited to 30 days after purchase. That means if a client encounters an issue after this window, there will be no refund options.

I purchased the AWD buggy for my 2 grandsons (2 and 4 years). I did a good amount of research and made the decision to go with RYDER. While they are more expensive, I think the quality and the fact they are a USA manufactured product and stock many of the parts that could need replaced down the road after years of use decided it was worth it. I have a 3rd grandson who is 6 months old so I am sure we will eventually get to use this as well. My buggy was delivered quickly, and they provided links to easy-to-follow videos to assemble. Assembly was quick and easy. The remote is so nice to have, it lets the 4year old drive on his own and the 2 year old can ride with parents control.

I started looking for a truck for Christmas for my future grandson. He 4 and loves monster trucks. The Ryder company seemed to have a large selection with great reviews. The process was easy as I’m not good with ordering on the internet. Customer service was quick to answer any questions I had and very helpful. Our truck arrived on time and quick. We followed all the directions, assembled it and it wasn’t difficult. As this is for Christmas he hasn’t seen it yet. We are so excited. Ryder ride in’s are not your ride on’s from 30 years ago. Seat belts, mp 3 player, lights, we could not be happier.

I bought the All Wheel Drive Buggy from Ryder Toys for my 8 and 6 year old grandsons. This buggy is a piece of junk. Their customer service is a joke. Not sure which goes around in circles better. Had the buggy for about 3 weeks then the rear axel shock mount weld broke off. Use bailing wire to secure back on the axel. 2 days later the front wheel axel rivet sheered off so the left front wheel does not steer. Contacted customer service, sent them pictures and told what parts were need. Just got the run around about how parts not a stocking item. No resolution for 4+ months but got a bunch of sales emails about their 10% off sales. Read all different reviews. If it is negative review what they are saying is probably true. I could of copied and pasted my review from others. Do not buy from this company or this car. They do not back up their products.

We got this kids Jeep for our daughter, and she absolutely loves it! The battery life is impressive – it lasts long enough for multiple play sessions before needing a charge. The Jeep has plenty of power and easily climbs over logs, stumps, and other obstacles in the yard. We were pleasantly surprised by how well it handles larger hills too – it goes up them with no problem at all.

My Vintage Vinyl

What a game Changer from those little ride on vehicles from the big box stores. My grandkids absolutely love this 4WD Buggy. It has plenty of power that handles all the terrain of our 1 acre lot, and that's with a 12 and 5 year old on board. The charge lasted a little over an hour, and that was going full blast/ speed all the way. The price was a little more than the little ride ons, but IMHO it's worth every penny. Thanks Ryder Folks

I purchased the Dune Racer for my daughter just over 1 year ago (54 weeks). It arrived quickly, however, it arrived with a broken wheel. The Ryder team was able to get a replacement sent out quickly. My daughter was scared of it at first and refused to ride in it. She did not work up the courage to actually drive it until about a month ago. During that time, it was stored in the garage, and she would periodically sit in it. After about a month of use (5-6 times around the block), the remote would no longer allow me to turn the car to the right. All other functions work properly but for some reason I am not able to turn it to the right. I reached out to the Ryder team and after some back and forth they determined that it was an issue with the control board. They told me that I would need to purchase a new control board and install it. There is no way that a roughly $800 power wheel should be having issues after 5 -6 uses. The fact that I had to pay to purchase a new control board and pay for shipping is absolutely ridiculous. The car looks awesome and is great when it did work, but for $800 I expect either better quality or for you to stand by your product. Ryder feels like a scam after this experience. Purchase a power wheel from someone else and save yourself the frustration.

I absolutely love these ride on toys. I bought 2 of them (buggy and a jeep) and our children stay on these things as often as I will let them. They are a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. My favorite part is that the tires are not plastic. They go on rocks and in the grass very well. Definitely recommend these! DO NOT BUY FROM RYDER TOYS!! Your child will get hurt on this car. Horrible return policy and only a 90 day warranty which should be the biggest red flag here. I should have trusted my gut. I tried to return the car i got for my daughter shortly after the purchase but their "system wasnt allowing" them, then they convinced me to take a small discount and small gift card and after countless injuries to my daughters face and my legs/back, they are not honoring their 100% satisfaction guarantee. The buggy rattles with metal on metal clanks just driving on smooth surfaces, the cars jolt to a stop and will give your child whiplash and slam their face into the windshield bar that has a sharp edge, which gashed my daughters nose bridge, which bled and scabbed. I paid nearly $800 for a dangerous buggy that is a safety liability for my daughters face and neck as well. There is absolutely NO WARNINGS OR ANY EXPLICIT verbiage on potential dangers on the car, which I plan to take to my lawyer. They are breaching mulitple laws of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) 2008 and do not rigprously test their products. The battery also does not last anywhere near the 90 mins they advertise. It has died on multiple occasions and ive had to push back to my home, no neutral gear option so all four motors resist and its feels like a 400lb sled push workout. Ive strained my back/legs/hips, 5+ gimes just died within 30 minutes. Their response is that it "can last up to 90 mins" WHAT A SCAM. Terrible company, just buy the exact replica on amazon for only 300 and save hundreds of dollars with amazons warranty and amazing customer service. Its called the palbys 24v car toy They also say 100% satisfaction guarantee but dont stand by it or honor it. Still waiting for a resolution. 80 unresolved complaints on Better Business Bureaus site with an F rating, Not accredited as well!! Look it up for yourself. LEARN A LESSON THROUGH MY EXPERIENCE AND STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!

I purchased the AWD buggy for my grandkids. They absolutely loved it, it ran so well… Or so we thought… Within a few weeks, the motors in the back wheels both failed. They were replaced under warranty. Then they failed again… Poorly made, apparently. And I couldn’t get replacement for months! Then the battery stopped holding charges. You still can’t get a battery replacement. I finally found a suggestion on Reddit to buy battery cells and put them in the Ryder case. That worked, and my grandkids were able to ride it again… For a couple weeks when the steering column broke. They ride it in the cul-de-sac, and up into the lawn. That’s about the extent of it. This product is very poorly made, and it’s almost impossible to get replacement parts. And their emails back to you are very prompt, and full of baloney. They blocked me on Facebook from commenting on any of their ads, and they did not post my review on their website. Highly deceptive. Poorly rated on BBB as well. I wish I would have done more research before I spent $800 for a paperweight.

We have purchased the military jeep for our youngest grandson and this model carries the same quality as the larger version. Recommend to other grandparents looking to spoil their grandchildren.

My Son loved the Buggy so much. Customer Service was excellent too. At first, a part of the car was damaged during transit. I sought for help and spoke to this man named Jayvi. He assured me that he will be sending out a replacement part as soon as possible. After a few days of waiting, the replacement part came and from then on… My son can’t keep his foot off the pedal.

I purchased this for my soon to be 6 year old grandson who has autism and I’m sure when his father gets around to assembling it will sure be a happy camper. His last ride on jeep only lasted a year and a half from a big box store. So far I’ve had great customer service from Ryder and am hoping this ride on will last for years to come. Got one of their cars as a gift to my grandson last Christmas and he totally love it! doesn't want to do anything except playing with his toy car. Totally exceeded my expectations and true that it will last for 2-3 hrs. Just has some delays but their customer support did a great job on keeping track of my order and made sure it arrives just in time for Christmas. really recommend this company.

BUYER BEWARE all their pledges and guarantees are fake. I bought the 4 seat super size UTV for my grandkids. After less than 30 minutes operation, reverse stopped working. less than 30 minutes after that the brakes went out completely. as a result, my granddaughter and her cousin went off the driveway, down a hill and hit a tree. One would think this would be important enough for the company to pay attention. after over a week of back and forth e mails, they offered me a 30% REFUND FOR THIS JUNK THEY SELL. so I am expected to take a 70% loss on a $2000 toy and haul it to the dump. buy from a company that actually cares about customer service.

Bought a car for my niece but the color I want was out of stock. The customer support lady was apologetic and explained why the color I want was unavailable. She didn't have to but she gave my niece a free license plate as a birthday gift. Still, there's room for improvement like realtime update on inventory but their customer support representative are extremely helpful and nice.

Our car arrived just a few days after placing out order. It arrived just in time for our child's birthday party. Unfortunately the custom license plate took about 6 days to arrive, which was after the birthday party. We were bummed out the the custom license plate arrived separately from the car. Outside of that, our child loves her new ride! It's been great watching her drive around the drive way and back yard.

Purchase the all wheel drive buggy for my boys - and let me tell you this truck has been awesome. It has all the bells and whistle to keep the boys entertained this summer. Our backyard is a bit rough (filled with holes and mounds) and this truck has been doing great. High quality product and highly recommend to other parents.

ZERO stars. The worst kids toys that I have come across yet. It took forever to be delivered. Then took forever to get the license plate that came with it. Was supposed to get a second charger for free. Never received that. After 2 months of riding, the motor went out and had to pay over $40 for that part Then another motor went out and that is where we are now. They said it's past the 90-day period. So, we are out $800 plus dollars for the cost of the motor and now it sits because RYDER does not want to help! STAY FAR AWAY AND DO NOT BUY!!

After two days the battery won’t stay charged and we have to take it out to get it to charge at all. The bumper bracket on one side broke off and we can not put it back on and the side mirrors broke off after the first use.Also the radio never worked on it and the start button is stuck. For the price we thought this one would for sure last longer should have just bought the Power wheels one. The cover is also so big for it that it lets water in.

I would give 0 if I could!!! I ordered a pink truck Dec 10th. Immediately $836 was charged. I got emails saying my order was received and allow 3-4 days for shipping and tracking email. Still nothing 11 days later. I’ve called the company numerous times. I got one person to answer who said they would look into where it’s at and return my call and email me within an hour. Nothing and that was 24hours ago. I’ve sent emails for 2 days with 0 responses. I tried their online chat system. I was told I’d get a response with 9 min. That was 24 hours ago with no response. I finally got a hold of someone else today who told me it was out of stock they were so sorry. Mind you this was my child’s only wish from Santa and her only gift! Sorry doesn’t help. No one contacted me to tell me it was out of stock. Their website still states 5 pink trucks IN STOCK. No one has even attempted to refund my money. Now it’s too late to order a pink car from elsewhere and receive it. This company is a joke!!! DO MOT BUY FROM THEM. They should ashamed and from other reviews… they should be put out of business. I fear I will never get my $836 back either.

I wish I would’ve read all of the other 1 star reviews. We’ve experienced the same issue with our 24v buggie. It arrived with broken tail lights, a remote that will not stay connected and a touch screen radio that doesn’t work. It stops dangerously sudden. So much that my 6 year old hit her face on the windshield frame. The turn radius is that of a school bus. After much back and forth, I received a new remote and screen but no instructions on how to install. I called to ask for instructions and they said they would send right away but never did. They also said they couldn’t send me new tail lights that arrived crushed. I’ve never been so disappointed with an experience and feel like I wasted $900 dollars on a worthless power wheel. Please trust the 1 start reviews and don’t be sorry like I am.
