Offers initials discounts to lure in customers but then your price goes up by $50+ dollars during every renewal. If you call to ask for their reasoning, they read off the same script, some of the others do. Good company overall but not great.

I really like there rates. When it comes to covering for a vehicle that has been totaled, they don't cover it for more than 10 days. I was not happy because it was going to take 20 days. I had to threaten to change services to get them to do anything.

Progressive is okay. After getting into an accident, they were quick to respond initially but soon faltered. The customer service was terrible, so much so, I had to switch from my representative and work directly with their manager, which proved to be a little bit better. The prices seem one of the lowest in the market though, so that is a pro.

Recently switched to progressive from Geico and used the snapshot tool, my rates were lower with progressive however even after getting the maximum discount from the snapshot my rates went up after renewing with them.

Progressive has a good website that allows you to easily get an online quote. As opposed to other car agencies which called me to follow up on their quotes, Progressive has only sent me e-mails. I do not recommend getting a quote from them if you plan on checking out other companies as well.

In searching for car insurance, although they have good rates but it was a little expensive for us. If you're car is paid off & looking for liability I think they'll have the plan for you. Other than that it was a tad bit expensive for the coverage we were looking for but they are friendly. What may not work for one may work for another.

Not a fan. Had Progressive for only 6 months and when our next 6 months was about to start, the cost of our premiums doubled. Called customer service and it seemed the person on the other line had no interest in helping. Cancelled my policy and went to a different company where I continue to used.

I’m am on social security disability. I contacted progressive to get a quote. I never signed up with them. About three weeks after speaking to them my wife noticed that money was taken out of her account. We contacted progressive immediately and told them I had my OWN insurance on my cars. They said if I sent them a copy of my declaration page they would refund her account. To date they haven’t refunded her account and they now said she owes them more money. What a ripoff company.
