I've used AAA once when I locked my keys inside my car. I was told that it could be 60 minutes for someone to get to me, but then I received a call that a rep was on the way to me immediately. It was amazing to feel like a priority. And it's completely affordable with an annual fee. SO WORTH IT.

I have used AAA many times. I have locked my keys in my car, had a flat tire and once ran out of gas up in a canyon. Every time they were quick to come and help. It gave me a peace of mind traveling anywhere knowing that I had someone to call if I needed help. The only downside of using them is you have a yearly fee and don't always need them. Like any insurance- you would wish you had it when you find yourself in need!

We bought the AAA road service for my daughter when she went to school hundreds of miles away. I can't tell you what a comfort it was that she could call if she got into trouble. I would recommend this service to all my friends and family.

They are an amazing company to work with. They came out and helped me get a new battery in my truck after I went out and bought one that was the wrong size. They are a great company to be able to call when you are in trouble.

AAA is a helpful and friendly travel resource. They are the only place to go if you need an International Driver's Permit for foreign travel and they offer a number of other benefits that I haven't found with any other organization. Their fees are nominal and their services are unique.

I switched from Geico to AAA because I found AAA to be far more competitive with their rates. I enjoyed working with a local rep over the phone to select the coverages that worked best for my circumstances. Very understanding and helpful sales reps who offer none of the pressure that other companies do. The mobile app has been sufficiently helpful so far, though it does not offer as many features as the Geico app that I'm used to.

I really appreciate having AAA, especially since my car is 10 years old. A tire blew out on me once on the freeway and within 30 minutes AAA had sent someone to put my spare tire on. They were very helpful and nice and I so appreciated their assistance. I've also saved money various times using my AAA membership to purchase tickets for things.

I don't have enough good things to say about AAA. We have them for our home mortgage, car insurance and we have their roadside assistance. They have given us incredible rates, including good credit and good student discounts. And they have saved us time and time again in a jam when we run into car troubles!

I can't count how many times I have had to call AAA to tow my car. It has been such a relief having them to count on. They are always so fast and I never have to worry about calling a tow truck or being stuck without a ride. I recommend AAA. They are great!

I have been with AAA roadside assistance since the 1980s and it was a 5-star service. But with the passage of time it has become UNSERVABLE. I had canceled the service 2 years ago because I called them one day when my battery was useless at 9 am and they told me that maybe they would arrive at around 2 pm 😱😱 being in a central place, nothing far from anywhere, due to I canceled this. But believing that perhaps the company had improved, I went back to them 6 months ago, and today it happened again, I called them at 9:30 am because my husband left the car lights on and the car didn't start today, they said they would arrive at 10, then at 11 then at 12. My husband had to go out looking for help on the street, from the camera in the house I know that they showed up at 1:40 pm. when we had already left for work LATE. Conclusion AAA ROADSIDE ASSISTANT is a ROBBERY. They charge you for a service they NEVER provide.

Worse experience ever. We needed a jump. 4 hrs after we were told less then an hr, we still needed a jump. When we called to find out our eta, after an hr had passec, we were told 10 mins. Then got a phone call saying they were busy we would receive a call in less then 20 mins with an eta. That never happened. After calling and being treated like less then a human being, I tried to file a complaint and was treated with even less respect by the supervisor. Finally got a jump, by a good human being not by AAA!!! It's terrible we pay for their services but we have to wait behind all calls that are valued above ours.

Worst company ever. They are liars and frauds. You call them to get a middle tier membership, they say it's $130 which is taken immediately from your account. You are then told it will work at midnight that night. But then you call to get a tow and are attacked by the rep who is telling you a completely different story. Tells you you only get the basic membership for 7 days that only allows a 4 mile tow. Why would anyone pay extra money to get the minimum? Bunches of liars. Don't waste your money it's not worth it. Get roadside assistance through your car insurance instead of dealing with this crooked company. Thieves and liars all of them!!!!!

I have been a member of AAA for many years but the last (2) times (last 2 years) that I have used their towing service I have had a very disappointing experience and I wanted to share so that it’s out there and AAA can look into it and see if it’s a glitch that happened to me or it’s the new normal. I understand in life thing happens but I stil wanted to share and see if anyone has been in my situation. I requested a Towing in 2020 and it took almost 2 hours and when towing truck arrived, he took me as a courtesy passenger to another location to pick up another vehicle plus had to stop to add gas. I’m appreciative that I was able to ride with driver during covid since I was picked up on the I-95 and had no way to get an Uber driver but to drive me to another location and go get gas was a little off but driver was very professional and apologized. Second time was last night. I called at 4pm and got picked up at 8:30PM (4 1/2 hours later). Driver was very professional and nice but the wait was terrible. I was able to get a rental and had to pay a premium rate for them to pick me up where my car Broke down —-for 4 hours I was safe in my rental but again I hope AAA looks into it and go back to the AAA that once was very reasonable and customer service was amazing. Have a blessed day everyone—-

Unfortunately I can’t go any lower than 1 star. I called for service at 4:15 pm and was told 5:02pm a truck would be there. 5:30pm rolls around and no truck, I then get texted 6:19pm arrival while I’m on hold and was told the computer generates the times. 6:19pm rolls around and still no truck, then I was hung up after waiting on hold for 10 mins. Call back only to find out, the trucks been pushed to 7:19pm and at this point I wish I would of just called a tow truck and and I’d be long home by now. I’ll be on the side of the road for 3 hours if they actually make it on time, which I doubt. Go through your insurance services, as these people obviously only care about money and not providing quality service. I’ll be signing up for my insures road side policy and I’d advise everyone to do the same. There’s nothing worse than a company failing you when you actually need them, especially when you’ve been paying into it for years. I’m completely disgusted!

I usually have good luck with AAA service, but on Wed Dec 23rd I did not. I called to have a tow truck come to pull me out of the snow. I was sitting in a white out blizzard in the middle of the road in a trailer park. The lady on the phone said she couldn't send a tow truck because they wouldn't have traction if I didn't have traction. Isnt that what a tow is for?? I asked her what I should do then and she said call the police or tell me family to come pull me out! What are the police gonna do? I'm not having family come out in a dangerous blizzard and try and find me. I call Geico my ins company and they sent out a tow truck and he pulled me out without any trouble. So only certain tow trucks can pull people out?? AAA basically left me high and dry. Not sure I will be renewing my membership. Not one bit pleased how they handled this situation!!

0/5 very disappointed. I am very upset with aaa who normally is there to help me. Yes the waits are long but they’ll be there eventually. I was traveling from FL to SC. 7 hour drive. Half way in Georgia I pulled over and my battery had died. I called AAA at 10 pm. they said 3 hour wait. In the mean time my phone died. Because my battery was dead. No one showed up to even check on me. 2 am I had to search on foot for a phone. For them to apologize and give another 3 hour wait. 7 am rolls around. I give them until 9 before I go and find another phone to use. Mind you. There’s a pandemic. I’m a 20 ur old young girl traveling in a unfamiliar state. Calling them for a fourth time 11 hours of waiting. Slept overnight in my car. It was freezing. For them to never show up. After they started to apologize and tell me another wait I hung up and called the local police station who came and gave me a jump and within 5 minutes I was back on the road. AAA still has not contacted me to make sure I was okay. Or if I was still in need of assistance. Unreliable when u need it most.

I got a flat tire on my way to work, was able to get it to our parking lot where I parked beside my coworker. A guy from AAA came to put my spare on, he was not in any kind of uniform, the only reason I knew it was AAA was because there was a little sign on his van. He got his jack out to jack my car up. He did one pump and the end of the jack (the handle) scratched my coworkers car. I noticed it may or may not have made a mark but he definitely took a look at it and didn’t mention anything. After he left I saw it was a 3 inch scratch that took the paint off. So I called back which they directed me to the manager of the AAA store where the guy was an employee, the man was completely rude cutting me off and hung up on me. I am NOT one to write a bad review, but this was just ridiculous. I know accidents happen but to get rude and yell at me is just unnecessary.

This is the second time in a year I have tried to use AAA. Last year I ran over a thing in the road and had a flat tire. Called AAA and after 3 hours, still had no one to fix my tire. After the lst call, I called and called and called to get a update. They never called with updates. I live in a fairly large city with more tow truck companies then I can count. I finally called a friend to come get me and abandoned my car. The next day I got a friend to get my car to shop. I have never written a review in my life, but after yesterday I felt it was my duty to let people know what they are paying for with the present AAA. I pay extra for rv coverage and got a letter recently letting me know they will only tow and rv 100 miles. I have learned the hard way they will not tow and rv 1 foot from where it is stranded. Yesterday 9-21-2020 my rv ran hot on our way to a fishing trip. The belt was off and we could only pull over to the side of a narrow highway. No problem, I have AAA rv coverage. WRONG Called and got a text help was on the way. 1 hour 20 minutes later I called to find out when they would be here. Not only was no one on the way, no one was coming at all. They did not call or text to let me know this. They could not find anyone to do the job I was paying AAA for. We spent 7 hours making calls to find some help. I will not be renewing with AAA again. I have been a faithful customer for over 20 years. If you have and rv, I would think twice before you pay for this non-service. I hope this review helps those of you who are thinking of getting AAA. You are better off handling any situation on your own. That has been my situation the last 2 times I have called.

Broken down on the side of the road with a motorcycle with a sidecar call AAA they said that I could not go with the bike . being that there was no one at home to receive the bike they could not tow it. Then ask them about Towing it to a shop they said that it's Sunday all the shops are closed so they can't take it because there's no one there to receive it. So here I sit on the side of the road with a broken down bike unable to take it home. It's very upsetting to be left on the side of the road I'm a disabled combat veteran and AAA did not care about getting the bike home or anything else very disappointed

Took my sons car in for headlight restoration for a fee of $89.99 at our local AAA service center. He returned within the hour and paid the bill and collected his car. He thought the lights were hazy because of the sun beating on them but when he got home and we looked at them we saw they didn’t look any better than when he started. He returned to the service center to complain and gave it done again they said they couldn’t do it because they were booked solid all day. No one checked the work before the car was released. We told him to go there because they restored my truck headlights and did a superb job so we’re not sure what happened today.

I wish to share with friends associates acquaintances and the public in general an experience I have had of a highly negative nature with AAA. I will find no justice nor will I be refunded for my fraudulent charge, but I want to make sure that no one else gets screwed by this highly unethical and dishonest business. I would like to share my experience in the hope that I can bring awareness to others. I recently had to have transmission work done on my vehicle. I was in an area high in the mountains rather small town, with no transmission shop. After having my transmission looked at by the local mechanic, I was told that the issue was more than he could handle he referred me to transmission shops in the outlying Denver region about 70 miles away. I am a AAA member with 7 100 mile toes per year. I called AAA at this time and ask to speak to a manager or a supervisor or someone to find out whether due to the fact that coronavirus had shut down all public transportation in my area All buses trams etc, absolutely nothing was running, I asked whether their policies were changed in any way to accommodate circumstances surrounding coronavirus closures. I explained that the possibility of any form of public transportation was nil, I did not have a second vehicle and I had no way to pick up my vehicle after its repair I asked whether I could have my vehicle towedboth ways. Also asked whether I could present my AAA card the first time in person when the vehicle was removed and the second time upon its return and the agent I spoke to whose name was Alex said well I don't know I know we're making some exceptions and trying to accommodate some what to this Nationwide closures bet a lot of people are not allowed to ride with tow trucks I don't know let me talk to my supervisor. He put me on hold and I heard elevator music for about 5 minutes when he came back he said yes I just spoke to my supervisor and I was told that that would be possible we can tell your vehicle both directions it's fine for you to just present the card at 1 pick up and again upon delivery yes this is fine I asked if I could get something in writing or if they could make a note on my account or something and he said I can't do that but my supervisor just cleared it so there's nothing else you need to do is fine you can have it towed and we'll tell both ways. So I proceeded to do that when I called after my vehicle was repaired to have it brought back to me I was told that the age and I had spoken to or his supervisor or whatever the case have been mistaken under no circumstances would AAA towing operable vehicle regardless of circumstance or what I had been promised by their agent on a recorded monitored line. I proceeded to file a complaint with AAA headquarters I was told that if an agent makes a mistake that is not the company's problem the customer has to pay out of pocket to retrieve their vehicle with a tow company of their choice AAA will not refund anything nor will they pay for such regardless of what their agents or supervisors tell you. If it is not official company policy they can lie to you in any way they choose and theres legally nothing you can do. So, I have a $350 hard lesson. I am extremely angry at the Injustice of this. . AAA is a highly deceitful disreputable and dishonest company and I wish everyone to know this if you ever need to be towed never tell them the truth your vehicle is disabled no matter what the circumstances and do not believe a word anyone tells you they are the biggest pack of crooks I've ever encountered

My husband and I signed up for AAA clearly communicating that we drove a mini motorhome. The person who set up our membership gave no information about what the basic membership covered or did not cover. Again, we told the company we drove a mini motorhome. We took the motorhome on a trip under the impression that we were covered if we would end up stranded. We broke down on the side of a very busy interstate, and called AAA for help. One HOUR was spent on the phone giving information and being transferred to more qualified employees. After a whole hour they decided to inform us that they can’t tow us since we were in a camper, so we had to continue to sit stranded on the side of the highway while semis and cars sped past us. If you decide to go with this company, make them inform you about what they cover. They do not give you the fine print. You have to search for it. It took me 5 steps to get to the page that covers what vehicles can be towed. Get all of your facts before you rely on this company, because they do a great job of telling you absolutely nothing about your membership.

So I’ve used AAA twice in the past week, both times I was approved for a tow and had no issues. Today I try to order a tow and They tell me they can’t because I have no tags yet even though the past two tows I got they never asked me about my tags and never questioned them. I spoke to a supervisor, Anette was her name, and she told me they had been making exceptions to this this month because of the covid19 and the dmv being closed but that today they would not help me, even though said dmvs are still closed. She ended up telling me they would still do the tow for me, awesome, got my info and I was assuming she set up the tow, I got the text, at 11:19, saying my request was received, but didn’t get another text until about 40 minutes, at 12:51, saying my tow truck driver would arrive at 12:08 pm....well, it is now 12:39 and nobody is here. I have not received a call or text from AAA Or the tow truck driver since and I have checked the online link they gave me to track the driver and it says that they haven’t even left yet....so I don’t know if there was a miscommunication or what with the supervisor but I’m very unhappy with the lack of communication and whatever else seemed to happen that there was never a tow really sent to me. I will be cancelling my membership for sure.

I am Gladys Dark. I called for a jumpstart on my 2014 Mercedes Benz Thursday April 2, 2020! I was given 30 minutes for help to arrive in the Kroger (MacLand Rd) location! No one ever showed up. I call AAA back and was told I’d have to wait an additional 40 minutes! I am still waiting for help! I feel I should be given some additional services for compensation for whoever dropped the ball on this call. It’s getting dark and I’ll be in a deserted parking lot as Kroger and other stores are closing early these days. AAA and your contracted service providers have compromised my safety by being negligent in handling my call. I expect to hear back from someone promptly! Then a nasty AAA representative told me to call a relative after being on hold for half an hour waiting on a Supervisor that never came on the line! They out here being insensitive and jeopardizing my health as compromising the social distancing order! Then a dispatcher finally called only to communicate further delays talking about AAA never gave them the call! I am thoroughly pissed off to put it mildly! Regards, Dr. Dark

Car broke down so I limped it to the auto place closest to me. I had to be at work the next day so I got a ride and left my car there around 100 miles away. Got a quote from auto body very much on a higher end. So I called aaa to get it towed to me so I could get it fixed with my mechanic closer and yeah I had to be present even though I could be present when they dropped it off for me at the mechanic I wanted. Then to top it off the person talking to me just hung up after hearing some frustration in my voice trying to figure out what I need to do to get my vehicle closer and repaired. Worst service ever and it makes me sad.

They canceled my membership because they said it was abuse of service calls. I’ve only called them when my car engine was not running at all I had it towed to a shop, The shop said that it was going to cost a ridiculous amount more than they quoted so then I called AAA to see if I could get it towed back to the house so that it’s going to have to sit, The last call that I had was to tow a car that I bought an hour away for me to my house because it was not running and I had to wait three hours for them to come to me. Where is this taking abuse with AAA? That doesn’t make sense I guess they just want their money from people and they don’t actually want to help them. I will never recommend AAA to anybody I will share my experience with everybody it’s better to just have to pay out of the pocket then to pay AAA.

My experience over the last 3 years as a member as always been good, up until I tried to use their service today. I was a AAA basic member and after a year was told that if I upgraded that I would be offered more services. So I upgraded and haven’t really used the service too much since. I called for a tow today after being told by a AAA tow driver that I can give them a call to get my vehicle towed to the shop of my choice for repairs. I called them only to find out that they don’t offer service to me for my vehicle because it broke down at my home address. I was then told that it states this in the handbook and online. I went online and found no evidence of this being true nor did AAA send me any handbook regarding anything the whole 3 years I’ve been a member. So at this point now, I do not recommend their service unless ur miles away from home and don’t mind waiting years for their tow service to come. I’m also not pleased because I was lied to by the rep on the phone just to get extra money out of me for upgrading my service to not be able to use their service. I advise anyone looking for a good service company to make AAA your last and final decision. They will lie to you to get your service and money.

I’ve been a AAA member since I started driving and have been mostly satisfied with their service; HOWEVER they completely screwed me over when I needed to have a tow. I called and they informed me I only had 7 mile tow which didn't sound right to me since I was sure that I had 100 miles, so I went online and updated it to the 100 mile tow. Call again and they said I only have 7 mile, uuhhh what??? I told them I just got the 100 mile tow and they said “you have to wait 7 days for it to kick in” how incredibly asinine and absolutely STUPID!!! I asked if they could please make an exception but nope, didn’t even matter to them. I ended up waiting there for my partner to come and use their tow. That’s horrible customer service to someone who’s been a member for so long; it’s really making me consider looking into another insurance/roadside service business.

So I left a light on in my vehicle did not realize it when I went to the doctor's appointment I came out my car was dead I called AAA at 4:22 pm and gave my exact location and was told someone would be there by 5:14 I received a call from the dispatcher that was supposed to show up he said that he did not cover my area so he put in another claim for someone to come and jump my car so I called AAA back and explained the situation that the first person stated he did not cover my area they said go ahead and hang up a dispatcher is going to call you and let you know when they will be there another dispatcher did not call instead I received an automated call from Triple-A stating that another dispatcher would show up at 5:40 so 5:40 comes now the dispatcher says that he is not in my area and then I would have to call again and ask for somebody to come out and provide service and this is the third time mind you my first call was at 4:22 it is now going on 6 in the evening so I called AAA back and the young lady said well now nobody will be able to come out to jump your car until 6:40 at this point my phone was dying I was really exhausted it was cold outside and I wanted to get home so I could not wait in the car any longer I only lived a few blocks from home I had to leave my car there and walk home I am very disappointed that you service you pay for.

I’ve had AAA since 1997 I buy it for all my children I haven’t used it in years but I always thought it was nice to have. That all changed today my car died in the middle of town in 30° weather. I found attempting to reach AAA by phone required a lot of patients in the over two hour wait. Just waiting for someone to answer the call was extremely surprising but the lack of customer service was devastating. Each of the three times the arrival time of the tow truck past my phone calls to AAA were met with longer delays to reach an operator and then an employee with little assistance for my dilemma. Many years ago I used AAA with wonderful results it is obvious to me that is no longer the business model and the experience of minimal service is the standard clients are forced to except. Extremely Sad.

When we were getting quote for car ins this company was very friendly and they were great at explaining things. When I compared prices they were a good amount higher. The agent lost some of his friendliness when I told him about the comparison.

The reason for this review was because of a past experience I had. I am with you people for road side. I tried using one time a few years back in Windsor, VT. While on my delivery job. After waiting almost an hour, I cot call back with this message: "We have no one available at your location". I had to call the police. They were reluctant to help. Because I was delivering pharmaceuticals to nursing homes, they opened my accidently locked vehicle.

Over 2 1/2 hr wait for AAA roadside assistance to get help for a flat tire on my car. Poor communication from AAA. They weren't going to call/text me back until they had a service truck scheduled to help me. At an hour I called for status. At 2 hours again I called for status. At 2 1/2 hrs again I called for status. At the 2 hr call they stated they had so far called 17 stations who all refused to take the service request. So I phoned some of the companies that declined. 3 of the companies that were 8-14 miles away told me they would not come that far for a AAA call, but would for a regular call or other insurance coverage. The contracts that AAA has with these service providers is such a low amount that the service providers decline taking AAA service requests. Other factors - this was not rush hour on a busy day - this was a Wednesday evening starting 6:12 pm until 9 pm. This was not in a rural secluded area - I was in a urban area, in Lansing MI by Home Depot only 3.3 miles from the state capitol. It was close to 9 pm before a service truck arrived. This was horrible service, especially since I am a "Plus RV" member, of which I've had my membership since 1999 (20 years)! This was horrible service.

I would give them no stars if I could. I have been a AAA Plus member for 19 years. My husband and child were on my account as well. I only used my card for roadside assistance and restaurant discounts, occasionally. I received a letter last week stating my membership has been cancelled due to disproportionate use. I called and was told I went over the number of calls I could have for road side assistance by one two years. This was only lockouts. My husband has never had to use the card and my child may have only once the entire time we’ve been members. Each person on the account gets 4 calls a year.(That’s seven that were not used in each of those two years) According to the member info., members are to be notified when they are close to their limit (I would always ask when I called, and was always told I was ok) I never received an email, phone call or letter. When I inquired about this, I was told a letter had been sent to me. The first person I spoke with mentioned no letter. It’s rather odd that I receive all other correspondence from them. I was told of the millions of members they have that most average only one call a year. If this is the case how am I costing them money? Sooo I guess you are in good standing with them as long as you do not need them??! It is quite obvious they don’t stand by what is stated in their recruitment material, that they want to be there and help those in the community in their time of need. I was told no one on my card could apply for their own card. They would have to receive an invitation to join!!! NO THANK YOU . It’s obvious they are all about the mighty dollar. Since this has happened to me I’ve read reviews from employees that are of the same opinion.

I was gifted AAA for a years worth of service. I was not aware of the “4 Use Limit a Year” policy. 1st use : Jump start on my car. 2nd use : Jump start on my friends car. 3rd use : Another jump start on friends car. 4th use : Tow for my car Now the 3rd use for my friends car happened in Las Vegas around 1 AM back in 2018 in May. Our service guy was very creepy, too creepy. Creepy to the point where some people passing by asked if my friend and I were ok. Mind you we were 19 year old girls alone in Las Vegas out for a bite to eat then head back to our hotel. My biggest problem I ran into with AAA though, this one pissed me off. I was traveling with some friends along the 89A through Sedona, AZ around midnight. We saw some crazy looking stars so we decided to pull over. We end up chatting for a few hours with the head lights on, mind you it’s pitch black outside in the middle of no where. The headlights go off after awhile-the battery dies. I called AAA, asking for a jump. They say I’ve used all of my available services. I explain my situation, no money, young girls in the middle of no where, don’t know my exact location. They still say they can’t send someone out because of my usage limit. I tell them they can charge a fee to the account or if there was anything they could possibly do. They end up transferring me to the supervisor. I explain the same situation, she says the same thing. “You’ve used your limits”. At this point, I’m furious. How are you going to let young girls be alone in the night? At least offer help or something else. I end up hanging up, worthless. It’s now about 3 AM. We end up flashing down cars, super safe, right? Some people were nice enough to stop, but no one had jumper cables. We end up going into this trailer park town nearby, but it’s almost 4 AM at this point... super sketchy. I end up calling 911 as my last resort, explain my situation, call drops (LOL) I pull up my maps, fire station 10 minute walk north, motel 10 minute walk south. We were going to walk to the fire station, but like I said, it’s pitch black and we’re on the highway 89A. We would’ve gotten hit truth be told. Making our way back up from the trailer park, we see the Sheriff parked at my car, thank God! He jumps our car, obviously unhappy he had to jump some teens car in he middle of nowhere when he could’ve been sleeping or doing something better with his time. Very thankful they tracked us down. Get your stuff together AAA, you only care about paying customers (duh). But at least try to do something when someone’s in distress and needs actual help. poor service. Also I canceled my subscription, and got mail asking for a new membership charge. YEAH RIGHT. take pride in your customers. Glad to be alive.
