TutorMe tutors are available to their students 24/7, 365. In less than three minutes, they can connect with an expert. Also, TutorMe allows their students to either choose their tutor or have TutorMe match them up with one. Most companies only offer one option.

TutorMe has one of the best varieties of subjects available in the tutoring industry. They cover basic courses such as English, science, math, and foreign languages, but they also offer subjects such as computer science, engineering, humanities, professions, and more. Tutor Qualifications

In order to become a tutor with TutorMe, applicants much have previous tutoring or teaching experience in addition to a mastery of the subjects tutored. Also, they need to be enrolled in or have graduated from an accredited university. I am currently a tutor on TutorMe, and I'm very happy to recommend this service. My rating is from the point of view of working for the company and providing the tutoring services. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because the process of claiming lessons to instruct is so competitive that it can take some time just to get set up with a student to tutor. That being said, if you are a student looking for a tutor, then just know that there are tutors chomping at the bit to help you out. The interface in the lesson space provides multiple options for working through questions and teaching lessons. When I've needed to contact IT support and customer service I've received a response in less than 24 hours, and often much sooner. This is a very professional tutoring platform that I believe is successful in its goal to provide quality tutoring services.

Good idea, but needs some improvements. I found TutorMe looking for ways to work from home and use my bachelor's degree. I did some tutoring in college, but I wasn't successful. I only tutored one person; however, with TutorMe I am able to reach a larger audience of students who need my help more often. The tutoring platform is well thought out and benefits both the students and tutors with a fair rating system and pricing. Unfortunately, their tutoring boards are a little hard to write on compared to other writing/drawing programs (One Note, Paint, etc.) since it doesn't register small markings (periods, the dots for lowercase i's, and circles look like random irregular polygons). Once this issue is fixed, I will give it 5 stars. Overall, TutorMe is the best way for tutors to make a little extra money while helping students that they wouldn't have been able to reach otherwise.

TutorMe is an awesome service, and while I cannot speak for the students, as a tutor I am a very happy employee! I feel genuinely productive, as I get to teach students in a personalized way because the Lesson Space is dynamic and I can choose what aspects to use while teaching. I also like the chat feature, where I can stay in touch with prior students, and maintain continuing relationships with some of them. I already have a few students I regularly help out. I only wish there was something in the interface to schedule future sessions with students, and an alerting system. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

I work as a tutor on the TutorMe platform. I'm enjoying my time as a tutor so far. I get a steady flow of students every day, so I've been able to form relationships with some of them. The lesson space is really great, there's a whiteboard, a text editor, a code editor, and a file sharer, which is everything I need and more to teach programming, math, and physics. PROS: Lesson Space is very well developed, has many media to hold lessons Simple Interface, easy to find things Weekly payout via Paypal One button to switch between Tutor and Student mode (Unique!) Chats to connect with past and current students CONS: Low Pay ($18/hr) is lower than most other sites Uber style matching means tutors have to sit and wait on the site for tutors to come by Relatively low student to tutor ratio as of September 2017 Desktop Notifications push too slowly, by the time I click on the notification the lesson is usually gone No incentives for great teaching - No bonuses or even online achievements / badges No way to set up future or reoccurring appointments with students No features of top-performing tutors No testing / verification of tutor knowledge of subject areas

There is 50/50 chance to get a tutor that is willing to help you. Some tutors go way and beyond to help me with my assignments but others that did not meet my expectations did not understand the struggle of a English as a second language student. For example i will need help with an assignment the tutor would explain me in a way I wont understand. I would ask for clarification and sometimes it looked like they were on a rush. But that does not mean there's good people on tutorme, because others would help me a lot.

I love TutorMe, it has helped me a lot in the past and helps me a lot currently (taking Organic Chemistry II). My only complaint is sometimes it glitches out, and I get disconnected from my lesson, but it always once that happens it lets me know that I won’t be charged since my session was interrupted. Customer service/IT/help desk respond within 24 hours as well. TutorMe will for sure help you out through school, whether it’s college or high school. You’re able to connect with live tutors who respond and answer all your questions you may have :)

The lesson space where tutors and students collaborate is well-equipped to handle all kinds of questions and material, and the writing labs function is very helpful for students to receive writing feedback and tutors to do asynchronous work. The biggest downside is that jobs are hard to get at first- you have to be really fast to claim them, unless you want to work odd hours.

I think they are amazing and I was doing bad in one class they help me get my grades up and help me understand things that I didnt. I would tell anyone to go to them. Two things that do kind make me stop form giving them a 5 is one we run out of to much time form our school and I wish we had more. Another thing is that if we run out it is to much to pay out of pocket. I wish it was a little less money for people who dont have job or for people who can not work or they are full time college students.

It can be a bit difficult to grab a lesson before someone else claims it, so you have to be intentional with your time spent tutoring and ready. However, it does get easier once you get the hang of it. Overall, I enjoy using this tutoring service.

TutorMe has provided great additional income for me. The only drawback is the limited amount of students compared to the surplus of tutors. The customer support is 100% responsive and the students are great! Not only does this help the student increase their success while learning but also helps the student and tutor build rapor to better fit the student's needs.

I have been a tutor at this website for almost a year now. They do have the best lesson space out there which loads very quickly and is very easy to use. They have really nice management team as well who are open to suggestions and have a mindset of problem solving. One suggestion from my side would be to test and try the new feature offline thoroughly before making them live cos untested features may create problem while giving a live lesson to students. Keep up the good work and looking forward to change the way people learn. :)

Easy process to get connected with a tutor. They are able to show you work on the whiteboard and you can save the whiteboard as a pdf for later. It’s best when the tutor is able to use the microphone, otherwise it can take a long time to get through the tutoring. Overall easy process and nice tutors.

Tutoring in math was slow going the first week, partly being slow to click on available lessons you have a second or two to click on available ones most of the time before someone else claims them. A couple of times students specifically have reached out to me after I had tutored them and got lessons that way. Tutoring is probably also slower in the summer in the US when I started. The tutoring process is nice with the tools available on TutorMe. It is enjoyable seeing different kinds of problems that I don't assign to consider including similar in my classes that I teach.

This job is really great if you are a tutor and want to make extra money on the side. There is no guarantee of work which isn’t the best but if you are supplementing your current income it’s great. You can talk with students to figure out if you are right for the job before you accept which is great because it minimizes wasting yours and the client’s time. All in all I would recommend.

Paid by the tutoring session rather than by the hour, TutorMe offers the freedom to work however often/whenever I choose, from the comfort of home. I tutor two different subjects which allows for a lot of variety. The platform is extremely simple to use, yet robust enough to switch each lesson from text to audio to video with screen-sharing capability at the click of an icon. Payment is seamless through PayPal. Not the most lucrative of jobs, but I can recommend it to anyone who wants to work from home with very little hassle.
