I signed up HBO Max and the Roku app did not work. After several frustrating minutes and no help, I asked to cancel. I was told that they were going to keep my money even though I could not use the service. ("there is a no refund policy for subscriptions billed directly through HBOMax or WarnerMedia"). I wish I could give it a NEGATIVE amount of stars! This is the WORST streaming app I’ve ever experienced. Of course it worked perfectly during the free trial; now that they have my money, I can’t even watch one scene of a show (much less an entire episode) without it being choppy AF! They’re such a ripoff!

The app is terrible! You can't fast forward or rewind without running in to the glitches. This app is very easily confused and just freezes. If I could give a minus review I would have. HBO Max fix your app or charge generic start up prices!

Not worth the free trial even. Have had it 2 days and nothing wants to load. We have very high speed internet. No problems with Hulu, Netflix or any of the others except hbo now. DEFINITELY NOT worth $14.99 much less the free trial

If HBO double charges you or makes any mistake they will not refund or credit you. They have done this twice to me. They like to double charge you then....not correct . SOOO... I call that theft. STAY AWAY FROM HBO... They will take your money and run, laughing.

I had no problems with HBO and always liked thier shows until now. Thier complete idiotic butchery of game of thrones has completely thrown me off HBO for life. Highest ratings ever huge profit margins then rushed destroyed story line. I think they should be sued for taking a great story and then crapping all over it.

First it won't work on my main computer which runs Linux. It won't even take the user name/password. So then I try it on my Windows computer which I keep in the kitchen. On that one I get "cannot play video, try again later". They should re-name it HBO Never.

Poor choice of movies. Got free trial thru Amazon, but then they trick you to create a profile on their site. Cancelled thru Amazon but didn't know I had to cancel on their site as well, so charged for another month. They are ripoff artists!!!!

We used HBO for about 6 months. After we subscribed we noticed their menu of what they had available to watch was very limited. We never could understand their menu and lack of showing the customer what they had to offer. We gave up and cancelled today.

Signed up for the free trial and could never connect. That was until they billed me for the month. Signed in and cancelled and they did not give me a full month of service, just 14 days. Signed up because I wanted to see Bohemian Rapsody. Tried to see the video 3 different days now and haven't been able to connect. What a waste!

And when I signed up, how come they did not alert me I was not eligible? At the end, they are charging me for a free trial (that is the name of the product) that I cannot buy. MISLEADING !!!!!!!!!

When I watch it on my fire stick it pauses every second. Don't get me wrong it has amazing movies and shows, but the network is just really slow I've never seen a network stop so may times during a movie. I personally don't even think it deserves 1 star it deserves no stars.

I was charged $16.01 before my free trial was even finished. I guess they have a no refund policy as well. It's unbelievable! I was planning on terminating my subscription before I was charged but I guess they charge you even before you trial is finished.

I wanted to cancel my free trial days in advance, but you HAVE to do it on the computer. You can't do it on the app, or online on your phone. This is evil since it forces me to race against time and get back to my computer across the state. It's ridiculously ludacris.

Canceled my subscription 3 weeks before the auto-renew and I still got charged. They wrote an email that basically said, "yep, we see you cancelled your membership, but no refunds". They are thieves. PLEASE will a lawyer start a class action lawsuit.

Everytime I go to watch it makes me signin and who wants to go thru all that and today I’m unable to sign in and it’s not sending me my password reset email. Completely unusable. Every time we want to watch, we must uninstall and re-install the app. This was the best solution the support team could come up with. Not worth it. We love HBO and are willing to pay $15 per month for it, but when a company makes it clear they don't want your money, I do my best to listen.

Worst streaming channel I’ve came across yet. In order to watch a show on HBO NOW I have to restart the channel at the beginning of every episode due to the entire screen turning a white/grayish fog. ??? Plus y’all just cost too much!!

I love hbo and having access to the product, but it keeps freezing. I have DSL internet and fast wifi. works well with netflix and other services but hbo freezes for minutes at a time over and over again. really sucks when you are enjoying a show

Garbage. I got this app so I can watch HBO without having a tv service provider. I still can't watch HBO even though I'm paying for it. "Video Player Error" shows up almost every time I want to watch something specific. I thought this app was a "video player" but it will not play videos. It should read: "Broke. We scammed you!"

The good: Great selection of original content worth $15/month in my opinion. The bad; Shows often unwatchable per constant buffering with wireless connection regardless of your internet speed / signal strength. Assume you will need a wired connection from your router, otherwise don't bother.

Wanted to see Obama on Bill Mayer. Ended up watching it on YouTube even though I pay $15/month for HBO Now. Because it is not Now. Should be called HBO Later. The episode aired 10pm eastern and here it is 11:15pm pacific 4 hours and 15 minutes later the episode is still not available to watch.

Trying to redeem Costco TV's HBO NOW credit since Aug. 25 and today is Oct 19. I've been getting the run around and no one wants to be accountable. Very, very poor. We love Costco and have always gotten great customer service from them. Perhaps HBO Now can learn from Costco...

It's a scam on the public. They have oversold so it will never improve. Everything mentioned is true...the constant loading, please wait that takes 5 min for every minute watched, the useless customer service, etc. I have a 3 mo free subscription and am cancelling one month in because it's so bad. I can't imagine anyone actually paying for this.
